transfer case is driven by a chain belt off the output shaft of the box, you will find that you can remove the transfer case and put a plate over the output iirc. the gearset in the 25 box is the same as what is in the z32 ect and is one of nissans better gearsets,

oh, heh you think you got worries driving a skyline with a exhaust to the track.... lol i used to drive this to the track with 6 tyres in the back seat and usually 2 stacked in the front seat....

not a real modded car........ but it is daily driven. your saying that by going to the track all the time to race my car, drift my car, ect i am drawing attention to myself? ffs every time i back outta my garage where im living right now half the f**king town hears about it. as for real cars drive to the track darren appleton drove drf13 to the track every drift meet, 180go won the high tech shootout at qr and got driven to and from the track. been to a drift event lately? only a handfull of cars are towed there champ. you can either sit there with ya dick tucked between your legs where its nice and safe and be terrified of the cops or you can man up get ya wang out and go to the track and prove to yaself and others what ya car can do

bahaha 93 with 100k on the clock? yer mabey if ya speedo has been wound back, try 200 thou has it been thrashed? every klm from the day i got it. is it modified? most people know whats done to it, sure is modded been to track days? shitloads, drove to morgan park, a good couple of hundred ks away from the coast, thrashed the car all day long in the heat, helped slip change his waterpump on his 31 drove home again and drove to work the next day. door to door racing? a well known driver throwing his car sideways behind you because he ran outta brakes and is about to ram the back of my car close enough for ya? ive been for a casual cruise and smashed my clutch and had to drive the car home in 3rd yet ive been to a track day and spent the day belting round the circuit with other cars with the aircon on and the radio going. been through 3 gearboxes, 2 diffs, 3 turbos, an intercooler. im not rich, nor am i even well off, im just a lowly tradesman but god f**king damn have i enjoyed owning a skyline. essentially what im saying is you can have a daily drive and thrash the crap outta it. if you learn how to maintain your car and repair it yourself its gonna cost you less. Sitting there and being scared of taking your car to the track and enjoying its true potential is not only a waste of a car, but your robbing yourself of the pleasure of truly enjoying one of nissans greatest creations, GTR or otherwise. seriesII you might be able to thump a v8 commodore on the street but when youve beaten a 100k gto round a race track lap after lap, then you truly know what your car is capable of. dont want the fines? dont mod the car, or better yet, dont own one. if your not prepared to take the good with the bad with owning a particular type of car (steriotypes ect) then put it up for sale. But again, your robbing yourself of the joy and experience because your afraid of the boys in blue, They win, you loose either way. For the record, cops have been hounding import owners since they hit the streets of aus. enjoy your car any way you choose to, but dont rob yourself of the experience that your car has the potential to give you.

ive used mercury before, one of their tuners touched up my wolf tune in the past. he also gave me good advice regarding coilpacks ect and that advice was spot on. azzura has been bitching that he got f**ked in the arse by mercury for years without really elaborating. tbh if he didnt sort his shit out with the workshop himself then its his own fault. when i had issues with gavin woods (and i was f**king pissed at the time) i spoke to him and he cleared everything up. you will also find they are one of the few workshops in brisbane that will tune a wolf.

there are stories of cars being shot at out that way so do be careful who you start to fire up. there are a lot of wierdos living out that way as well as bikers who are more than happy to put a few boot dints in your panels... amongst other things i have seen out that way, a naked person walking along the side of the road at night.... so just be careful out there people do some strange things when they are angry or frustrated, i have had rocks thrown at my car and i have the dints in my paintwork to prove it. like i have said tho, there is supposed to be security guards contracted to patrol the hinze dam area and there was talk of the gates being closed off on the road after hours (ie no road access)
-
the goldcoast city council has beefed up security on the dams including late night patrols and locking of the gates due to terroist fears and dickheads going out there late at night for whatever reason.
-
thats an understatement. its a beautiful 32. ive known both owners and they both looked after the car well. good to see your still round callen, sad you gotta sell it but the time to move on always comes around

Best Person/workshop To Work On Gearbox Of Gtr32....
BelGarion replied to J-Boy's topic in Queensland
it would appear that there are 2 of them with the same name but it does not appear that they are linked. i took my last 33 gtst box to them for apull down and inspection on the coast here, but decided to go for a 2nd hand box with a warranty, only trouble is, just outside of 12 months this one has let go as well. but yes i did think it was strange they were on the coast with a name like gabba gearboxes http://www.gabbagearboxes.com.au/ -

well if your actually after someone to rebuild your gearbox, or at the very least give you advice on its condition. get hold of gabba gearboxes in ashmore on the goldcoast. they have been recomended by a few workshops. -
Anyone Recomend Auto Electrician On The Gold Coast?
BelGarion replied to shnaped_second's topic in Queensland
have a search through the forums there is a way to test your coilpacks with a multimeter. another way to do it is get 6 fresh copper plugs, put em in, run it hard, then pull them out 1 by 1, see which one is not black (worked for me) or thirdly, get hold of someone you knwo who has working coilpacks and swap a working one in 1 by 1 and see if you can find the culprit (worked on my silvia) failing that good luck finding a auto leccy worth speakin to about imports, i had no luck and ended up doing the wiring for my silvia on my own. -
*yawn* try a decent mt road or take it to the track milton being reamed by cops is old news. you dont want arse poundage, dont go out on a thursday night.
