oh yeah I tried that out this morning funnily enough. Much better than the earthquake like tone of the iPhone unleashes at 5am.

My wife and I were given fitbit's as a gift. I instantly thought what a useless, crappy gadget these things are, but after a solid two weeks of daily use I'm now used to it. I'm still not exactly sure what the actual benefit of these things are. The biggest advantage I've become I aware of is that I have something attached to me like a prison bracelet that remembers everything I do and tells me how shit I am at the end of the week, so I have a mental reminder to get active and not eat bad food. Obviously, all of the data retrieved is taken with a grain of salt and I consider it 'indication only', however the device has me led me to understand that I sleep terribly and don't exercise for long enough periods at a time. Does anyone else use one? And what sort of advantages or disadvantages have you encountered?

Upgraded to fifa15 also. Ea still haven't fixed the god-damn keepers and whole field long balls from a corner clearance. Thought they would have sorted their shit out by now. Fut companion is also disastrous for my productivity at work -
If you're an aviation nerd, these desks are awesome. They recycle decommissioned aircraft parts and turn them into office furniture. Caveat: not cheap whatsoever. From: http://www.motoart.com/products/desks/airplane-desks/b-25-bomber-desks

Oh yeah I'm all over the suit, I wouldn't get an off-the-rack for a wedding. Its more of a personal thing. I don't want to feel like a blob on my wedding day.
-
yeah I'm not sold on them either.

Looking at moving to a push day, then leg day, then pull day. With a day off in between each one. And abs too.

Yeah the aim is to be a bit bigger for my wedding in november. I look shithouse in a tux at the moment.

Well last night I resumed normal workouts. Full weights but only two full sets and half of the third. Took it really easy, concentrated excessively on form. Elbow is feeling great today. I'm going to have a day off anyway and resume workouts tomorrow just to be on the safe side. Thanks for all the advice Dan.

Hey guise - I don't have a build thread but I did a few measurements last night after 3+ months of solid gym work. I don't want to sound like I'm tooting my own horn too much, but I was really excited by the results; and most of my work in the gym has solely been attributed to information I've extracted from the health+wellbeing section on these forums. Much love brah's. I started my first day weighing in at 76kg's, 174cm tall, 17.8%bf, thin, pasty, scrawny and generally weak as piss. I started doing around 4 or 5 exercises of each upper body days, followed by lower body days, then a day off, then repeat. For upper body: Chest press 3x8 Shoulder press 3 x 8 Lat pull down assisted wide grip chin ups incline bench press Military press pull ups or bro curls suicedes rope pull for tri's/ For lower body Squats Deads plate leg press quad extension hamstring curl lunges standing/seated calf raises I would also try and do some hypertrophy stuff after each workout, mostly 30 seconds on/off on the rowing machine or spin bike. Or I'd do some sprints in the park or on the beach. So last night, I weighed in at 78.5kg's, 18%bf, and a 7cm increase in chest width, 1cm decrease in belly circumference. 2cm gain in arms and legs. tl:dr: Massively stoked that SAU fitness can provide excellent info. Cheers!

Wow dude. That's intense.

wow thats pretty good. on the other side of the coin, I'm utterly shit. I do have a question though...do you guys zero your scope when using DMR's? I've been playing around with it a little. 200m seems to be the best all-rounder, but I don't have time to accurately zero the scope whenever I pickup a target to have a shot at. If I leave it at zero I really have to aim upwards a fair bit. Any thoughts?

me neither. -
Yeah smart idea. I'm erring on the side of caution. Sounds like the tendinitis really knocked you about.

This 100%. There is so much contradiction and subjectivity as to what is a mental health problem and just someone that is a bit eccentric. I think this is the main cause of stigma's behind mental health issues. One person's diagnosis is different to another; even between qualified and certified medical practitioners. I don't think it is so much of the tangible effect; but more confusion behind severity of a mental health issue vs the existence of a mental issue in the first place. With that said, I think its a relatively new concept in the medical world; and it clearly needs more research to help those that suffer from mental problems in society.

So I've only had a go at running and essentially leg only days at the gym since last week. Elbow is feeling much better. Last night I had a go at some chin ups and pull ups in between various sets. The elbow feels great, no pain at all. I'm not 100% convinced I'm healed, so I'm giving it till the end of the week and I'll resume normal exercises, but as you said Dan, I'm foregoing bro curls and other elbow movement intensive exercises. I think the big compound exercises are more then enough for bi's and tri's anyway.

Alright sounds like a good idea Dan. I tried 30 pushups yesterday in an effort to decide whether I should gym or not. It still felt dull so I went for a run instead. Might give it another week and ditch curls completely, stick with the compound movements.

Have you guys ever suffered from tennis elbow during your lifting? Got a slight dull ache in my dominate arm. Its very faint so I'm taking a day or two off from the gym and see I'll see how it goes. Other then pain killers, (for the anti-inflammatory) are there any other remedies?
