  1. Fuel filter. Turbo goneskis?
  2. G'day, I tried searching and couldn't really find what I need. Basically today I took off the AAC valve on my RB20 and gave it a good clean with carby cleaner. I removed the whole thing (4 Hex bolts) and I un-screwed the two screws holding the solenoid looking thing on. I gave the whole thing a clean, and put it all back together and reconnected it, started it, and it idles very high, and when it's warmed up it can't sit on it's high idle (2000rpm), it continues surging from 1000-2000 when it gets warmer. When its running I can disonnect the connector and it stills continues what it's doing without any change. So I guess I put it all together incorrectly? Can someone give me some pointers how to put it back together correctly? Maybe I have put the plunger the wrong way or something silly like that? I have disconnected the battery for a day or so to reset the ECU, incase it isn't used to a clean valve or something like that Cheers all
  3. hahahahaaa, gold Makes sense but
  4. Cheers, do you need to move the horn or anything? I have the M spec front as well, so most of my chopping needs to be done to the bumper
  5. Basically any new car can potentially be a cop car. XR6's, XR6T's, XR8's, SS's, S's, any standard holden/ford, magna's and VRX magna, camry's, corolla's, lancer wagons and VRX lancer and pathfinder's. There all the ones that are just in my area, so i'm sure in city areas there are plenty more including modified cars. But not all of these cars will pull you over unless you are doing something stupid. Usually the big bangers are highway patrol
  6. Now now, not all cops are drop kicks
  7. Keen to know as well, I have a huge battery so some pics will help me out. Cheers
  8. Over filled the oil? Does it only do it when cold?
  9. Still looking Cheers
  10. Its ok for it to have hot air, its just better to have it sucking in cold air rather than hot. If it really worries you run some pipes that draw in the cold air, or make up a littlecold air box
  11. Cheers, Bump
  12. Cheers, will have to see if there is any different? But I would prefer to have the gtst shocks and springs. Thanks anyway
  13. I guess ill have a look, I just bought it off a guy who imported it and haven't really looked through the whole car yet. Maybe it needs to be set up differently to work on the RB?
  14. Cheers, The plug is there above the fuse box, when the laptop is connected it cannot connect with the ecu. Any takers?
  15. Looking for standard shocks and springs (complete) for a R32 gtst '89 skyline. Shocks and springs in good cond, i.e no leaks. Front and rear. Located on the Central Coast NSW, but willing to pay post. Cheers
  16. G'day, tried running a search and got confused. Quick question, I connected my brothers laptop to my R32 '89 gtst skyline running a diagnostics program (pretty sure its consult). When it is connected, the laptop cannot connect with the ecu, my brother tells me that '89 skylines are not capable of using the consult as they do not have the on board diagnostics or something similar. Correct? The laptop has only been used on SR20's and SR20DET's, does there need to be anything different for the RB engine systems? Or is it the fact that my car is incompatible? Cheers
  17. When did you blokes go through the old pac? A bloke got taken off his bike at the northern end (gosford) and wasnt in good shape so the road had to be blocked. Most bikers come off there because they often cut the corners and clip a car racing the other way, so take it easy on the blind corners
  18. I have this problem too, I have clean/replaced almost everything brought up. Maybe it is the engine mounts or there may be an inbalance somewhere. e.g Flywheel? Hope someone can solve this
  19. Take the afm out, and spray directly through it. There are little pins you can see inside the afm. Even if they look like they arent dirty spray them, dust is all it takes.
  20. Coming from someone who deals with this everyday, get a lawyer. The police will not help you if it is a minor accident, it is a court matter not a police matter cheers
