Great day.. great day. My first time spectating at a track day too. I tell ya, I'm now itching to get onto the track. So much so I think I have a rash Anyway here are a few of my shots. They're a bit soft. Wish I had a bigger lens... ...sif R31 abobob too many white skylines RB20 power! From both Amanda and I thanks to Benm and Oz for their support during the day. And thanks to Abobob for organising such a great day! (AGAIN!!) For someone that's basically only gotten her licence to drive, and only been driving a manual for 7months I reckon Amanda did bloody brilliantly!

hmmm... it was something about the oil and water lines (??) in the block that lead up to the head. It's all too confusing. So many ppl saying different things. I should just buy a GTR : or copy you Bu5ter but with a manual box hehe. white s2, big engine...I already have the big turbo... yeah, why not!

Now this will be a bit hard for me as I don't have the "vocab" needed but... A few things that were brought up at a workshop I go to were issues with oil and water?? Something about oil in an RB30 naturally wanting to stay up around the head and come down really slowly... etc etc, and this causing issues with reliability for prolonged use on a track (ie, not 400m sprints). They also mentioned that there is a way to rectify this, BUT for a track car they wouldn't recommend it. One of the mechanics at the place was actually in the process of building up an RB30 w/25 head. He said if all I want to do is do drag racing, then there's no problem, but he wouldn't use it on a hot day around a track. Is this all utter crap? (looking to gain knowledge here, not start fights)

I am yet to see anyone who is in the RB30 camp tell me exactly why it's better... As per one of my original posts. Yet every where I turn there's RB26 information thrown in my face. I know which I would be buying if I needed to (rb26), but that's only because I've spoken to several ppl on sau and several workshops that have nothing to do with sau that all tell me to go RB26 for the same or similar reasons as what R32R had mentioned before. By posting the information I posted earlier I was no way intending there to be a war between the camps. What I want is information from both sides as to why they're better. That's all. ...oh, I also think this sort of discussion would benefit moonie

now now, no need to get personal in moonie's thread. RB30 sux! lol

I have a stupid question. If you're bringing a second car full of tools and water etc. can you park it near the "track" car without any issues or will the oran park guys be fussy about it?
