  3. Hey Ben, well done dude !! I know you were expecting better, but dont worry the times will come as soon as you are sorted. A couple of points tho, in your last run you didnt do a burnout which might have helped your tyres get a bit more grip. And on take off it looked like you got no wheel spin at all, it looked like the car had to rev from low which might have costed some time. In my car im pretty sure that getting a bit of wheelspin on launch will give a better run than say riding the clutch.....

  6. Thinking of getting the Nismo coppermix kit from Nengun ~400ps $1600 delivered comes with pressure and clutch plates, thrust bearing and lightenened flywheel. OR From Taka Kaira, Ogura Kit ~400ps also $1600 delivered with above parts. Anyone heard any good stuff on these?
  7. Ok But getting back to Legalities though, If you ever get pulled over and the cop is what most are (a c#%t). And he decides to defect you left, right and centre. Hes not going to get under the car and undo your cat to see if its hollow or not. Dont you get a defective notice where you've got like x number of hours to get it all clear. And if that includes getting an emissions check, you would still have time to go to your local exhaust place and buy a new cat, fitting it and avoiding the $10000 fine???

  13. im with you there Roy, high revs in an internally std motor will hurt more than high boost. driving to work i rarely go past 0.9bar. I have taken it to 1.5bar in a couple of occasions to see how it felt. Not much different than 1.4 bar. But i have it set to a max of ~1.4, but most times i set it to 1.2bar when i feel like a squirt. my rev cut is set at 7000rpm to keep things on the safe side...
  14. MRK25T you need to let it open up, these turbos are designed to run highish boost to reach their efficiency peak @ 1.3 - 1.4 bar... theres a shitload of power to be had from 1.0 - 1.4 bar...
  15. Hey Ben, Congrats man thats very nice power !! RB20s still rock ! 12 years on One suggestion though, turn boost up a little higher say 1.3 - 1.4 bar. On mine from 1.2 to 1.4bar really starts pulling hard @ 1.4. cant wait to put the Rb26 cams and pulleys. Gotta do the clutch first tho..

  18. what are your plans now? Retune SAFC or buying a PFC? SK, on your cars was it as easy as bolt on drive away? if you wanna get rid of the cams im interested to give it a go...
  19. other thing is sourcing 6 4AGZE pistons if you wanna go second hand, youll need 2 motors. If you gonna buy new, might aswell go for new 80.5 bore. So not much saving there.

  21. any luck bbenny? just curious, in a car fitted with a PFC if you reset the ecu, you loose the whole tune. So is it really necessary to reset it? I understand it will probably need another tune for it to run efficiently but i thought it would be a in/out process. just a better flowing head.

  23. When you say reset, do you mean at 20 degrees at 750rpm?
  24. i have the same setup as mist except for a 2535, and about the same consumption. Thats with relaxed driving, the moment you start driving hard consumption drops dramatically, id say about half. hey mist what sort of power are you making?
