thanks for searching first mate. You have pretty much found the answer. SI and SII are the same layout. I've changed an 89 model ugly poo's turbo before, and it had the new lines and banjos. It would appear that it was a very early 89 model issue where they used different lines and banjos for the waterlines - they were 22 mm instead of 24 mm. I've also done a 90, 91 and 92 and they were all the correct 24mm one. you're right in your searches.

Experience With 2nd Hand Injectors
MANWHORE replied to benl1981's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Replacing pintle caps is completely unnecessary. they don't go off or anything in any decent time. think of all the r ugly poos out there that are up to 18 years old (89 models)!!!!! they're still running injectors without ever having been cleaned. your ones being 2000 or so are only 7 or so years old. Definitely replace the o rings.. they're not expensive. they might not leak if you don't, but they're cheap, so save yourself the hassle. 40 each is 240. What sort of a circus or are they running. Forgot the name of the place, but out south of sydney, bloke ultrasonically cleaned them and changed the orings for $110 inc gst. If you want, you can rig up a circuit to open the injectors, and buy an ultra sonic cleaner. It's useful for doing other stuff too. That's what my friend did, but he's not willing to do other people's stuff for legal liability reasons. -
This Stock Or After Market? Dunno What Kind It Is
MANWHORE replied to BRUNSKIGTST's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
that's an rb20, but yeah, same thing. To the person who told you it's not stock, what made you think it wasn't stock? -
Just rebuilt engine with an oil leak? what sort of gumby put your engine together? Was he aussie? he should stay with his holdens and fords.
-
how much hassle? too much. sell it and buy an r33 one.
-
s2r33, In your situation I'd go for an r32 gtst turbo.
-
best for you to search, but yeah, there's a fair difference. they say about 25% more airflow at the same boost seach for the fitment too.
-
check out the tutorial - osme of the older r ugly poos used 22 m banjos, in that case, you'll hae to source some either later ugly poo lines, or rb25 lines. the later ones are 24 mm later ugly poos have the right size banjos. I've even seen 89 modesl with the right size bolts - I think only the very early 89 models had the 22 mm

Regrooving Semi Slicks - Can It Be Done?
MANWHORE replied to R32zilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
1. old tyres are probably dired out and hardened. 2. regrooving semis? wtf? they're not truck tyres 3. is it worth the money? 4. there's not much material there - refer to 2. just whack em on and smoke em up (on the track or skidpan of course) If they're gone, I woulda just ripped em up in te last session -
Just Had A Suspension Test...
MANWHORE replied to heslo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I've gone to peders before just for laughs and giggles with my daily driver. I'm not saying their all bad, but of course, i'm sure quality will vary. It was funny how they said that every bush under the car was perished. They really weren't! they then put it onto the orgasmatron, and said that the shocks were a bit worn - I could have told them that the shocks were worn. -
wogboy, you're actually very right sayingn that about the angles. The tein kits are pumped up mega strong. Arep - strut guys don't know shit (beleive it or not). When I first went onto this quest, I asked a couple of them. This one guy was an absolute wanker bogan, and was really rough, and goes oh, what we'll do, is i'll make up some brackets, come down and try it on the car, then i'll adjust the brackets, come back again, i'll finalise them, then... I was like f**k off (i lived about 75 minutes away - I'm north he's south). Any reasonable fabricator would do it on the spot. Some other dumbass was saying nah, you only need 1 strut. He was planning on putting the strut going from the strut tower, to the front of the bonnet! the point of these is to make more room, not to make some spastic sort of contraption. Or why don't you ask rice extreme customs to make a set for you, or do they sell em? tein do make r32 gtr kits. that is your bestoption
-
It would - have a look at the tein/top secret design i posted in post #2. because it's bolted onto the bracket, the angle is very flat (unlike yours which is very vertical, so it deosn't ahve to pivot much .
-
omurru, that's what I was looking at too - without drilling and tapping. I found out that top secret actually sell an ecr33 kit (gtst) which uses the guard's bolt hole - just the small bolt. so it must be ok. But the price is f**ked, when at the end of the day, it's just a small bracket, bolt,a nd strut
-
you CAN'T use an air compressor!!!!!!! The fitlers have micro pores, and when you use an air compressor, you blast the hoels out making them bigger. I don't see any problem in giving them a light vacuum, soaking with soap and rinsing, then drying. I wouldn't scrub it, because that'll destroy it, but i'd wash mine when it needs to be washed.
-
Good work, but i was hoping for someting a little better. Just like the tein kits how they don't require drilling! I was wondering why you decided to go for that approach as opposed to fabricating a bracket to bolt onto the stock bonnet bracket etc so you don't have to drill holes?

