Haha, my car did the exact same thing for ages. It could be the indicator relay playing up. Mine stopped doing it all of a sudden and hasnt started. I also noticed smoke twice. Once after we had the steering column apart. All good now though.

Hi, I am planning to install a boost gauge and boost controller this weekend and I need some quick advice. The boost controller is a manual bleed type and I know that it goes between the inlet pipe and the wastegate actuator. I think that is correct?? The boost gauge is a mechanical type and has hose and a t-piece. What I need to know is where to put it and if it goes on the same spot as the boost controller does it go before or after the boost controller?? I am not sure and I dont want to stuff anything up. Also is 10psi safe on a standard motor. It has a full 3 inch exhaust/cat and a pod. Standard intercooler. My boost gauge like most reads in bar. Where abouts is 10psi? Cheers.

Hi, I have installed a Nismo GTR cat on my car, an R33 GTSt. However when I installed the oxy sensor on the my origanal cat was at the bottom on the lhd side and on the GTR cat the oxy sensor was on the bottom rhd side. So I installed it with the oxy sensor on the top left side. The cable was a bit long so I think it is sitting close to the cat. The problem is after a week a light is coming on on the dash when I am driving, it flashes and goes on off then stays on when I have been running for a while. The outline of the light looks like a cat with lines coming off the top of it. What does this mean?? Is my cat getting to hot?? Should I install the cat with the oxy sensor on the bottom?? If I did it that way I think the cable of the sensor would be running across the top of the cat to get to sensor hole. Or could exhaust be leaking from the cat somewhere??? Please help!!! Thanks. Hey, yeh its not that, it ticks as soon as the ignition is switched on!! Only sometimes stops. Very annoying.

Hi, I am chasing the plastic that sits under the cd player, one screw cover on the hand grips above the door(on the roof). Also the part under the dash that makes the ticking noise for the indicators, mine is ticking almost non-stop and I figure that its shorting out. I think its a cylinder shape. Also the nissan badge for the boot lid. I am in Vic but willing to pay post from anywhere is Aus. Thanks. Darren.

Hey there is some pics of my car in a thread of mine, its a R33 GTST Type M Series 1 with a GTR rear wing. I am thinking of pulling it off and putting on a lip spoiler instead, to hard to see out the window.

Well after owning my Skyline for two weeks its already off the road and Im not happy. The clutch is dead I think, was driving along and the motor was revving out real far in every gear so I turned around to get it home and I couldnt get to the speed limit so I was cruising at 20km in a 100km speed zone then turned off to go a down a quieter street and I starting losing all speed, I had to get it towed home at 12.00am. I am nearly 100% sure it is the clutch. My mechanic has the car atm but hasnt had a chance to rip the box out. Now does anyone know if you can get clutchs rebuilt as my car has an Exedy 450 horse power puck clutch so it shouldnt have failed?? , however I dont know how long ago it was fitted. I think my mechanic has ordered a clutch, I know he deals in Daiken/Exedy. I dont even know what type of clutch he ordered but he said the catologe said it suited 88-96 model Skylines. Also another question, on the wastegate actuator it has two 5mm? hose's coming off it, my problem is that the bottom one of mine has been cut and whats left has been zip tied to the top one. Does anyone know where the other end of the hose goes to?? As I went to install a turbosmart boost controller but I cant until I can find the other end of the hose. My car is also running around 4psi, could this be the problem?? It has a trust exhuast from the turbo back and an apexi pod filter, could they cause the pressure drop?? Or could it be the wastegate or bov leaking?? It had on it before I bought it an HKS SS BOV so maybe I need to check all the vac hose's. Please help, I am getting sick of my car already. I have barely driven it in 2 weeks.

I have only recently purchased my 1993 Skyline GTS-t and I am having problems with the power steering. If I have been driving it for a bit, more than say 1/2 hour when I switch it off and then switch it back on after only a few minutes the HICAS light comes on and I dont have power steering and the light stays on. It doesnt come on at all when I am driving only when I switch the car off then on again a short time later. The power steering pump was replaced before I got the car. Yesterday I was idling for about 10-15 mins waiting and my gf's bro is asked why and I told him and we switched it off then on and again I had no power steering but it was ok when I was idling. Its starting to annoy me. I havent done the HICAS diagnostic check yet as I havent printed it off, also if I did this check would I have to wait until I lost the power steering for it to check all the sensors, etc. Or will it pick up a faulty one that is most likely causing this problem any way?? Any help much appreciated.

Yes, if you have an unlisted mod they will refuse to payout. I got the whole spiel when I signed up with Just Cars yesterday.

Hi, I got my car regoed today and man did it take ages, the girl was inspecting it and she goes not much room in the engine bay, your airconditioning takes up a lot of room, I didnt have the heart to tell her that was a turbo she was looking at, then she couldnt find the engine number, 15mins later someone came out from outside to help her, she said it was good it wasnt modified, I laughed to myself looking at adjustable suspension, pod filter, big exhaust, mag wheels. Then she asked if it was a 2003 model, I was like err no, its a 1993. with stamp duty, appointment fee, slimline plates and rego it cost me $1113. My car has nismo adjustable suspension(r33 gtst) and it has the numbers 1-4 on the top off the strut along with like a phillips screw to adjust and I was wondering does anyone know if they adjust height or what?? I can post a photo if it will help when I can get one. It also has an Excedy puck clutch in it that handles up to 450hp, does anyone know what they are worth?? Cheers. Dazz

I rang Just Cars again as I the quote ran out as I didnt find a car within that time frame and I got a new qoute today and stated I had mags on the car and guess what...its heaps cheaper than my first qoute, so well under 2 thousand dollars, arent i lucky!!!!! I will be going with Just Cars as they are very helpfull.

I plan to put a fmic on it soon so I will need to get a boost controller, etc so it will need a tune to maximise everything. Thanks 95GTST, I was thinking of going to the Casterton drags but I am not sure yet, see how the weekend unfolds. I will definately be taking the car to the drags, we have an 1/8 mile in Warrnambool but I would rather go over the proper 1/4 to get a proper time.

Ha, opps, will fix it up now you have pointed that out. I think trying to find that Nissan badge might be hard as I have noticed a lot of Skylines missing it.

Hi all, I have finally purchased a car I have wanted for a few years: R33 Skyline!! Its an R33 GTS-t Type M Series 1. It has the type M body kit with the factory optioned GTR wing, I think they are GTR skirts?? I am not sure. The car has the following mods: Nismo sports suspension, Nismo fuel regulator, GTR fuel pump, Apexi pod filter, HKS SS B.O.V(not fitted), Turbo back Trust pwr evo II exhaust, Greddy turbo timer. Japanese 17" rims, Tinted windows, Suspected heavy duty clutch. HKS start button. I havent got the car yet but I have already purchased for it Nismo clear side indicators and a Nismo grill. The car needs the front bar repaired/resprayed as well but its not that big a deal as my girlfriends brother is a very good panel beater/spray painter, I think we are going to re-spray the front/back bumpers and the side skirts. The wheels have a few gutter scratchers so I will get them repaired. I am very pleased with it. I have some photos but the car is dirty so they arent to good. I just have to learn how to drive it good and how it reacts different circumstances, wet weather, etc. Can anyone tell me how to clean the headlights good to get rid of that murky look or do I need to buy new ones?
