  4. Interesting . Thanks for the insight dude. I recently took my car out onto Oran Park for it's first track outing and found that I was lapping as fast if not faster than some GTR's that were also on the track. I guess my car has been modified alot more than those GTR's that were lapping around the same times though. Which begs the question, if I had put as much into a GTR as I have put into my GTST would I have a much faster and more fun car to drive on the road and track. Prior to tracking my car I was regretting that I had spent as much as I had. But since taking her on the track I couldn't be more happy.
  5. I'll say it one more time, FEDERAL SS 595 "Just ask Theo Woollett about what they can do. His Skyline has just ran an Australian Record Time of 9.75s @151mph on the 255/40VR17 SS-595." Oh, and mine farken rock.
  6. I have a 4.5kg flywheel in my car. Positives: - engine revs easier - revs drop really quickly - less engine braking Negatives: - revs drop quickly between gear changes - need revs to get the car off the line - meh.. I like it.
  7. Cheers guys
  8. You sure, you've posted 2 gtst's there and both of them have a very different front bar to yours.
  9. Wow!! Dude, I have that connundrum. I've done all this stuff to my gtst, yet want a GTR. Then I was thinking, if I had a GTR though I would want to run that on the track instead. Then what would my gtst be used for? Hmmmmm.... Can you expand on your experience? Do you ever want to drive the GTR on the track instead of the GTST? Do you regret doing stuff to the GTST? etc.
  10. GTR... If you're buying a skyline you're going to want to upgrade bits and pieces yeah? The GTR will keep you happier longer. There's only so far you can go with the GTST, and then by the end of it you realise that with all the money spent you could've bought a decent GTR. I'm speaking from experience. Although, being where I am now, I wouldn't change a thing.
  11. ummm, sure dude? I haven't been anywhere but work and home. Plus my car NEVER ventures onto Epping road at night or outside of the hills at night. My car still has the oran park numbers on it too. So, you sure? Might have been that freakin S1 with chinese CF bonnet and impuls....
  12. Redline Lightweight Shockproof (smurfs blood) is great. Only really recommended for worn boxes though. Heard that someone with a rebuilt box had issues. I've got it in my car and it's brilliant. www.nismo.com.au (unique autosports) is where I got mine done too.
  13. Well, I spent all my money on the Oran Park day. Don't have any left for this one. In a few more months I'll be ready again .
  14. Tell them they're dreaming! $6,000,000 and I'd think about it....if it weren't so bloody far away.
  15. I'd buy it if it wasn't so bloody far away.
  16. congrats on finding a PFC where your standard ecu should be . Yep, get a touch up tune just to make sure everything is ok. With a PFC the check engine light generally flashes if the knock reads >60. I'm guessing it knocked a little when you floored it and put the engine under load a little. Just get a touch up dyno tune done .
  17. Maybe it only sounds like it's coming from the passenger footwell? Checked your exhaust manifold lately? Still got all the studs holding it on?
  18. Nankangs are absolute rubbish. Try them on the track. Pieces of f**king shit.
  19. spotted primordial 2 cars in front of me heading down Coonara Ave this morning. Were you trying to wave at me with your rear wiper? hehehehe
  20. Happy Birthday dude!
  21. ok, sorry, it's bugging me. Why are they necessary? What is it that they actually do apart from help locate the wheel on the hub prior to doing up the nuts? (sorry if it's a stupid question)
  22. damnit. Ah well. I guess they relieve stress on the "hub bolts"(??) or something yeah? thanks bb.
  23. Hey guys, As the topic says... Hub locators, are they necessary? I've got these annoying metal ones that tempe fitted to the car when I changed rims, and well, they're a pain in the arse to remove. Are they really needed?
