It's well more than a couple of grand. Good thing I'm not paying for any of it. Everything's screwed in there. Boot won't close anymore too. I hope everything gets put back to the way it use to be . ie. no leaks, good gaps, etc etc.
-
lol!!! On a side note, I just got the quote back from my panel beater. There seems to be a lot of damage inside the boot . @ the quote... EGADS!!!!!
-
lol! Go BB I actually did. I won't post them though. Just doesn't "feel" right to do so. Damage on his car compared to mine was very little though.
-
Yep. Well I kinda said, "What the FU(K were you doing?" lol He mentioned something about a CD falling down. :\ Ah well, shit happens. I just wish my damned neck and back didn't hurt.

hey cool, we have a sadist amongst us...

Hmmm, just spoke to a guy at Shannons again asking about the cost of a hire car. Seeing as I wasn't at fault, I was thinking maybe it would be a no brainer for the other guy's insurance to cover it... apparently not so. Basically what he said was, I will have to put it in writing as to why I need a hire car, then Shannons will submit that to the other insurer and even then there's no guarantee that the other insurer will pay for the hire car. Fair enough. All good. I can handle that. Now, that wasn't exactly a pleasant phone call either... Despite the fact that I mentioned that I was just enquiring about it, and that I understand there's no coverage for a hire car in my policy, the person on the other end of the phone kinda sighed, then said, "there's no coverage for a hire car in your policy"....To which I had to respond to (nicely), "I understand that, that's why I mentioned it first... etc etc".... The first few phone calls that I had with Shannons were good. The people put me at ease. I felt like they were on my side (as they should...seeing as I wasn't at fault). But right now, I don't feel so comfortable... :\ ah wells. Maybe the guy I had on the phone was having a bad day. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Yep, those were the lights. I just got back from my panel beater's. He's taken photo's and written down all the damage and parts that need replacing, and he's going to go find prices now. If all goes well the car should be with him next week. He said it'd take maybe 2 weeks. I hope it only takes 2 weeks. I'm "working from home" today. Damn my neck and back hurt. :\ That would've really sucked. Hey man, true. I actually thought about doing that. But what happens if the boot cable breaks? It's impossible to get into the boot from the inside of the car with an r33. lol It'd look good though. I dunno. Me too. Can't wait till this is just a fading memory That's not good re: defects. Some bad karma going around on Sunday. Don't know why.

Very true. Just a case of wrong place, wrong time. What really shits me is that I didn't *need* to be there at that time. Ah well. I wish it was an exotic! Although if it was I think I would be crying right now. Nah, no more mods. Nothing owing on the car. Bought it outright, modded it when I could afford it. I'm an old bastard though compared to most on here. Although I look younger than nearly everyone....except doodz. lol ****EDIT: I'm a bit slow this morning... lol.

Yeah, kinda sucks alot. I seriously didn't think that could ever happen where it did. The road is a quiet 50km/h road.. very straight for atleast 100m before the traffic lights. It's not like you can't see the lights, you can see them from over 100m away... 9:30'ish on a Sunday morning... Lights were red. I had been waiting for a bit already. One car infront. I guess I was lucky with not hitting the car infront.
-
thanks guys. Yeah, it could've been worse. But hey, I could've just stayed in bed. I was just sitting at the lights waiting with the car infront. Minding my own business. *bang* Rear quater has a fold near where the fuel filler is. Rear quater is what concerns me the most...time wise.
-
Hey dude, I've spoken to Shannons, they took the details and said they'd have to forward it onto somebody and they'd call me back tomorrow.
-
What really sucks is that this car's not been in an acco before. Don't really have time for this. But I guess no one ever does. Shit happens aye.
-
Thanks man. Called and got the number. The only details that they said they could take down though were time, date, and location.
-
There's no doubt about who's at fault. I don't think that will be an issue. I wonder if the rear quater will be able to be fixed, or if it'll need replacement. There's a couple of noticeable folds under the petrol flap, and the bit near the tail-light is all flattened.
-
But don't I have to report it? I don't know anymore
-
Just called castle hill police. They advised that there's no need to report it... *shrugs* I dunno.
-
Yeah, we swapped details, I've even got a photo of his car... doesn't seem to be much damage at all on his. *sigh* Well, he can't not accept responsibility. T intersection... red light. I was sitting there waiting at the red light, with one car infront of me. *BANG* I might let the police know just so there's a report of some sort. I just feel so sick to the stomach when I think of how long the car will be waiting at the panel beaters for...

What a great start to a Sunday morning. Well, less than 5mins from my house, I was sitting at a set of traffic lights waiting patiently for them to turn green.... BANG.. wtf. (photo taken a few km's up the road..) How does one rear end someone on a quiet road, when there's no traffic around? HOW THE HELL DOES SUCH A THING HAPPEN!#%!! From what I can tell the damage is as follows: - both rear light brackets broken - rear bar bent.. duh - rear bar impact protection whatsit bent... duh - bootlid bent down and for the thing that really shits me - drivers rear quater bent and folded slightly I've notified my insurance company, do I ring the police too? What the hell guys, seriously, just what the hell... *sigh*

Hmmmm, one item only.... A J Custom Ibanez. They seem to keep the best ones jdm only. Anyone of these would do: http://www.ikebe-gakki.com/goods_detail.php?g_id=68016 http://www.ikebe-gakki.com/goods_detail.php?g_id=61120 http://www.ikebe-gakki.com/goods_detail.php?g_id=47941

http://www.japstyle.com.au They're based in Lansvale. Talk to Ken, say Wil from the forums with the white r33 told you about them. If they don't have anything in stock that you like, then they can keep an eye on the import auctions and import one for you. Just let them know what you want. He's pretty competitive price wise. It's also best to actually go and check the place out. They're open Sunday too. Just use the website to grab the contact details. Just remember though, whenever you're buying, get a mechanic to check EVERYTHING if you're going to buy something that they've already got in stock.

Maybe it was dark?

I'm pretty sure getting 350rwkW to the ground is pretty much impossible. You'll feel more G's in a 300awkW GTR. You'll also beat more ppl from a standing start too.

If the last one was anything to go by, this should be a good day.
