    Yeah it's a sr20det I got a price from KYP for another sr20 they want 1600 for a running one so with that is it still cheaper to buy another one or just rebuilt the bottom end of this one I have found some rebuild kits for around 700 to 1000 so I'm leaning to the rebuild idea

    hi guys my dad has just bought a 180sx. it has a bottom end knock and we are going to rebuild it, nothing crazy just a reliable motor. I was wondering what we should do, should we buy a new aftermarket bottom end or just replace it with a second hand crank rods and pistons and how much a new bottom end would cost and good brands to get them from thanks.

    I just thought I'd start something where people can say all the dumb stuff they have found with there cars. When I was rebuilding my car I found the turbo was only held on by one bolt which is always good and they gearbox was put on twisted obviously done by a professional.

    I'm having the same problem with my gtst it only happens when in trying to stay at a certain speed and jerks like crazy I tried adjusting the accelerator cable but it didn't help

    Yeah suede I'm not sure about the law on non padded centres and I bet it's different in each state

    I just bought a Omp one off ebay for 95 dollars looks good and is pretty strong and feels good it's like a fuzzy material

    I did think about that but apparently a nissan changed a shit load between the GTR and gtst and it's as hard as the 25 swap so u suck nissan

    That's exactly what the guy I talked to said you could spend all your money on a swap or save for a GTR lol

    I went and talked to some people today to see what it would cost to get the swap done and I was told around 5 grand. So I would be cheeper to do it myself but what the guy said is if I messed up or got stuck and took it to a place to fix it would cost more because they would have to go over all the work and find what's wrong, so save up and do the swap or sink that money into the motor already in the car talk about too many options

    I have seen that green r32 on youtube it's a nice car I watch it do a 1/4 mile I think it ran a 11 something I actually think I saw it on gumtree for sale maybe

    Woops I meant when using the 20 loom do you need to change any wires to use r33 ecu

    So what you saying is you kept all the 20 wiring and used the 33 ecu do you have to change and wires

    I'm just weighing up my options rb25 swap or go rb26. I Thought the rb26 swap would be simpler because the rb26 would be from a r32 GTR but it seems that nissan changed a lot with the gtst and GTR and I rebuilt this car from ground up and had the rewire it all by myself so I think I could figure it out lol

    hi guys I couldn't find much on the internet so I thought id ask. if I were to get a rb26 from a r32 gtr halfcut could I use the rb20 engine loom and ecu or would I have to change that and if I had to change it would the r32 gtr engine loom plug in to the r32 gtst dash harness. and how would I make the rb26 rwd. thanks

    Did you use a series one or series 2 rb25 when you did your conversion

    Sorry for taking over your thread lol but seeing as your a cop I thought I'd ask you. When police measure how low your car is, is it from the body or the exhaust?

    So it wasn't the oil I had a look at the clutch pedal and changed some stuff and had a fiddle. I think the clutch was set wrong because after I changed it it was a lot better it still makes some noise but doesn't fight me when I try to change gear it's all smooth to shift now so I thought I'd let u guys know
