  1. Cheers SK I'll definently not be getting a piggy back computer. Will be going the power FC route like Sam and many others. wil..
  2. I highly recommend unique autosports too. I recently had my car up on their dyno (had just installed a front mount intercooler). It didn't make as much power as it should've so they tried to diagnose and fix the problem. They did check out the thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=51971
  3. hehe what jay said
  4. ahh but you've got an safc
  5. it is... the ecu is retarding the timing, then bringing it back up again. wil..
  6. hehehe, wasn't me that time I swear!!! wil..
  7. Yep dude Been working here since 2000...wayyyy tooo long but hey it's a 15min drive from home. wil..
  8. hehe.. YAY I've been spotted! Yep dude , the 33 GTR with the nismo stickers is owned by a guy that works in the same area as me but in a different team. He drives like a maniac!!!!! wil..
  9. hehehe, evil!!!! Yep, seems like it's encouraging me to spend money on my car instead of nonessential stuff like...food, etc LOL wil..
  10. Hard to tell....... Do a dyno run where they chart your psi. I know of another that runs a bleed valve, and the boost runs up smoothly, then falls off significantly higher in the rev range (ie. doesn't peak, and hold... the ebc's tend to peak and hold if set properly, or like mine, spike right at the start then hold. LOL).
  11. The dips in my power line are due to the stock ECU going, "Hmmm, there's a lot more air than normal, oh s#!t, time to retard the timing...wait...things are ok, advance the timing...oh s#!t, retard again....etc etc etc" I'm guessing you're either running an after market computer, or piggy backs. You'd never make 249rwkw with the stock computer, nor would the power line be a nice curve. I'm assuming your turbo is high flowed too, or you have some schmick bigger turbo in there. hehehe...cause if you don't, i wanna run my car on the dyno you ran yours on! LOL wil..
  12. Heya B-man, Nup no SAFC. Just the stock ECU, full exhaust (except w/ stock cat), pod in cold air box w/ cold air feed, and the profec b2. I will eventually get a PFC. I just need to wait for next months pay packet. So within 2 months and I'll be cheering even more so wil..
  13. There's no torque line there at all dude. The first graph shows AFR's, the second graph shows PSI. Have a look again. The blue lines are the new ones (w/ intercooler), the red lines are the old ones (from the run without the intercooler). wil..
  14. What's your problem dude? I'm pretty sure B-man knows how to cool down his car. He'd have to. It made over 300rwkw at the last skylines australia dyno day. All B-man said was to either get a better turbo timer, or learn to cool it down, and that in his opinion they're a waste of time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. wil..
  15. Holy crap you did too!!!
  16. Greddy Profec B Spec 2 ebc..... It's hard to dial in. It keeps it flat despite the little bumps. I just need some dyno time to "tune" the ebc I guess.
  17. LOL!! Check out this thread dude: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=45218 There's lots of info there. wil..
  18. My old car was a 1990 Honda Integra (non vtec) but with cams, exhaust, etc...(no bodykit, just lowered with big sticky rubber). It popped and crackled louder than any car I've ever driven. I owned that car for 7 years, drove it every day and not once did I get pulled over by the cops because it was popping and crakling on the overrun. I did get pulled over once for doing 70+km/h WOT around a really tight corner though. I was let off with a warning. The policeman said he heard me coming. no defect. If you drive stupid, and act like a smartarse you'll get done. Drive normally, and treat cops with respect and you'll be fine. RE: "...will the pop sound come out with flame?" If you get rid of your catalytic converter or gut it you'll get flames. The fine for having no cat though is $10,000 last I heard. wil..
  19. To be honest I actually haven't "felt" the dip yet! LOL I guess I'm not going fast enough wil..
  20. Spotted BY BY and owner at UAS today. Also spotted my car on the UAS dyno hehe Also spotted a white R33 GTR on Gilbert Road today. I waved and flashed, he waved, I forgot to look at the number plates..LOL. And, I saw a grey R33 GTS-T with lots of passengers boosting past UAS as I was about to turn. I flashed and waved, the driver ignored, but hey, one of the passengers waved! wil..
  21. First up Unique Autosports is cool. Took the car to them today to do a dyno run, and encountered some problems (weird curve) and not much power gain. Anyway, out came the console (sp?) and timing gun, which revealed that the base timing was retarded,...so they advanced it. The car was then run up again, and there was a significant increase in the power throughout the rev range. Whoo! Cheers UAS!! The last time the car was run on the UAS dyno it managed 166.9rwkw @10psi. Today it made 184.2rwkw @ 11psi with the new hybrid FMIC. (The red lines are from the last run, blue's new.) I can definently feel it in the seat of the pants dyno too! Put it this way, I just got home 30mins ago from a quick drive and I'm still smiling. There's some weird stuff going on high in the rev range still. A power FC will fix all that up, and should net me...ummm...lets hope for 200+rwkw. (dyno sheets attached AFR, and PSI) wil..
  22. Hey there, Here are the photo's. 1. From inside the engine bay. You'll recognise the huge water bottle. 2. This is the other side of that hole. Drill from this side. 3. This is underneath the intercooler. Don't worry those little metal brackets aren't actually holding the intercooler up. They're holding it in place. The top of the intercooler is actually bolted onto the front bar support. This support does need to be trimmed (I forgot to mention this earlier). It's also a little bit thick. So it's a pain. But if you've got the right tools you'll be fine. wil..
  23. That looks very similar to the Hybrid kit.. Takes a few hours to install. The hardest bits are getting the front bar off, and putting it back on, and trimming the fan. wil..
  24. I'm guessing you're looking at a Hybrid kit. There's only one hole you need to cut. Where you will be cutting is not a "structural" part of the car. A big hole saw will cut through it easily. Depending on the one you get you might need to trim your fan. You'll also need to trim your front bar. That's about it (if it's a Hybrid kit). I can post pics of the hole when i get home from work if you like. wil..
  25. How's your current turbo doing dude? If it's on its way out, easy get the bigger turbo. Use the SAFC to lean things out. Then get the Power FC. If not, I dunno. Personally I think I'd get the computer first.
