  1. I had made a deal, so I wouldn't break that deal, especially not for $10. I'm the one who said $50, because he was a genuine buyer - as opposed to all the other offer makers. SOLD (picked up tongiht)
  2. depends on the state
  3. Like I said guys, when I said make an offer, I was serious. Someone's picking them up tonight for $50 for the whole set! Thanks for all of the pms guys, but I'm a man of my words, and atm, they're sold to the bloke coming tonight
  4. Sorry, but I don't agree with you on that one gary. Basically, there are Australian Standards (ADR). Your car has to comply with ADR. Essentially, say for example,w hen you first bought your car, it would have had nissan brake pads. They would have been ADR compliant. When bendix make brake pads, they are ADR compliant, and therefore, they are legal. Same as the window wipers, etc. If you check the RTA's website, there is a fact sheet about suspension/chassis modifications. But I do agree with you in regards the insurance and accident point
  5. Where can you get a jvc one for <600? brand new? I'll buy one tomorrow. Like even in ricefield car radios, you're looking at over 1k for even a single din
  6. RE55 semis sold. HKS adjustible actuator sold. To the people who have pmed me showing interest in the other parts, as I have not heard a reply from you, they are now back up for sale again. Everything is now avaialble and for sale.
  7. Guys, want this gone this week. make an offer - I need to clear the house or mum will kick me out
  8. alright guys, running out of room. Make an offer and come get them this week
  9. Your gts4 isn't overly fast. Probably about the same as an older model camry (141 kw at fly) or a vs commodore (145 kw at fly). Similar weight too. Probably similar to a 1.8 lancer or a civic
  10. Well, what you said is right, depending on the make of tyre. Across different tyre ranges, i've seen quite a large variation in width. This is what I have seen from my experience (thus why I recommended what I did): 7" soarer rim - 225 was buldgy. 205 would have been perfectly straight sidewall. 6.5" stock gtst rim - 205 was even a sorta striaght. 225 was buldgy. 8" gtr rim - 225 - fairly striaght, or slightly buldgy. 205 tyre was nice and straight, or slightly stretched. The reason why I recommended 205 is because going wider doesn't increase the side of the contact patch, it merely changes its size. By putting something wide and buldgy on, instead of increasing cornering performance, you're likely to go backwards
  11. Haha, cuddle chair Dave (Nytsky), I've got an ecv. It does bring the noise down a lot, but what I was saying was its just the car itself that brings the attention. People have been defected even for not loud aftermarket exhausts (not really defective at all)
  12. I would say that the two reasons above are very likely. I'm sure that for anyone who have been to the wreckers before asking for a part would have seen it. e.g. do you have an rb25 compressor elbow? yeah, i'll have to take it off a car, one moment.... Poor guy buying the motor will be missing all the little niggly bits
  13. also, in regards to the banjos being the wrong thread, you can get ones that will fit from enzed/pirtek
  14. Ok, its a 5 bolt housing, so its not an r33 stadnard turbo. If you unbolt that monstrosity of an adapter on the exhaust housing, you should be able to get a 5 bolt dump pipe made up. Either that, or just pick up an r33 turbo housing and whack that on the catridge, then you should be able to use your skyline dump
  15. Things never go as planned. a turbo install is hardly ever 1 day. Hell, even waiting for a turbo has taken months before First time, I was short of all these parts, had to run backwards and forwards from the shops etc. like even for copper washers.
  16. agreed. for 7.5" wheels, i'd put 205 tyres, 225 at most
  17. Yep, 8 months is totally spasticated. Basically, that goes down to everyone taking a lot longer than they are supposed to (including my jap agent not putting it onto a boat because the boats were supposedly full for months - more like he needed a car to drive)
  18. Check the price slide sells em for. I've got a brand new one (never been on car - only opened plastic to have a look at it and make sure that all parts have been included) here that i'm not using. If you pm me a reasoanble offer, i can express post it to you asap
  19. If you have a 4 bolt exhaust outlet, it simply won't work. As far as i'm aware, even the older 500hp highflows were still straight bolt on. Well, if you want to get it working, you'll have to get new intercooler piping made up and a new dump (you said so yourself). Possibly new oil/water lines. I would move on and get a proper striaght bolt on turbo. I don't think you'll be driving to work next week....... That's why I have a daily driver - mandatory if you want to modify your car.
  20. So many mechanics like to jack the cars by the sills. My sills haven't been touched. that's why I work on my car myself. I know that bending the sills probably doesn't do anything, but i like my car to be perfect, so i don't want someone coming along and bending them!
  21. Hurry up and put yours on Dave. haha
  22. When you say it collapsed the metalcat, you mean it bent in all the metal fins? or it melted them and it welded together? Or do you just mean that it destroyed the emissions substance on the cat, and thus the black smoke? Bit ambiguous.
  23. there is, but its expensnive! I went to magman to get my wheels fixed. it's fairly expensive. a fix of guttering is supposedly $80-100, but for my wheel, he charged 150. the wheel was straight, he said it was 150 because it needed some welding. 150x4 = 600 - not sure how worth it that is
