  1. Hey guys I was just wondering firstly whether an r33 and r34 radiator is the same? Is a gtr radiator and a gtst radiatior the same in terms of cooling? or is the gtr one better? Will an r34 gtr radiator fit into an r33 gtst?
  2. This is over 12 months old mate
  3. no no no, don't do 100 watt bulbs, don't do hid
  4. haha, bash the screw with an impact driver.
  5. Why bother replying to this thread? Because while my skyline doesn't drive in the rain etc, I have a daily driver? I have tried a few different products in my daily driver, but thought I would just tell people to be careful getting those products onto their paint.
  6. I'd say the only possible things here are: 1. Waste gate acuator is either busted, or the little rod has come off the knob - no i'm not joking. 2. turbo is blown 3. intake problem - intake piping has either come off, or one of the silicon hoses has split into 2 pieces or something. bov won't cause you no boost
  7. I'd use one of those ebay t3/t4 turbos. I know someone who installs them and hasn't had any major problems.
  8. Bought an r34 turbo off someone, because my rego was expiring and i needed somethign to get it back on the road. I didin't end up needing it, didni't install it because my turbo came, so it's for sale. I'm looking for 450. Why? because it's an r34 turbo. The shaft play is consistent with that of my new turbo, so i suppose it's had relatively low ks. Best way to contact me is call me because i don't use sau all the time. 0403 211 482 (Chris).
  9. It is possible. the 45 v1,2,3,4 are just different revisions of the compressor cover, but they're actually all the same. I've had all 4 next to each other, and there is no difference. As for the exhaust housing, just undo the bolts, put the turbo in a vice and knock the housing off, then put it on the other. bob's your uncle.
  10. sent you a pm, got one in sydney.
  11. what goes there is the charcoal canister - that's an emissions thing. Some gay compliance peoplpe, like xxx went cheap and bought these gay aftermarket charcoal cans. these f**kig big mofos are the size of a paint tin. they hacked up my car by drillign holes into the strsut tower near the dip stick, and put that f**king big mofo there. the stock one is where the pod sits.
  12. leds are dimmer than bulbs.
  13. For the stock turbo on a gtst, i don't see why people even bother using an ebc. If you get a full exhaust and fmic, boost will increase a bit already. mine was running about 9psi with just those mods. then i put in an r32 waste gate actuator, and boost went up to 11-12ish psi. no spiking, bolts straight on, looks stock, boost drops off less at the top end. if you need one, i've got a spare one. i'd just sell the ebc off, because you can't really run more boost than the 32 actuator anyways on the stock turbo
  14. Nice job there matey (not criticising your work), but imo, it defeats the idea of having a pod. the closer you get to fully enclosed, the closer you get to the stock airbox
  15. haha, i get what you're saying matey. you're right.
  16. don't worry about venting the headunit.
  17. Everyone knows about that little bolt on the plenum, it is the air bleeder with a little warning in jap next to it that.
  18. nice one matey. great pics
  19. i've also seen heaps
  20. I'd rather not drink that not drive my skyline I'm not really into alco anyways. I'd much rather let my car sit there for a year and just drive it up and down the driveway than to let a someone else touch it. I'd rather have my car towed home or call my only 1 friend that I trust to drive it to come get it if i'm unable to drive it. Better than to say bye to my car letting someone who has never driven a turbo car before drive. Driving a skyline is totally different to driving a normal car. If a chick who normally can't drive very well (not saying they're all like that, but i know heaps who are) gets a bit excited and hits it, things could get a bit nasty.
  21. I actually find 1-4 the same. 5th is the one that i find really slow - I put the gear stick there and wait for it to pop in. Feels like it's taking forever. Having said that though, 1-4 feel pretty gay in the sense that they're a bit notchy. I know that that's the way that the box is, because my friend's r33 has a brand new box, and it's like this too (running vmx80 mineral oil - good stuff - i've used the synthetics except redline - wont' touch that crap, and imo vmx is the best for your box).
  22. I would go for the hks gtrs if you had about 2.5k to spend. Best response, everything will bolt up perfectly, because it's a full kit. everything is included, including a heavy duty actuator, bolts, washers, lines EVERYTHING. If not, i'd go for the gcg highflow - cheap, striaght bolt on, ball bearing. It'll make 250 rwkw EASILY. responsive. PS: if you're looking to get a highflow, and wanna borrow an rb25 housing to take to gcg so that your car isn't off the road for as long, i've got a couple here. I've been lending them around to forum guys to help people out.
  23. I just checked the tyres just then and they're heaps better than I thought in the beginning.
