  7. I was trying to work that out too, I think it's a light that flashes when the back wheels are airborne/no traction so he wont spin out and die at that speed and write off the porsche
  8. Will try the fuel filter but he reckons it was changed about 4 months ago. Timing marks were lined up with the engine marks, but I will double check today Cheers

  10. Yeah mate that's the only thing I got left, will try tomorrow, but i've done the reset and everything and didn't work
  11. G'day, My mate has a RB20 '92 gtst. Firstly, mods, front mount, bleed valve (running standard boost at the moment), turbo back. Basically he's skyline has the standard skyline problem of stalling, but this one is different. He has changed the timing belt and water pump recently and since then the car is running badly, i.e struggling to start, lacking power. He also tells me that he removed the pump assembly from the fuel tank becuase he needed to check why he's fuel gauge wasn't working, he did nothing, took it out, checked resistance in the sender and put it back in. Then some reason the fuel gauge started working and the car is lacking response. When it's first started no matter hot or cold, it runs like a dog for say 4 mins. I have swapped the airflow over with mine and it still does it, and he has a new 02 sensor. Sometimes it runs bad like it's in limp home mode, backfiring and carring on, so I thought maybe its overfueling or something fuel related Thought it has to be something to do with him taking the pump out or something, but the thing is, disconnect the fuse and the pump, run the car, till stalls, keep turning for 30secs. Remove a hose of the pump and it is pouring out, and I mean pouring, alot more than usually happens and its coming out of the tank side not the hose going to the engine. Put it back on and took the other off, same thing, tried both off, same thing. It's basically like the pump is on a little and it keeps coming. It's on just under half tank too. Would this be pointing to something wrong down that end? Pump? Or maybe the regulator is dead? It's just strange it happens after he did something. What could it be as I can't get it out with petrol pouring all over the shop, something to do with the new water pump and belt? Cheers help out please And sorry for the story, any help is sensational
  12. Yeah mate, even if gauge is faulty the red light wont come on unless it actually has no oil pressure. But it saying that the sender could be stuffed completely. Does the engine sound rattley while the light is on? Blow smoke? Use any oil? Basically stop driving it and check it out immediatley you might be lucky that no damage is done....yet
  13. Sale has fallen through Still for sale, looking to sell before 24th this month Cheers

  16. G'day, have my pride and joy for sale (copied from my car sales ad:P ) Reason for selling as have new job which requires a new car and very little time at home. Car was imported last year before the rules were changed. Have reciepts for work done in the past year (since being in Aust). Car has, EXEDY Heavy duty clutch and lightened flywheel (5000kms), Hybrid front mount copy intercooler kit (600x300x76), Greddy boost gauge, turbo timer and 5izgen cat-back exhaust (legal noise). The only mod being done since it's arrival in Aust is the front mount and clutch/flywheel. No rust, no leaks. Recently had full fuel clean including, new tank, flushed lines, reconditioned standard injectors and flushed fuel rail, new water pump, new turbo gaskets, rocker covers/oil sump resealed, new exhaust studs, flushed turbo coolant lines, Turbo inspected (running standard boost), new spark plugs, new battery (7 months) engine/clutch fan swapped for 12" and 10" thermo fans. This is a good example of a '32 Type M ready for modifications, very regrettable sale as I purchased this vehicle for modifying but need to move on to a new vehicle. First to see will buy, price is negotiable, feel free to inspect only if prepared to buy. More info includes 106,000km, autometer oil pressure gauge. Known problems: thermo fans are running through a manual switch in the cabin, so it needs to be re wired through the relay box/radiator switch to work like real thermos and come on when it reaches certain temps, the reason for this is that I simply installed them as a temporary job but have not got around to re-wiring it correctly Needs a steering wheel cover Paint isn't the best, its slightly faded and cracked in some places, but not by much i'm just fussy I am disappointed with having to sell this car (like all my other things:P ) but I need to move on to a new car and new location for my new job Car is located at Gorokan (Central Coast, NSW). Contact via PM or call 0413292734 Looking for around the 10,900 ono offer mark. Open to offers just send me a PM Cheers, Dean
  17. They both turn the same way for LSD. If it was the diff it would be fairly noticeable. Try doing a U-turn on full lock taking off normally and see if you get some rear end shudder Cheers
  18. Sorry for the question but I have to ask. You sure you wired it up right? Did the sensor you put in have 3 wires? Was that sensor for 300zx's? If your positive then i'd recomend grabbing a new sensor. You can use universal sensors made for EL falcons that you can find for $70 odd bucks and they work perfectly. Cheers
  19. Cheers for the heads up bloke, price drop to pay for a new pipe to get on the track.
  20. Hey champ, there is an air con thread in the DIY section. In the thread it has how to access the diagnostic mode for the unit, by using it's own diagnostics more than likely it will show that a sensor is reading the wrong temp, which makes the unit thinks it's hot. This obviously only applies if you have the climate control As for the fuse box click. I'm pretty sure it's on there, or run a search on here. Start with that and see how ya go Cheers
  21. Pics Will also throw in the 4 old tires for drift/oversteer practice Open to offers Cheers!
  22. G'day lads, looking for a consult cable to hook up to my '32. I have made one up that works with my old pulsars but doesn't work with the skyline. I heard that they might not work for '89s but the ecu in it is from a '93 and it still doesn't work $55 including postage sounds fair but obviously it's not my decision. I need one that has been used on a R32 before and worked Cheers
  23. You can adjust it by moving it up and down on the throttle body while it's lightly screwed on. Doing this can help to iron out a few probs including idle probs etc. And no i'm pretty sure from memory it is solid plastic and can't be opened. Try adjusting it Cheers
