  6. fill to the bottom of the top bump on the dipstick and you'll be fine. (ie.. over fill your oil). I track mine, and that's how I do it.

  15. Nah not at the gardens.. LOL, although I pulled over quick. I used the ABS at that kiosk place (the 90 zone) with the dirt on the road... lol it's all good, no one was around.

  18. Does the ticking noise get quicker as the revs go up? Could be something as simple as a warped exhaust manifold...or some kind of exhaust leak between the engine and the manifold.
  19. ...or thereabouts Engine's still going strong too. Dropped 10rwkW at the last dyno day due to a dodgey thermostat and a blocked radiator (pfc retard maps @ 100degrees celcius... bah!). It's been back to normal for a while now. woohoo See you've got two options Craig (if the leak down and compression comes back aok), do what ECR and I did, or rebuild and end up with around about 220rwkW and an engine that can put out over 300rwkW if you add $6k to the $15k you would have already spent rebuilding the engine. 15k+6k = a straight 32 GTR that may need a rebuild within a year.... Lots of sums to do, lots of things to consider.

  21. There was a bit of a delay with my East Bear bonnet coming in. But believe me, the wait was well worth it. I remember it feeling like an eternity before I got my bonnet. Put it this way, the bonnet was ordered. Then while I was waiting I got a gt30r, injectors, and everything else... then I had everything installed... and then tuned... and then I got my car back... and then I forgot about the bonnet.... and then I remembered about it... and then I called up powerplay just to make sure everything was ok... and then I got a phone call one day advising it would be on it's way to me courtesy of toshy. I was one very happy customer as soon as I opened up that big old box. woohoo jap spec box! hehe The wait is worth it.

  24. ECR033 is right. I have similar power to him with standard internals, and I track my car. Your problems seem to be tune related, and this business about not fixing the exhaust manifold properly because you didn't have enough money seems really silly.... If you have enough money for a rebuild, you have enough money to fix the exhaust manifold. If it's warped, then it's leaking, and that'll cause you some issues. Just get a leakdown test and compression test done. If all's good spend the money on fixing up that exhaust manifold, buying a new turbo and getting it tuned properly. You should easily get to 250rwkW and not have any issues with the engine.
