hey stacey, saw u at drag combat, and just wondering why the sluggish 1/4 mile time? it's a friggin awesome car, it just looked like u didn't give it much< like 13 secs or something?

ur right u can never tell for sure, but if i was buiying an r34 gtr i would inspect it myself, because of the money u could lose if it doesn't pass compliance, or something. their not going to go to that much trouble to fix up a 15 yr old car, mainly beacause their not making much money from it, besides the car has no engine mods, and it has stock boost. but yes it still could have been raced, im prepared to take that risk

settle down mate take a chill pill, obviously the majority of ppl here's favourite car is a skyline, therefore there'll be some holden bashing going on. Don't take it to heart so much, its as if ur dad made the first holden!? i don't know about a holden turning more heads? every second car is a holden, skylines are unique, and still fairly rare, (compared to holdens) which is why a skyline would turn more heads, not to mention the noises it makes

does anyone know how the side intrusion bars fit in when u have to put them in for compliance, if anyones noticed how it was done, when u were changing speakers or something, whether the inside of the door had to be chopped or something? or does ne1 know somewhere that will just tick my 15 yr old, off in nsw, without worrying about them? its the only thing i'm not sure about is how they do it with the door skin on, without wrecking the paint? can u screw them on?

basically, what r u looking at for a similar price locally? an auspec 200sx, xr8, hsv, etc. compared to local prices a 89 gtr is a good buy, u may say that 'oh a 15yr old car is too old, unreliable' whatever but if u think about it, its only 4 years older than the latest r32, and companies like prestige rely on, if u couldn't then no-one would buy cars from them. and u can generally tell if a car has been drifted, raced whatever from the info they give u.

if ur driving a 32, u could put gtr headlights in, they look a lot better than gtst lights, the gtr ones are sort of crystal, whereas gtst are just plain like camry headlights

It's got 108000 k's, i got it from prestige, (not going to japan for a 15 yr old car) besides plenty of mates have bought cars through them and got what they were told they were getting, so i trust them. Its almost stock, no engine mods, clean as. The exchange rate is rooted, i found out if i had paid for my car a week later, it would've cost $500 less.

the only reason i pulled u up, was because ur figures for the fords were less than right, and conveniently the holdens had more rear rwkw considering less power at the engine!? i wouldn't have bought gen 3, there's a good chance u'll have to rebuild the engine sometime around 100 000km's, i don't expect u to like my nickname

mine will be around 18grand onroad, and its grade 3, u must be going to the wrong auctions

so ur saying an xr6 na has almost a 50% powerloss through the drivetrain? i don't think so, it would be more like 130rwkw- 135rwkw, ur not going to lose that much power in any car, and xr6t would be more like 200rwkw

u obviously misunderstood what i said, i said u could register it as a 2 seater if it didn't have chassis damage krawler u should offer him like 2 grand for it, so u can have a parts car, although he will proly end up selling it to some numbskull that doesn't look into why he didn't get compliance.

i'm pretty sure u can register it if u make it a 2 seater, but not if its damaged like seqo says, is it a spec1 or 2?

the only way it would get rejected is if it had been in a major accident, if u just forgot to put something on it, eg. child restraint etc. then they would just tell u to put it on. i know a dude that,that happened to, an r34 gtr cut and shut, might be the same guy dunno, he said he got an offer for 110k as long as he got it complied, and as u can't register badly damaged cars he lost plenty of money

prestige do get cars under 15 years for compliance, its just that hardly any shops can get approval to compliance them. how did u know i bought a gtr for that price? although u spelt my name wrong, :jk: by the way good choice of xr6 turbo, would be the best car out if it was lighter. when someone said that japanese guys getting harrassed by the cops, i would say that lebanese guys would get that the most, but if ur an aussie working in a shop of beer drinking v8 drivers then ur going to get paid out if u drive a skyline, FULLY SICK!! but yeh if there were more of them around then i don't think they would be targeted as much, besides i'm sick of seeing vs commos around. also the way dotars still hasn't made a decision can proly only be a good sign. buying an r32 gtr for less than 20k is a great buy and if u paid many a, for a later model then all i have to say is suffer in ur jocks. I don't think there should be a rule against young drivers getting skylines, someone said that, i think there should be a rule against idiots getting skylines.
