Thanks duncan and rb30. One last question. What sort of curing time are we talking about? e.g. I take the sump off, clean it, apply silastic. Then put it back on, torque it. Can I then fill it with oil and start driving? or can I fill it with oil and not drive it for a day? or can I not do anything at all until it's fully dried? Cheers fellars

Instead of getting a different wheel, would putting on a larger exhaust housing, to shift the power band up later into the rpm help?
-
Ben, I'm not sure of the specs on your particular highflow, whether it's the same as the current gcg. Nor do I have a powerfc, so I can't comment on the map tracer. If you fit a pod filter on and when you're flooring it, do you hear flutter as the revs are rising? not when you take your foot off. How bad is the compressor surge?

R33 Rear Speakers With Good Bass? Recommendations
MANWHORE replied to LatinR33's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
i'll 'borrow' one of your old subs. please please please. Haha, I'm poor. Help team I need cash racing to get some sick doof -
yep yep, I get what you're saying - sounds like what would happen if the person before went a bit agro and overtorqued it, it would bend the sump inwards, and no longer sit flat
-
oh ok. I'm assuming that it's oil resistant and also heat resistant for use on a sump? (silly question, but I always ask silly questions so I may as well )

Perfect. I've got those standard pipes that the gtr bovs are on. Both of them Chris - 0403 211 482 i'm guessing that owgasm changed the bovs on his gtr, so would have kept the pipes, but i've got the pipes. so you can just whack his bovs onto my pipes

Thanks for that keymaker What brand of gasket goo is a good one? Every auto store I ask recommends a different one. Some guys recommended any rtv sealant. others recommended locktight blue. others recommended permatek. Any difference? does it have to be oil resistant? How nasty is that gasket goo stuff? e.g. will it be a bitch to clean off in the future if I ever need to redo the sump again?

Hey guys My daily driver (not skyline), it's a subaru liberty 91 model (ej22) has a leaking sump. I've checked repco etc, but there is no sump gasket listed for that model. I'm guessing that it uses a liquid gasket. I'm looking to reseal the sump so that it doesn't leak anymore. What would be the best product to use? What would be the best way to applying that product? Any other tips? Cheers

Like I said, my favourite part was where the idiot stepped out in front of the car - yeah, nice road crossing skills there. First one - bogan doing the burnout - the girls at the side of the road had the looks on their face because they were upset that he was ignoring their skanky selves. I think the reason why the woman crossing the road made the gesture was because she realised she was an idiot for stepping in front of a car. bogans in the vl - his friend realised that they were all inbred hicks, so he was just admitting it. not one single clip showed speeding - yeah, nice ad idiots. so much for using the language of young people - no one understood the gesture. the speeding kills ads actually had effect, whereas this one is just a joke - it's too funny -

Gb: Gts-t / Gtt Silicone Inlet Pipe From Airbox To Turbo
MANWHORE replied to Bass Junky's topic in Group Buys
yeah, definitely, these are worth a decent amount. good on ya for organising this. Everytime I do a turbo install, and I look at the stock pipe, I hate it. We're getting em for a good price. This is affordable. -

Good on ya pete. These seem like a good thing. It'll be interesting to see if they make any noticeable difference. For me, the most important thing is that it is straigth bolt on. Do you reckon we'll get it before the 30th july? that's when my holidays finish. it'd be good if we could get it before then -
Does The Fuel Tank Need To Be Near Empty For Pump Replacement?
MANWHORE replied to Lachlan33's topic in General Maintenance
It's not hard man. I don't use wood, it just breaks up into a million pieces. I use a decent hammer, not a little pinner one, and a screw driver. Pow! Pow!, and it turns. -
shanef - if he's using the stock washers, they are not the crush washers. they are flat.

Haha, lame bogan chick does the pinky finger, driver does the flop, chick = owned. How lame is the pinky 'gesture'. So muhc for the RTA using young people language to target young people. No one even knows what it means. To me, when I saw the ad, I was thinking she wanted a finger where the sun don't shine (seriously). -
it's been done. Sorry, I don't have the link, but if you have a search, I posted links to the r31 forum. has wiring diagrams, what you need etc. I've done it with an au falcon coilpack before.

Convert 300zx Coils To Work In Rb25
MANWHORE replied to redfox78330's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
not sure on the answer to that, but coils are cheap as chips. most people have em for sale for $50 for the full set. If you have a check in the for sale section, i've seen some over the past couple weeks -
I'm sick of this nonsense. Seriously. car enthusiasts get treated like criminals. pfft powersteering leak. How many old cars are there which have leaks all over the joint. My daily driver wagon used to have oil leaking from the cam covers x 2, crank seal, rear main, sump seal, powersteering pump...... I've fixed a couple fo those to keep my garage floor clean, but about half of the seals still leak - i bet the cops at a defect station wouldn't look at it twice and wave it through.

I'm not simple minded. Nor would I not think about the price of tolls if I had an etag, so I don't think your comment was very nice. What I was saying was just a comment in regards to that particular friend that I observed, as well as several other people that I had observed. In regards to your comment about working out that something will cost me money - obviously they have the right to charge for something. If you actually understood the point in what I was saying, you owuldnt' have made the comment. When they build a new road, people should have the choice to travel on the new road or the old road. i.e. if you wish to pay the moeny, you can go on the fast road. If you don't, you can go on the old road. Like I was saying, for the people coming back from the airport to the north, there was a time when they had this hump in the middle of the road at the lights so you couldn't even go through. Even now, there is only 1 lane, about 50 speed humps and speed limit has gone right down. It used to be 2 lanes, and 60 ks, no speedhumps. That's essentially forcing you to go to that road. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'll admit that i'm not made of moeny. I don't get paid a lot of money, and paying 7.50 worth of tolls to go to the airport and back is a lot of money for me. If you're rich, then good for you

no, and no totally different fit.

I saw the ad tonight on the tv. All that I can say is that the ad designer, and whatever are stupid. They're targetting speeding. Not one of the cars showed that they were speeding!!! One of them showed this fangadore doign a burnout. How is that speeidng? - so he's an inbred hick doing a burnout, what does that have to do with speeding? Next one showed this fangadore driving past this woman wlaking in front of it when it was driving past! woman shouldn't be standing on the road, the guy wasn't speeding either. Next one shows the fangadore doing a drift, and his pimplefaced friend in the back does the pinky gesture. IMO, it looks like a young bunch of blokes are going for a fang. I doubt if he'd come, that he wouldn't have liked it. in real life, he'd probably be cheering on, or he wouldn't be in the car. He'd be at home slapping the monkey on the computer looking at porn instead. Seriously, not a single car actually speeding there. IMO, the speed kills ad actually was more effective. first time I saw it, I was like shit, speeding can be dangerous. But with this ad, I don't see how it is using young people's language. I dont' even know what that gesture means. Also, I'm sure that if peopel speed/do whatever, it's because they like it. I'm sure the guys here woudl agree, it seems to be a thing once you get your ps, most guys go out for a fang, speed etc. They do it because it's exciting, not to impress some girl standing at the side of the road. -
having said that though, I'd probably do the swap myself, so that's why it wouldn't be hard. If ou have to pay someone, factor in some labour too.

People make it out to be a big job, but in reality, it's not really. Basically, manifold off, turbo mani on, plumbing for oil/water lines, dump/front pipe - exhaust etc. turbo ecu, i'd do turbo injectors too. probably a fuel pump. brakes a cheap if you want to do them... etc
