  1. Sorry guys. I'm out. The GTR's transplant won't be finished in time for this weekend.
  2. 2 wheel skids. Syvecs have a controller to turn off FWD.
  3. R35 skids might be on the cards................................watch this space.............
  4. Hey Mike, Just checking - we enter through the QR website, but payment is made to the club?
  5. Yeah....I'm a bit sloooowww...........
  6. Definitely in.
  7. I'm doing the sprints on Sunday. See you there.
  8. Major bummer re Greg's transponder. What was the final washup there? Did he get any money back - did they finally sort it out at all? Best for me for the day was a 56.2. The biggest smile I got though was watching the GT3 disappear in the rear-view.

    Props To Justjap

I've also had a trans sensor issue recently and ended up getting a built box from Justjap as I have plans for future mods down the track. I really can't talk highly enough of the service I received. It was bloody fantastic. I emailed them on a Sunday and to my surprise got a reply. After many emails through the day and also into Sunday evening, I bit the bullet and went with a box they had built for Targa Tassie. Trans was shipped to Brisbane Monday and the car was ready yesterday. I haven't had any dealing with Justjap in the past - and as mentioned I'm in Brisbane - but I will certainly be using them again in the future. Also big thanks to CMR at Capalaba for their wonderful service.
  10. Sorry for late reply. I'm in. Money sent tonight.
  11. I'm in. What time do we hit Lakeside? Might have a run in the Open Sprints too.
  12. The R35 has currently got an off-the-shelf tune from willall and cats back exhaust and mid-pipe. Custom tune to be done soon to hopefully get a little more out of it. There's a 10 in it now if the driver can get his sh!t together. Re running 10's at willowbank, they changed the rules quite a while back. If you have a modern car with disk brakes and airbags you can run 10.0 without needing a cage or chute. I've run quite a few of 10's in the GTE without getting booted.
  13. I was trying a few different things to get a better launch - trap speed varied from 125mph - 129 mph. Think I've got the launch control sussed now, so will be heading out again on Saturday to try and sneak into the 10's.
  14. The normal T&T is straight after - so your mate can just run then if not with the club runs.
  15. Yes it's been cancelled. Norwell is having trouble with the neighbors whinging about noise.
  16. They allow passengers now if you're 12.0 or slower. For a regular T&T's the passenger pays $20 and must have helmet, long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes.
  17. I took the GTR out for the first time on Wed night and was a little disappointed not to crack a 10 sec pass. Best was 11.05. Mine's also got 360awkw's. The main issue was the launch. I'm also getting 1.8 60fts, but these things should be doing heaps better surely. I get high 1.5's in my 2 tonne barge (5.0 supercharged FPV with 420rwkw's). I'm guessing I need to fiddle with the launch control? It seems to hesitate just for a split second on take-off at the expense of a good 60'. ATM launch I've got LC5 flashed in. Any advice guys? Heading back out to Willowbank on Saturday arvo.
  18. I'll have to be gone before 2pm, but in for the cruise. Will I donate to the club account - or cash on the day now?
  19. I also notice that Brian (BCL) frequents this forum (I know him from FordXr6turbo.com from a few years back). It would be interesting to get his perspective as he now has an R35 after having a string of high powered Turbos from other manufacturers. I find it interesting that a lot of enthusiasts are ending up here.
  20. Hey Daniel, We're tarred with the same brush - as you would probably know from Ford Forums. I've had a number of high powered Fords over the years and recently jumped into an R35. Right now I've got a 2009 F6E(currently on the market), 2010 GTE (one of the quickest in the country atm - 10.8@130) and a 2010 R35. Pump fuel and street tyres is also my "thing". I bleed blue, but if necessity forced me to chose between the GTE and the R35 right now, the GTE would go and I'd pick up another V8 later. I tell you this though, I would fight bloody hard to hang onto both. Honestly hoping you can hold onto at least one of the Fords -AND- the GTR. Regards, Phil.
  21. I won't be there - not really my thing. More into sprints and similar events with less cars. You didn't happen to be at the Ford V Holden Grudge at Norwell did you?
  22. Hi mate, Yes, all paid up for Lakeside and very keen. I trying to do as many street sprints as work will allow this year. I'm a little bit scared to push too hard at Lakeside - too much Armco - but have been pushing pretty hard at QR sprint days. Looking forward to catching up soon. Wardski, send us a PM when there's something going on. Always looking for an excuse to take the GTR for a spin.
