  3. hahahaha...thats what I want to hear has anyone here fitted an S-AFC to their gtr....if so what was the performance gain like? surely an S-AFC and adjustable cam gears would give some wicked mid range? Silver-Arrows: have you got any other mods like Cam gears? EDIT: with the sort of power you'd be making with these sorts of mods...would the ceramic wheels in the turbos be a problem? (last long?)....keep in mind only running 1bar.

  5. yeh brakes will be a bit of a worry :) also..was there much difference in performance from 1bar/stock ecu to 1bar/powerfc?
  6. the b4 has a better power to weight ratio than the my01/02 wrx....so a subaru dealer told me. as for the stageas...i think your in for a wait. there are a couple of 260rs's in the country at the moment, but they are unregistered and undergoing testing. as for the STi B4, its otherwise known as the "Legacy S401..enjoy http://www.subaru-sti.co.jp/s401/index.html just click on enter and be sure u have FLASH!!!!

Silver-Arrows: what kind of performance gains did you get?....the suspension has already been done by the way. the mods i listed were only the mods associated with the power of the car. how much would a power fc set me back....but just the FC....not hand controller...perhaps i will consider it but i dunno..have to see. an additional odd $700 seems alot for just the fc.....what are the benefits of the fc? either way...im definately going to get the cam gears

  9. id go the B4 man but it depends what YOU want...not us id go it because we've had STi's before as well as had an evo for a few days........the B4 is a nice big car...leather interior, good sound system.....all the goodies but if you didnt need the car right away.....id be hanging out for the Twin Turbo Six STi B4...out in 2005 Edit: add an r33 autech 4 door GTR to that list too
  10. yeh I have cam gears in mind, and I might go with the cam gears and the S-AFC. I do realise that the power fc is much better because you can adjust fuel as well as ignition, but i simply do not have the funds. What sorta power increase would we be looking at?
  11. Hey all, As topic says, what do you think should be next. Budget currently is about $800. Mods now are a turbo back exhaust, avc-r boost controller and k&n pods. I was thinking an S-AFC for around $512 from nengun delivered. If i did this how much more power could I expect? Thanks
  12. hippy: yeh that would be my advice aswell.....although if that fails try taking it to a suspension specialist and see what they have to say about it.....but yeh, a smash repairer would be the first place i would visit. hope you get i sorted man.....keep us informed

  14. if u get a wheel alignment done front and back before you buy the car they can tell there and then if the car is bent! this is what i was told anyways....and ours checked out alright btw...you dont want a car with a bent chassis, it will handle like shit and when you brake, the car will pull to one side....you can also tell if the car turns better in one direction than another. also...check the subframes which hold the suspension, this can also cause the problems listed above... hope this helps in some way
  15. i heard if u have the g sensor with the RSM it can be really accurate.....but as u said....it depends on surface etc

  18. yeh very true guess I'll have to do it some time im just wonderin why the exhaust didnt have a cat in it to start with, because i thought the N1 exhausts had different sections, like cat back, front pipes etc i just went and had a look and its just one full piece, theres no weld marks or anything for where the cat should be :eek: wierd
  19. hahah Im bored aswell just say if I was to be pulled over, couldnt I use it against them? Just say if I were to argue that it had passed the pits 3 times and that nothing was said. My old man reckons leave it and just fight em if it does happen......hmmm As for the other stuff....I should get off my arse and get some permits

  22. simple.......it came with the car another quick question.....the car has no cat.....now i've heard off a few people that its illegal NOT to have one, and that you can get upto a 10k fine!! now the weird thing is that the car has passed the pits 3 times, and they didnt say anything about it :confused: you rekon if I went back for the permits that they'd pick it up and that they would sticker the car until the cat is sorted? hmmm
  23. what exactly do you need a permit for? :confused: the car has been lowered, has pod filters, n1 exhaust, 17s, boost controller and turbo timer (just heard these are illegal, this true?) its a bummer u cant get a permit for the zorst

  25. Hey all, This may have been covered before but what do you have to do to get permits for mods? Do you have to make up some bullshit reason why you have the mods or what? Just curious as I don't want cops giving me a defect for stupid reasons. Anyone? :burnout:
