i was under the impression that oil restrictors were mainly necessary for RB26s ? if you had a larger sump you would less likely need them on a RB25/30?

I think there are things one can yourselves or might already have and be able to reuse. eg. ECU, I/C, Fuel/Ignition, diff, flywheel, clutch (reuse) I'll be putting it together myself, making the new dump pipes + sourcing and installing all misc. parts. Price can very quickly be reduced if you can reuse parts from your current setup and attempt some of the work yourselves. im hoping to only spend about $6000 and reach 400rwkw using CP Pistons + rings Eagle Rods (big maybe here, could just prep std rb30) ACL bearings ARP studs Prep Block balance Crank new oem water & oil pump RB25 Clean up / port matched head with gtr springs Gasket set labour of assembly all on my own.

so is it the spring tension that pushes the oil out of the lifters? I thought it was more to do with the oil pressures and design of the lifter that determined how fast the oil came out of them... Does anyone know the spring tension rate on the rb20 vs rb26 valve springs?

What symptoms are u getting?

How would you match the cam specs to the spring tension? i intend to use my rb20 poncams on the rb25 and was thinking of upgrading the springs to rb26, but maybe should i consider other springs?

What ecu/injectors are u using?

Interested in the Kaaz 1.5 way. Are you able to get the Cusco ones and if so for how much roughly? In regards to bigsully84's comments, i always thought 2 way is practically a locked diff, if this is so it wouldnt be very effective around the track...

very interesting... I would have never thought the spit dump would actually make any difference at all... How long down the dump is the split?

S5 inj + PFC work fine. However @ idle even tho it doesnt sound to bad except for the ocassional pop they need to be tune quite rich AFR. The spray pattern on Rx7 inj is more like a squirt rather than a mist compared to a piston injector so tunnig for them to spray small amounts of fuel(@ idle) its kinda tricky. And hence requires the AFR to be slightly rich. My AFR @ idle was ~ 12.0 when they are usually around 14.0. Rotaries have a deflector which splits the spray in half for a more even distribution, obviously piston motors dont have these. Best bet is to go for GTR inj. or if budget allows go for SARD, HKS...
