  1. +1 on the Project Mu HC+. Have been using them in my S14 for 5 years now and never looked back. I would probably recommend Type NS, or B-Spec for street driving though... HC+ is more suited to people who do regular track days, and can turn standard calipers into something very special (they are very closely related to the PMU motorsport pads we use in V8 Supercars, JGTC, Porsche Cup, Nascar etc.)
  2. If going down this path i would also highly recommend : + *ps. both mods are gay, you drive a V35 not a hyundai. I'm guessing you have the base spec brakes, so if you are wanting to dress them up i would recommend powdercoating them, and maybe adding a sticker. that said... see the other thread about brakes in here : akebono brakes from the v36 are cheaper and better than the brembos from the V35.
  3. if anyone is wanting to the V36 brake upgrade, there are tonnes of them for sale on myG37.com... around AU$1500 which is VERY cheap, considering they are bigger than R34 GTR Brembos http://myg37.com/forums/brakes-353/
  4. I might be keen PM me a price. are you using the factory buttons from the US spec wheels?
  5. Hey guys, just ordered a badge from the states for my second grill and they sent me the wrong one, if anyone wants it PM me. Just want $45 delivered (i paid $65 for it from a US Infiniti Dealer) (it's for a V36 Sedan, not a coupe!)
  6. Car is finally running with the bags, will get a video up today. A few teething problems so will need to keep working on it tonight, but overall i'm pretty happy with the result. pros: - looks - adjustable - controls & guages work well - speed (very fast) cons: - Slightly softer than the RS-R springs - Install is a BIG job - Compressors are noisy + needs to re-gas almost every use. - only lasts 2 full car up/down before running out of gas
  7. We are just putting the final wiring in over the next 4 hours, then it should be good to go... will get more photos up when it's done! video of front range (on hoist): http://vimeo.com/13048408
  8. 20's are fine. Yes they are easily available. i went for a 20X9.5 +15 front 20X10.5 +18 rear on my coupe, which is *very* aggressive offset. widths, sizing, and offset is all dependant on how you want the car to sit. IMO the "stance" (offset & widths) is just as important as actual wheel design choice. check out http://www.rimtuck.com and searching for a infiniti g37 sedan for some sizing / pics.
  9. They are around $3,500 landed after all the taxes, duty and freight charges... The auto-levelling systems are around $1300 on top but they aren't that necessary (i didn't get one).
  10. Hey guys, As part of the americanizing of my V36, i decided to "rebadge" my brakes back to their actual brand (akebono). I made them using high quality MaCal pro9800 Vinyl, and did them dual layer to cover the nissan badge, and designed them cut "opposite" so that the letters wont ever come off with a high pressure hose or anything. I did them in silver & gunmetal, to look classy not ricer. They came out great i think, will offset my new wheels great! (when they arrive! gotta love wait times on jap wheels ) i have a couple of sets left, if you wanted them i put them in my store : http://store.hardtuned.net
  11. Hey guys, well i have finally unpacked my UAS Airbag kit from the states and we have started work on figuring out how it all comes together. First off, i will say the G37 kit is VERY comprehensive... it's come with everything, even including the power extension wires, air filters, even the wire cutting tools needed to do the job. According to UAS it's pretty much plug and play, so last night / this morning we set off to start doing it ! looking at the setup the first place was to determine where to place the switchbox, and AirBag Guage LCD, luckily the flip down sunglass holder next to the sun visors is the perfect size, so we have installed it in there.... The LCD Display from dakota digital was finished nicely in brushed alloy, however it was just a little too big to fit where we wanted it, so we have actually dis-assembled the LCD box, and have decided to mount it directly into the metal trim panel to the right of the steering column, to give it a flush look. will give more updates later today as it heads along.... PS. I have some RS-R Springs that i dont need anymore... AWESOME improvement to stock V36 handling.
  12. ^^ you have divert turned on (in the car) ... go to the phone menu, and (i think it is 2-3 options down "on/off" toggle)
  13. almost finished the full PDF of translations (with japanese & american screenshots) will update everyone when i have finished them!
  14. From what i have read in a few places, the short ram air kits do nothing / actually lose you horsepower. the stillen gen 3 long tube is the only one to go for, that said for $600 landed it's an expensive 15hp.
  15. this is the photoshop mockup of the plan i have for mine... full jun-bl system with custom rear pipes, and custom diffuser... (probably not going to keep that centre bit though) i was planning to go fujitsubo, but those rears are a bit naff (they look smaller than standard??)
  16. ^^ IMO car branded merchandise is defined by the people who ware it : HSV Merch is bogan cause it's usually VB>VN owners that wear it, and they usually come from bogan suburbs. I guess if your ashamed of being put in a class of people that drive 32,33,34,35 GTR's, then maybe it's time for a new car? Personally.... unless i'm dressing up or going out, i'm not going to deny i'm a car enthusiast and i like to wear something with my car on it. Anyway... we have sold 350 so far...... so cheers for the support guys! PS: Pre Orders end 13th June, so if you want one i would get in before then (i'm not going to be printing much excess) -loz http://store.hardtuned.net/
  17. it connects to the stereo & charges the phone. unfortunately iphone isn't popular in japan supposedly so they haven't made a cable for them
  18. does your plug look like this :
  19. there is an ipod cable for v36? ( i know americans got one, but jap spec models dont have a cable available i thought?)
  20. ummm... let me find out... about to go for a drive will be back in a couple hours and note down the steps i took.
  21. I refitted my HID's myself ... took around 2 hours to work it all out.. easiest way is jack it up, take the wheel off, take the inner splash guard off, connect the HID's to the existing ballasts, done! If your importer was nice he will make it easy to revert it back! Aussie standard H1's are CRAP honestly there is no comparison i could barely drive at night with the shit that the HID's were replaced with! oh, and if your thinking of changing the fog lights... good luck! they are an absolute BITCH to get to! most pain in the pass job ever!!!
  22. eBay US has the best selection.
