phew, luckily you got em mate. I thought you had gone on holdiays or something
-
hahaha, you guys are a serious crack up. I'll just reiterate again. DO NOT BREAK IT. I just went through the biggest pain about a weak ago. I said to myself do not break it. Snap. I had my friend with me helping me at the time, and he was rushing me, becuase he had to go. Now, I absolutely refuse to do a job when there is no time. just do it the next day. I thought shit, my friend has to go in 20 minutes. this is really seized. I'll just break it and get on with the job. I didn't use any wd40/ironox/penetrene. I didn't try taping it with a hammer to loosen it. I didn't try heating it. I just cracked it with the breaker. that was the most stupid thing. snap. With a bit of care, it wouldn't have broken. then, I rushed to use easyouts. I didn't drill the hole fully centred, since I was rushing. Then I snapped the easyout. I tried to drill, but the easyout snapped 2 drill bits. I got a bigger bit, but the easyout pushed it sideways, so I drilled a big hole next to the easyout. Snapped one massive easyout in there. no fun. lol

I have never seen a vg30 with vatn. Is it a factory unit? or has it been modified/created aftermarket?

Missing Factory Boost Solonoid = What Exactly?
MANWHORE replied to Lachlan33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
well, at some stage, most likely a boost controller has been run. That's not to say that your car is a lemon or anything. Bitta extra boost is no problem. We all do it anyways. Your previous owner might not have lied to you. He might have bought it from japan like that thinking it's stock. it's alright mate. If the whole car is nice, reliable, runs well, no problems, then that is what it is. a good car. Wehther it's had a boost controller doesn't mean it's deflowered or anything. -
haha kawaii is a top bloke.

You haven't really asked a question. Everything you've asked has been answered. I'll just assume you'er wondering whether you need em, well, what your tuner is comfortable with is the best. If he thinks you need injectors then get them. I rekcon you need some direction. If you have no idea of what power goal you're aiming for, then we can't help you. We don't even know what engine you're running. rb20? rb25? rb30? rb31? sr20? If you're only going for 210 rwkw, then you won't need injectors.

don't worry about the solenoid mate. Just install whatever boost controller you want and be done with it. don't stress. They're for sale on the forums all the time for like $20. -
How The &^%$ Do I Get This Water Line Off !
MANWHORE replied to Birnie's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Jase mate, have you got it yet? What are you using to get the hose clamp? long needle nose pliers - supercheap auto sell them for like $7. I went down to visit my car to do a few small things today, and I thought just for the fun of it I'd stick my hand around the back just to remind myself of how hard it is. Didn't have any problems? Have a look at this pic. See how it goes around the block? Can you get the other side of the pipe? -
how much boost are you running now? which slide highflow? how much power are you making now? do you have a z32? come on man, if you don't provide the info, people can't help you. But yes, if your injectors are maxed out (maybe around 230rwkw) installing new injectors will allow you to run more boost and make more power (yo'ull need a tune though). Highflowed injectors have the same effect as installign larger injectors
-
Depends on what turbo you're running. We need more info. Like if you're running stock turbo, you can't max out the injectors, so you don't need highflow injectors
-
not to mention it is an offence to carry a weapon such as a flick knife
-
yep, spot on the money.
-
get a sock and put it over the powersteering and brake mc. Not only does it mop up spills, it stops dust and stuff from getting there so when you open it, there's no dust to fall inside

awesome work. I love what you said above, about not expecting to finish it in 1-2 days. That's so true. If the skyline is your daily driver, it'd be really hard to start working on it on saturday expecitng ot be able to make an appointment for work on monday
-
Vigilante justic. Protecting our children of tomorrow. hope you get well soon. Good luck with the surgery (if that' sthe correct thing to say - you know what I mean). Hope it all goes well, and doesn't hurt too much
-
at least you gave them a good pounding so they'll think about doing it twice. 2 on 1, that's real fair. One day, they'll pick on a small guy thinking they've got him, then all his friends will come around the corner and get em.
-
nah nah, the black one isn't you. I said hi to the owner before, and his name is dan. Maybe he was just passing through. hey mike, wanna pm me and tell me what happened?
-
ah ok, I live on a street off warimoo. you know near toolang oval? T04gtr is the only serious skyline in St Ives that i've seen (haven't seen yours yet). The rest are all banged up shitboxes/riceboxes owned by kids
-
There aren't that many. There's patto with the grey 32 with the vertex kit. There's dave with the r32 gtr. There's me with the black sII r33. there's this ugly silver one. there's this crappy wine red one. There's this busted ass black 32. There's this rice charcoal 32 near st ives north public school And that's pretty much it for the whole suburb.
-
That's bloody aweful. I live in St Ives too mate. When you get better, we should have a north shore meet.
-
I agree with what you said psi. I would spend as much on the helmet as I can afford. You see people go off and spend 5k on car mods, then be stingy and pick up a helmet for $100. Is your head only worth $100? It must be if you're that stingy to spend that little on it. Keep in mind that if you are collided from side on, your head WILL hit the window. Head bashing window = bad. I'd much rather have a good helment protecting my fricken head, than some cheap arse one. If you've spent 5k plus on car mods, I don't see why a helment worth anything up to 500$ isn't too much
-
I've done about 60 km/h, is that near the limit?
-
i can somehow guess the subject and contents of those communications between you and him based on the netbank comment. lucky you for getting out of it alive. 18 months is bloody ages. If he can't get it, too bad. He should have paid you back straight away. Sucked in to him. That's what you get for trying to sell things before you take possession of them. nothing good ever comes from that. He sounds like a scammer anyways
-
Why would low rb need someone to give him permission to install a turbo?
-
Agreed. Check the fuses. If one bulb was out, it's a bulb. If all the lights are gone, it's most likely a fuse
