Yours isn't doing the weird crap mine was doing high up in the rev range too. Series 2 as well yeah? cause whoa... your car's got some power there. You made about 30rwkw more than my car with the same mods!! Same front mount too, and your intake temp is 10 degrees higher!!!!! hehehe My timing is stock @ 15degrees... How the? what the? LOL great result dude.
-
Your intake temp is kinda high. I guess that's cause it's sucking the hot under bonnet air.
-
What's the timing set at now by the way?? (how advanced is it from 15degrees)
-
HOLY S#!T stock ecu ay?!??@?@!?#!??! @#!$%!@%@^@$#~!#!@#! hehe Unbelievable result. *thumbs up wil..

Just wondering why you keep mentioning fwkw? front wheel kilowatts?
-
What do you have controlling the boost? (ebc?)

Easiest cold air box to get would be one from UAS. I fabricated my own out of sheet alluminium. Used a cardboard template, then cut the alluminium, bent it, etc etc etc... Took a whole day and some swearing I made another one after I had the front mount installed cause in the first one I made I had cut holes out for the stock intercooler plumbing which ran underneath the pod. I'm pretty sure everyone will say a K&N panel filter in the stock airbox is all you need to make power. Which is very true. But if you want the nice loud sucking noises, then a K&N pod is the way to go. I personally love induction noise (even on n/a cars) more than exhaust noise, so I bought a pod. How big is the pipe? Get under there and have a look. Is the pipe really thick/wide looking? It's easy to tell if you've got a 3" dump pipe too. The stock one is tiny, and has a heat shield on it. If you've got an aftermarket one there will be no heatshield and it will be the same size as your exhaust (if you have a cat back exhaust). Depends on who you go to. Check www.nismo.com.au for retail prices. UAS do good work too, and have a nice setup which justify their prices somewhat. Once you start, it just keeps on going. It's too easy to buy aftermarket parts for our cars, and it's waaaaaay too easy to make more power. wil..

Yeah, pretty much what everyone else said. With my 97 series 2 I've done (in order) so far: 1. 3"+ Cat back exhaust 2. POD (for the sound....yeah..i know...) 3. Electronic Boost Controller (profec B spec2) 4. 3" Front pipe 5. Cold air box 6. Front mount intercooler 7. Sealed cold airbox with cold air feed Currently at 184.2rwkw (Unique Autosports Dyno), but the curve gets weird up the top end. Did all that in the space of 4 months or so... eek. It's a disease I tell ya. The car already had tein adjustable coil overs, GTR front bar, and 18's. next up PFC wil..

Scary stuff DezertEagle. After I installed my fmic and put my car on the UAS dyno with 11psi I got a scare too, I only made 6kw more at the rear wheels than when i had it on the same dyno with the stock intercooler. A quick check of the timing and the base timing was out. They fixed it up quickly...Ran it again and boom 184.2rwkw! phew. hehe Damn that base timing scaring the crap out of us. LOL

You know I actually thought the same thing when I typed it out.. LOL but I thought meh it's all good. hehe
-
LOL!! it's stock. I was only hitting boost so I could get beside him before he turned left

Good Advice? or just nagging idiots?

I'm happy with my purchase. It gives me something to keep me occupied and keep my mind off of other things that get me down. You see, I bought the car as a replacement for my other car which was written off by a stupid P-plater. That accident actually happened during a really hard time. My long time girlfriend at the time and I were having big relationship problems, and had basically broken up. Then bam. My first car - A car that I loved, had worked on (modified), and owned for 7 years was written off. So within a week, I had lost my girlfriend, and a car that I had owned for 7 years. The whole debacle made me decide to f..everything and spend the money I had saved for an apartment for me and my (x)girlfriend and buy something for me. Something I had always wanted....a turbo rear wheel drive.... wil.. -
hehehe shhh you. Spot me already will ya hmmm I reckon it was actually third I was grabbing not second.

Spotted a silver R33 series 1 GTS-T w/ front mount in Wetherill Park on Sunday arvo. I flashed and waved, and got a confused look back. LOL. Also got reved at by a GLi Lancer w/ exhaust at a set of lights on the cumberland highway...He took off "hard", so I thought what the hell, and floored it. Put 4 car lengths on him by the time I grabbed second. Silly boy.... wil..

Yep, Advanced Cars PTY LTD. not sure if they're still around... wil..
-
I know Sam got >200rwkw w/ stock turbo, fmic, full 3" exhaust, and powerfc. wil..
-
iwannar34gtr can you post your dyno sheet? There is one thing I know, and that is the stock series 2 ecu will richen and automatically retard the timing when it see's it's getting more air than 7psi. How smooth is your curve. I've never seen an R33 series 2 with stock ECU and no piggy back computer/s make over 180rwkw without doing some weird stuff with the curve up high.
-
Advanced Cars I think it was...I'll check the plate in the morning (too dark atm) why?

Finally, here's a pic of the tyre placard. As you can see, it's clearly labelled Nissan Skyline, it is also very thick, and shimery. To me it looks and feels real. So to Police I'm sure it would look and feel real to them too. Besides, I don't see why it would be a fake. One thing though... I have 235/40r18 on 18x9's... The placcard suggests I should have bigger tyres?? If I did they would scrub... meh. All good. wil..

Run any more than 13psi and after awhile your turbo's exhaust wheel will come flying off and end up in your cat. If you're not going to get a proper ECU replacement (power FC or otherwise) then just get an SAFC or SAFC2. Just remember you can still destroy your engine really easily with the SAFC's.... (need to make sure you get it tuned properly). With an SAFC I'm pretty sure I could get my car tuned to make close to (but not that close to) 200rwkw on the UAS dyno. But why do things in halves? Personally I'm saving for a power fc. wil..

Hills District...about 20mins drive from Unique Autosports (hehe). I was driving to Wetherill Park to get fitted for a suit I've gotta wear at this wedding on Saturday.
-
nooooooo!! The one chance I had to be spotted in the flesh (on the road) by Moanie too, and I was driving towards wetherill park in traffic on the cumberland highway Again not getting spotted!! hehe wil..

I made 184rwkw with - FMIC - Full 3" exhaust from turbo back - stock cat - pod in cold air box, with cold air feed - ebc set to 11psi - stock ecu But if you look at the curve the stock ecu is doing the whole rich and retard thing high up in the rev range. wil..
