  1. Hmm ah well, each to their own I guess Dark The dutch angle shot didn't originate with ricers. Started long before the term rice was even coined. Personally I like the dutch angle shot.
  2. Thanks for the kind words guys Canon 300d. Don't know where "ricer angle" came from. The angled shots are called "dutch angle" shots. Their intent is to add a kind of movement to the shot. Car might look a little ricey with the cf bonnet too. But the bonnet is actually functional. There's a big snail under there that gets kinda hot. The really angled shots are just things I thought I'd try. I'm bored with the straight shots.
  3. My girlfriend who is also on these forums just bought her first manual... R32 GTST. It's been a month now and she's pretty use to it. Doesn't stall at all. The first night we brought the car back I took her to an empty car park which had ramps and taught her how to "balance the car" with the clutch, which is the easiest way to show someone where the friction point is. A few arguments later and she had the basic jist of it. She's a little hard on the clutch, but hey, that's why I told her to buy a stock 32 gtst.
  4. no, with a camera
  5. Here's one of the photo's I took
  6. I tell ya, observation cruises put a lot of strain on relationships! It's all good now. But geez. I don't know how you people who organise these things can live with yourselves... *shakes head* *stares at abobob, duncan, and kel.........
  7. Yep, that was bwa's car.
  8. what you've circled there is the fuel pressure regulator. What lies behind that is your fuel rail and your injectors. fatz could be right.
  9. ...it's going, "tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick" at idle yeah?
  10. hyrdraulic lifters I reckon.... pinging/knock is only really audible when the engine's got a load on it, not at idle.
  11. welcome to the forums weapn
  12. can't remember. Use a test light and see which one lights when you push the door unlock switch. There is a thread somewhere.
  13. hehe, but the number plate covers don't fit on the back of a 32!
  14. Yeah, I noticed that when bwa got her car. I saw the plates and thought that something was wrong. Wasn't till we got the car home and next to mine that I realised that hers had this stupid black border around them, and they just look flimsy in comparison. Ah well... Can't do anything.
  15. Figured out who it was yet ranicx? Did your parents have anything to say?
  16. Drive into Canberra and it feels like the roads have been replaced with grippy glass, it's that smooth over there. I wonder why that is...
  17. ouch! Does insurance cover this sort of thing?
  18. love that TA22! I wonder what engine it had in it.
  19. it is awesome. damn awesome. I just wish I could put it on by myself. LOL I've already taken pics
  20. very cool. Thanks for the pics tosh! ...and thanks for the bonnet
  21. Oh, I think it was misread there Security. She's still learning to drive a manual. She's been driving manual for 2 weeks. She's not trying to drive fast on the road. She's learning how to shift, what gears to be in, etc. Not learning how to race. Some people like to learn how to drive a manual, before they try and drive their newly bought manual car on a track. She was an auto only driver before like some others, but she wanted to learn, and she's doing brilliantly. I just don't want her to take the car on a drag strip yet where she'll be encouraged to go fast and might end up destroying her gearbox or damaging her engine. 2 weeks into driving a manual is way too soon! It's not like an auto where all you do is put your foot down.
  22. Ah, ok, I see how you misread it. I only started to teach her how to drive manual 2 weeks ago when she bought her r32 gtst. So yeah, you don't learn how to drive manual on a drag strip. Oh, here's a quote of what she said,
  23. lol! Hey, you don't learn how to drive a manual on a drag strip. She'll race eventually. She's learning very quickly.
  24. ranicx, blur out the name of your street. There's only one way to take this letter. Ignore it. You haven't done anything wrong.
  25. Ridiculous. Just ridiculous.
