  1. Hey Stao that ss1.5 looks very promising on the SR. Its fair to say that it would be a more responsive turbo than the ss1pu. Just out of curiosity would it be possible to upgrade the ss1pu to the ss1.5? Cheers
  2. I'm very interested to see your results with the FNT 0.86 rear housing. So for clarification its an ss1PU right?
  3. Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll get this looked at as soon as I get a chance.
  4. Hey Manuel, Sorry for the dalay but i've got the time to post up my graphs for a comparo. I have just realised that your ss1 is in a R33 but it doesn't hurt to get some feedback http://s1145.photobucket.com/user/morganjanusevski/media/20130911_142728.jpg.html http://s1145.photobucket.com/user/morganjanusevski/media/20130911_142708.jpg.html http://s1145.photobucket.com/user/morganjanusevski/media/998049_10151473799196403_1262221954_n.jpg.html - As she sits now, just got my BC BR coilovers delivered today & have a jap spec front bar & series 2 sideskirts which I'm in the process of painting as well.
  5. Hey Man hows it been? I'm a little confused bro, stao's post above states 260rwkw on 98 not e85. I want as much response as possible and it seems that the ss1.5 will deliver the same power earlier on than the ss1pu but the ss1pu will make more up top.
  6. Bargain! So let me get this straight. Its smaller than the the ss1pu, makes more power and is more responsive on an SR20 Have i understood this correct? Cheers
  7. Hi Stao, That sounds fantastic! So what would it take to convert my ss1pu to this badboy?
  8. Cool, good luck with those tests on the SS-4 results man, I'll stay tuned!
  9. Any updates on the VNT housing for SS1PU??
  10. Lol, offshore drill ship, I help run casing into the ground, work on various rigs as required.
  11. Yeah will do as soon as i get home, offshore atm.
  12. Not much of a difference for 5 psi eh? I'm also running SS1PU, 20psi, garret 18 psi actuator, 238rwkw. I'll have to put my graph up, full boost around 4500 -5000, i'm really keen to bring it down a bit with the vnt housing. Turbo comes on nice though.
  13. Yeah I've heard old shockies will squat and keep power on the road where it belongs, cant you soften the rear damping to help put power down?
  14. Did you have cams? I'm not running any and making 236rwkw, I would expect around that mark with cams. Good luck at the drags!
  15. Sounds good. Im also running 20psi. Just scored an R33 ABS auto diff with 4.3's in it. Just trying to source an LSD to suit, bang in some coilovers and hit the drags. What kind of power u making at 20psi?
  16. Sounds exciting Stao. So just to clarify I can change out the turbine housing on my SS1PU to a VNT turbine housing, did I understand correctly?s And this will help move the power curve to the left? Cheers.
  17. Just out of curiosity what upgrades can be applied to the SS1PU? Can the journal bearing core be swapped out for ball bearing, steel or ceramic? And the rear fnt/vnt housings? I've been following this thread very closely but I'm still not certain what changes can be made. I'm looking to move my power curve to the left as far as possible. Any help would be much appreciated.
  18. Ya, me too, got my ss1pu back in November and this new VNT housing sounds like it'll make quite a difference on the bottom end response on SR20.
  19. is the diff abs 4.11?
  20. Tom at PZP. That guys awesome, knows his stuff and always has the time to answer questions. I cant recommend him enough.
  21. Just want to give Stao some props on his turbos. I recently installed an ATR28G2 SS1PU to my sr20. Car has 180k and is unopened with all the usual bolt on's. I was running 18 psi and getting 226rwkw, no cams and it felt pretty good. I just whacked on a bellmouth dump and upped pressure to 20 psi and the car pulled 236rwkw. What really blew me away was the change in mid-range from about 4500rpm, it feels like a different turbo, noticeably more torque. I winder what it will do with cams, New HG, head studs and 24 psi?? All I can say is great product, great performance and great price, keep up the great work Stao..
