Steering wheel? Condition?
-
More than likely it will be the battery. If it's old and on its way out, as it gets hotter while the car is running, bubbles will form on the inside of the battery electrodes and this will cause it to not have enough power to turn it over when it is hot. Also check the wiring is connected correctly to the starter, more importantly the ground wire

A/c Belt Misaligned? Need Help To Fix This (pics)
GTAHH replied to BobyYoo's topic in General Maintenance
What he said. The belt is more than likely ripped up from hanging off like that. If you put it on it could snap or sqeak around -
Lots of things, check the obvious, like a fuse. Check that the plugs are connected that actually go into the mirrors. Start with them

Yes, replacing the studs while it's all off will be a cheaper/wiser option. More than likely there are a few loose/broken, and it will cost more labour further down the track when it starts to do the same thing Also they are quite hard to get off without breaking the studs, since theyre turbo they are more than likely very fragile. But i'd say there would be some already broken/loose and will need to be replaced. It's quite hard to get the broken stud out, if the engine is in the car, so try to take extra care when you go to undo them, but unfortunatley some will just break off if your unlucky and you will need to drill them out Cheers

Thought i'd try and post it up in here. All I need is the tank itself, no pump etc. Just the tank in good condition no rust inside or out. Mines rusted to hell and back. For an R32 GTST RB20DET. I live on the Central coast but willing to travel to pick up. Cheers!
-
As title says, need a standard fuel tank for r32 gtst, don't need pump (unless you want to give ). Needs to be in reasonable condition, with no rust inside the tank and no leaks etc. Need one quickly Reply via PM or reply Cheers! Forgot to add, can't really be posted so will need to pick it up, so around Sydney or Newcastle areas (close or inbetween)

Put the resistor across the plug you circled red. It should have only two connectors on the inside. I used a 5k resistor and now it reads around 20deg. You could try different types to get different readings, its up to you. Put one end of the resistor on one terminal in that plug, then the other side of the resistor put it on the other terminal on the same plug (red circled one) Cheers

When will the R32 kits (piping) be back in? How much? RB20 gtst Cheers -
Especially now the rules are changing. Say your parked near the beach in NSW with a group of mates, yes they have the right to search the car for weapons and drugs. People tend to think you can't search their car, but yes you can. You don't let them search it, they assume you've got something to hide and more than likely you will be walking home or asking the officer for a lift home and an expensive tow ticket Sorry don't have the link, it is on there somewhere or maybe the uni site for it, so it can be downloaded by students
-
Officers who join up in NSW are issued with the NSW police handbook (500+ pages). It has all the rules and obligations of being a police officer, and yes it can be downloaded from the NSW police website
-
Put it this way, you act like this to a police officer all the time he might start to notice how loud your exhaust is etc etc. People have many rights but don't abuse them, you speed, you get fined. Laser detectors are legal at this stage, but keep in mind they only work when they detect a laser, meaning that you more than likely have already been clocked.

Does it blow smoke? Usually it would if you've done some turbo damage. Maybe it dropped a cylinder as one of the coil packs died? Or it needs a new fuel filter/injector clean? Or even a clogged air filter? Does it boost at all? Did the guage always work correctly or maybe you have just noticed the guage isn't working now that you think you have broken something? Lots of smoke will mean serious damage more than likely cheers

R32 Parts Clearance

PM sent re: Item: R32 front 2" lowered springs -
Maybe for tune is out of whack? Fitting an R33 turbo will be good as the R32 turbos will come apart around the psi you are using. Fitting a front mount will increase the power but i'd be thinking that maybe your car needs a good tune. Run some injector cleaner through it as the injectors may be abit dirty and will clog up. Test the compression? Maybe your engine is lacking compression and therefore power

Use thinner oil or maybe oil tunnels are blocked there running up to the head? You sure you checked them before you put the head back on and didn't leave anything in them?

There are plenty of mobile speed cameras that get around. But if it was a mobile camera that took your picture there must be a sign erected on the road that can be seen from both directions. Also if it was a mobile camera it has a flash just like the fixed ones. If none of this happened then you are okay, as you need to have the ticket physically written out and given to you on the spot if it is not a mobile camera. Mobile cameras are generally mounted inside a fully marked police wagon, not set up on the side of the road. Cheers

My air con compressor does not come on at all, so it isn't an issue related to this, but my sensor displayed -24 (stated above) and I have put a 5k across the correct plug and now it reads around 25deg. It now blows the same temp air as outside the cabin rather than the heater, so doing this does work. Cheers
-
125 isn't perfect but still in the reasonable limits. It's good when all the cylinder have lost compression equally, but losing compression doesn't mean a real lot as it's turbo, the turbo's will always have less psi than a N/A engine. I don't own an RB25 though but this compression is good enough (not great) for a turbo engine Cheers

Depends if he bought the 3.5hp version or the 5hp version
