I'm not a member of the club but it seemed to be run by a bunch of guys that are open to suggestions in how to improve the general running and organization of the event. After the presentation all the competitors discussed how it could be improved and advertising was brought up along with other concerns ie scrutineering etc -

I agree. As far as I know it was only advertised with the Canberra Hill Climb Club and local radio. I found out through word of mouth and this is why I posted it here. -
Hi All, The Cooma Monaro Automobile Club Inc. will be holding their third Hillclimb at Mt Gladstone on the 18th of May. Due to a small turnout last race (22) it's possible it could be cancelled. Read email that I received: "Fellow Hillclimb Enthusiasts, Attached are Entry Form and Supplementary Regulations for the CMHAC Mt Gladstone Hillclimb on May 18. If you intend to enter this event please do so early. There is a significant amount of work and expense required by CMHAC officials and volunteers to set up the event, it is a public road and must remain open the day before and the day after the event, plus the restaurant at the top needs to be financially compensated for the inability to open on the day. Due to the disappointing number of entries for our hillclimb of April 6, the club has decided to review number of entries received on May 5th and decide on whether the event will go ahead or be cancelled at that time. We would hate this new hillclimb venue to fail due to lack of support, so urge you to enter early if you intend to do so. We are entering negotiations with CAMS with a view to running full type 4 vehicles (unregistered Sports Sedans) for the events after winter, which may interest a few more entrants. Julian Besestri Event Entries" It was a well run event and a lot of fun,It's also a good chance to test your car and skills against liked minded people. At the last event I battled it out with a couple of Evos and came out on top! Here's the link to the club: http://www.coomacarclub.com.au/mt-gladstone-hillclimb/ Some competitors have uploaded their race on Youtube if you want to have a look at the course. It's only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Canberra so for all you Canberrans it's almost South Tuggeranong! Please show your support because it would be a shame to see it cancelled!

Thanks Chris. TEIN coilovers and suspension components. Sitting on 19x10 +15 with 275/35 Hankook semis all round = fun and lots of grip

Keep going son it's Jap.........reminds me of last year when a 2012 HSV GTS pulled up next to me at set of lights with what looked like Dad driving and Son in passenger seat. Dad said loudly and obnoxiously to son,"would'nt pull the skin off a rice puddin". Needless to say at the next set of lights the Dad was hanging his head in shame and the son looked awe inspired at my car! I still laugh about it. I like cars for what they are not who made them. By the way nice looking 34, the graphic stripes remind me of the HKS 34 demo car.

Best Clutch For High Hp?
Never Enough replied to GTRAGEnz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The ATS clutch slips well but once it warms up it tends to grip harder so higher revs are required from a standstill start. If you search there's other members that have posted similar questions to yours. This should help you make your choice. -

Best Clutch For High Hp?
Never Enough replied to GTRAGEnz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I used to have an Exedy twin and it was a pig in traffic and the pedal was a lot heavier than standard. I now use an ATS triple carbon clutch whick feels like a standard clutch to drive. They're also a lot lighter which makes it easier on gearbox synchros between gear changes! The only downside is that they're are fairly expensive, but if you can afford to run a 650hp RB then I guess you can afford one of these. Highly recommended! http://www.nengun.com/ats/carbon-clutch -

Hello, Most people call me Waz and I'm what you call a newbie to this forum. I live in Jindabyne, I'm a mechanic and fitter & turner by trade and I bought my dream car 6 months ago - R34 GTR which is not very standard - 305Kw atw and just shy of 600Nm, suspension, brakes, semis etc etc. I also have a cressida with a 1JZ that does 12's. I have worked on and modified cars all my life as my Dad used to have an engine building business (now retired but I have most equipment). I took my car, for the first time, to speed off the streets at Wakefield last Tuesday and lapped consistent 1.11's and some 1.10's once I got to know the track a bit more - too fun and can't wait for more!!
