Yeah i spose, It is just that i owned a white 95 GTS-t when i lived in melbourne and i do not want the same colour for that reason and do not want to go backwards in years.

It is just a shame that it is so biased. It would be alot better if there cars were of a more equal set up. I think it would then put the presure back on the drivers. Watching it today was a bit boring because ferrai just whopped and no one even looked close! But seriously F1 without Shuemacker (I can't spell) is like basketball without Jordan! I know i lost interest once he retired...

Where can i get one for that much? NEW? Fitted? As previously posted i am very keen on that car just the gearbox... Cheers

I am having major dilema's with trying to buy a car. I sold my MY98 WRX cheaply in an effort to get back into a skyline, As i had found the car i wanted to buy. Went and took it for a test drive and everything is awesome except for a whine when decelerating in 1st and 2nd, So i got a mechanical check done on it. As expected problem with gearbox. Because of this i am driving around in a gutless nissan pulsar that my girlfriends sister owns. The problem now is trying to find another car that fits into my stringent criteria. It took me 4 months to locate my first line and i was hoping it wouldn't take so long this time. I have looked everywhere for a 95+ silver or Black GTS-t, obviously for the right price. Anyway to save me too much hassle, Does anyone know of any good gearbox places in Brisbane? Cheers

Has anyone actually had this happen to their skyline. The mechanic actually told me it was not a major drama and would only cost $400ish, to replace a single bearing. Just from a mechanic saying one bearing, to others saying gearbox is fu*ked. on driving the car the gearbox feels very solid, no crunching etc... In what way is the gearbox wrecked?

CAR - 95 R33 GTS-t (man) thank you for your help guys. That bites.

I was really hoping that was not an option! But then again i had a feeling it would be this way! The car is exactly what i am after! Oh well. The mechanic said it was a certain bearing and would only cost $400ish to fix? He mentioned that it was only used during 1st and 2nd gears, hence the noise only being in 1st and 2nd. How much for a complete new gearbox installed?

The car i am looking to buy has one slight problem. When decelerating in 1st and 2nd gear, it makes a screaming noise. I have had a mechanical check on it and the inspector said it was a bearing in the gearbox. He went on to say change the oil to automatic oil and you will probably not notice it anymore. I am not very keen on the whole changing oil thing and would rather get it fixed. Can anyone help me with what bearing it might be and costs involved. I appreciate the help. Thanks for the reply's I am about to book it in with stateroads. They come round and do it all in the owners drve way. Cost - $179 but has full compression tests, previous damage and encumberance checks. If all goes well the Skyline will be in my garage on tuesday night! I hope so anyway.

I am looking to purchase a R33 GTS-t with in the next week and am wondering where is the best place to get all the mechanicals checked out? I have found the one i want but don't want any mechanical troubles out of it. The car is in Brisbane on the northside. I do not expect the driver to take it too far away as i am not wanting to stuff him around. I just want his car. What are your reccommendations? Cheers

This was how mine were changed. The reason mine broke off was because when i first bought it i ws driving home and the car started vibrating. Pulled over and a wheel nut rolled onto the ground. the idiot i bought it off must have just changed wheels and forgot to tighten... oh well

Yeah i had this with my R33 GTS-t a while back. Two of the studs broke in quick succession. I just went to Repco and got the R31 wheel studs. Took them to a wheel shop and they changed them over for free. Worked like a treat!

have not actuallt fitted a pivot, but have installed a spitfire one and can not imagine too much of a difference. Here are a few of the threads for it. I install an Autometer one. About 3/4 inch diameter with RPM 'pills'. Easy to install and worked a treat. There is a thread on the install of it if you need.

Just for interest sake, A company called dreamtech (I think) Where making 50 of these coupes. You had a choice between GT, GT-P, XR8, XR6t. then they hack it for you and whoala, Coupe. I saw one at last years melbourne motor show and it looked amazing! I have photo's somewhere if someone is very keen.
