  1. Give Redline Shockproof gearbox oil a go too....its expensive (about $120) but is the best oil I've used in my car. Can't go past it IMHO.
  2. Better get it tuned for our shit house fuel hahaha. I've heard even BP Ultimate (teh superior shizat available here) can be very "inconsistant" so to speak.

  4. I was told they were same same. But even so, if they needed to be "modified" to fit, I'm sure it would be minimal. They look the same... But yeah, how is the price difference eh? :confused: Better start that thread though just to be 100% sure. I will find out on Monday if my 33 R pump will fit. I'll keep you posted

  7. Paul, I had the injectors serviced before I had them fitted so maybe it is the new seals that they fitted? I'll look into it! Cheers!
  8. Power FC was fitted new with default setting when the Injectors and AFMs went in. Like I said though, even with the IGN map set to 15deg at idle, it will sometimes sit on 20, 15 or fluctuate to whatever it feels like. Shouldnt the FC follow whats on the map and not have a mind of its own? It wouldnt have other maps from a previous tune in it seeing as it is new, but yeah I agree with you. Something in the settings must be causing it to fluctuate like this When the IGN timing is stable, say at 15deg where its supposed to be, then the revvs are fine. It does not hunt. It just seems to have a mind of its own as it only occasionally does this.

  15. Hello everyone, Just thought I would post this on here because I cannot seem to find out why, at idle, my car's RPM will jump up and down like a nutcase. Basically sounds like it has rotational idle at times but it doesn't..... Basically, what is happening is that when at idle, I have noticed in the "Monitor" function that the ignition timing will jump around. Say from 20, to 0, to 15, to 2, to 5, to 20 etc. This seems to be what is causing the "hunting" RPM. Even though the settings on the IGN map says to sit at 15 at idle. Most of the time it will sit at 20....or jump around. What the **** is going on as myself, a local tuner over here as well as another workshop cannot figure out what is wrong. The car has not had a full tune as of yet, but the maps have just been cleaned up to suit larger nismo injectors as well as 80mm AFMs. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  16. Try giving it a clean just in case its a bit dirty. Go and pick up some electronic contact cleaner from Dick Smith or somewhere like that. This cleans the afm and does not leave any residue on the wire. Usually fixes most issues. Costs about $15 a can. All the best
  17. Get the R33 pump. Only two days ago I was quoted $485 for a "genuine R32 R" water pump. I picked an R33 GTR one up brand new the next day for $170. They have different part numbers but they do fit....

  19. It's a bit hard to give you a ball park figure if you dont want labour costs included. They are the killer...... I was speaking to two well known reputable people today and the general rule is to budget for about 8k drive in and drive out. Depends on spec but yeah. It's around there.
  20. Nengun / Greenline will be the cheapest you will find (new). If that is too much then try and source yourself a second hand FC, but even then, they wont be all that much cheaper.
  21. $600 - $700 to get the Power FC AND get it tuned?? Is that what you just said? A Power FC will cost $1,150 minimum and at least a few hundred for tuning. I'm assuming that "$600 - $700" figure was just for tuning....?