The pod filter wouldn't cause your boost to go up to infiniti. Something is at play here. With my stock turbo, it held boost perfectly. I had all of the usual gay stuff like ic, exhaust, pod, blah blah blah. With just the actuator connected, it would hold 5 psi. with the normal dual boost thing, it woudl do about 9 psi after all those other mods. never higher. Somethign is definitely at play there. It's impossible if the flapper is wired open for it to still go to crazy boost. If you knwo someone that knows a bit about turbos, get them to take a look at it. A pod won't do shit in terms of affecting boost.

Nismo 740cc Injectors -- Too Small ?
MANWHORE replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nismoid, do you have 360 rwkw in your r31? far out, she must chirp seconds. how's the response? like when do you get full boost by? rb30, 25 or 26? Anyways, so answer your question, sydneykid usually says the cc rating is approximately equivalent to the hp. -
awesome wogboy!!! very keen on the pics. perhaps a close up of both sides, and also, if you could maybe quickly (or as detaield as you would like ) outline of what you did
-
I use ELF excellium. fully synthetic. I used to use motul 8100 - was $52 a bottle. now i use elf - 45 a bottle. seems to be pretty good too.

R34/vg30 Turbo: Compressor & Turbine Wheel Changed To Metal?
MANWHORE replied to Andi's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It is possible. The vl guys on calais turbo experiment a lot with different wheel sizes for highflowed turbos, unlike here where everyone just says get a gcg. What you'd expect, is response a decent bit later since metal is heavier than ceramic. It's not worth the upgrade. having said that dyno testing a stock turbo on 15-16 psi (was dropping off) and was tuned, yielded 225 rwkw. I would say that if the wheels were metal, and if you pumped it up to 18 psi, you'd expect 230 rwkw max probably. not worth the upgrade. just go for a gcg -
I pmed and sms'd you matey. In sydney too
-
In that case, then your actuator is stuffed. If you're using the actuator with the solenoid, then since the actuators run 10-12psi, then + the 2-3 psi of the solenoid, it can be 15. But if it's just the actuator, then yours is broken.

I Am A Bloody Idiot. Please Read And Help
MANWHORE replied to habibskyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hey aarlan I agree with you matey. I'm not saying I condone what he did. I'm just saying, that there has been enough flaming, so I won't do anymore, and i'll try and answer his question a bit. -
I Am A Bloody Idiot. Please Read And Help
MANWHORE replied to habibskyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've noticed that a lot of guys have just been flaming you, and knocking you, when i'm sure you already feel like shit, and don't need to be punched in the face while you're already on the ground. You're young, and may not have gotten over that speedy phase yet. Anyways, even where you are wrong, a solicitor/barrister can always help you immensley. The issue is with our court system (not a bad thing, because that's where i'll be making my money) is for the lay person, it is heavily biased against you. If you try and represent yourself, you won't know what to do etc. The DPP is a lawyer, so in a situation that it would be touch and go, he'd win. As a lay person, it is simply very difficult, if not impossible to know everything you need to know. e.g. what about if the DPP attempts to bring in hearsay evidence etc, will you challenge him citing provisions of the Evidence act 1995? or say if the DPP is attempting to prove the elements of your offence, are you able to identify the relevant section of the crimes act/other legislation etc. Get a good lawyer. he'd be able to advise you about what to do etc, and represnt you. I have had a friend in a similar situation, and the lawyer costed him $800 for the day. that's very cheap. -
Mines Ecu+safc2+larger Injectors
MANWHORE replied to lingeringsoul's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
mines do not tune their ecus to max out their injectors. Simply and utterly incorrect. An safc can be used to play with afrs a little bit, but not to the extent that larger injectors require. A friend of mine is developing a way to remap the r33 ecus easily. The solution won't be released, but he might look into doing it for other people too. stay tuned.
