MANWHORE replied to MANWHORE's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
pm replied. I want this gone by this weekend if possible. -

110% gtst - have you read a single thing that was said in this thread? If you had, then obviously, you wouldn't buy it.

Oh ok, that's fair enough. I thoguht it was to make them nice outside (they're usually dirty outside, because they're in the wheel arch, and people don't always run the wheel arch plastic.

Hey Guys I have to sell my trolley Jack. I'm a student, working 1 day a week, and I have a big credit card bill to pay. Item: The jack itself is a WTD branded trolley jack. This is a decent brand. It was purchased from Repco just over 12 months ago. Condition: In the time i've owned it, I've probably used it about 5 times, so it is almost brand new. It's always been stored in a garage, so it's not covered in crap. It's been looked after. Price: $150 - guys, this is really cheap, so please don't lowball me. Comments: This jack is a large jack and it has a large saddle on it. The jack itself is very solid. This is NOT one of those little flimsy jacks you see for sale at autobarn/kmart etc. It is one of the large 2 tonne jacks. The weight rating isn't what is important - it's the size. This jack is literally twice the size of those small ones. When you see it, you'll know what I mean, because I was stupid and bought one of the small ones, and it's still here, so you can compare them. Don't buy one of those little crappy ones, when this one is much bigger and stronger. Those little jacks can't jack the car up very high either. For those of you who have bought the little ones, you'll know what I mean. They can't even jack the car high enough to put a stand under. This price is a bargain for a big jack that's almost brand new. If you look on ebay for equivalent ones, they're 200 +. Location: St Ives in Sydney (about 10 minutes from north ryde down lane cove road). Pickup only - the cost of postage would be expensive. Contact: by pm or call me on 0403 211 482 (Chris). Picture: Pics added below.

heavy - 1410. Everytime we've taken a 34 gtt onto the weighbridge, it always weighs a lot more than that though.

They're not very tight at all. I would say it is one of the loosest tight bolts on the car (if that makes sense). Just put some muscle into it. Don't be scared.

Maybe. It'll be ultra ultra rich, probably foul your plugs instantly. That is if it starts. From memory, rb20 injectors are 270 cc, so you're going to 440 cc. It's easy to change injectors. Maybe just bring your tools with you and do it in your tuner's carpark?

I have a questoin for you: WHY? does it serve any purpose? Gtr bovs are hidden anyways. you can't see it. why make alloy housings, whatever. You're more likely to make them function worse than how they are now. If you want to make them pretty, polish them.

So what's happening Kezza? You're internet is back, so how's our bezza's going? I got a reply back from jstyle after like 3 months. His reply said sorry about the delay in replyign this message and nothing else useful - yeh, that was a real help wasn't it. It's obvious there was delay in replying, but what are you going to do about it? Cheers Chris

hey eug I don't know whether it's because mine is a turbo, but I have hardly any tin at all. Once I get it back onto the road, I'm happy to do a driveby video for you or whatever I reckon the reason why you guys are getting tin, is because you're using stainless parts. I hate stainless. Even my lousy highflow cat is stainless, and I can hear tinny noises through that. i reckon if there is any tin, it comes from that. I have the cast manifold, cast turbo, mild steel exhaust. so i suppose that's why it's not tinny. Or it could be an na thing, not sure. A sidepipe might also be an idea, but I don't think it's actually louder. Just puts the sound elsewhere. Plus, it would be very obvious, and totally spasticated to drive lol Screamer - Maybe

Have You Upgraded To A R34 From A R33?
MANWHORE replied to siddr20's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Going by that theory, how come people keep arguing that old 32s are better than 33s? Cheers Chris -
Search. In answer to your question, YEah, bung the screws. Bung the panel off.
-
Yeah, the turbo makes it softer. Basically, a straight pipe is as loud as you can go. That's max. So my car is at max atm (short of going for bigger pipe). I'm already at 3.5" and that's massive for the street. I just wish that it was louder, like yours. Well, I was just suggesting, you know how you said you don't like the soudn of how your car is atm, maybe if you took a picture of the components on it, and gave indication of piping size, material etc, we could suggest which one is making the bad sound so that you can change just that part and save money.
-
Um, I think you have totally misunderstood the way the ecu works. I will explain it later maybe tonight.
-
Well, obviously, you can do it in real time on the dyno.
-
ps: dyken, if you take pictures of your whole exhaust, tell us what amterial was used, piping diametre, etc, we mgiht be able to tell you which component is the cause of the bad noise and how to improve it instead of replacing the whole thing. PS2: I really like the volume on your car. I'm running straight pipe on my gtst and to be honest, it's not loud enough. I wish it was louder. I've got a bigger turbo now, so hopefully it'll be louder.

the good thing with those jap catbacks, is the sound has been 'designed' I suppose you could say (excuse the english, i'm tired). When you just rock up to liverpool exhaust or other places, what you get can sometimes be a mystery. One of my friend's na skyline ended up sounding like a tinny pos. Another exhaust shop did this awesome deep exhaust for him, basically no tin at all.

String and sticky tape are the best inventions ever.

No offence to you either, but one person's good is another's bad. The laws of physics apply to everyone
-
I'll look out for you. I go to around thornleigh all the time. No offence, but that's not a very smart thing to say is it. If someone would be busted for returning it to you, obviously they wouldn't. (just saying that it mgiht scare away someone who might have returned it.)

There is no such thing as a good kit period. Halogen housings have different optics to xenon housings, so they cannot focus the light properly. End of story. The only option is a retrofit of oem hid into the housing. I'm guessing that you hvae an r34 gtt? with the xenons that have been converted from compliance? I forgot the blokes name, but there's someone with a black r34 on here who put a kit converted headlights. The light output was crap, because the kit puts the focal point of the bulb in the wrong spot. Go oem. r34 headlights aren't that expensive. I've seen them go for $600 for the pair in perfect nic.
