  1. Always scanning the site and this is the first time someone has fessed up to the real story! $16K cars can sometimes come with some extra's...mine did. Tyre kickers are the worst! If I was selling my car in this market( and its getting worse!) get what you can and run. They are cars to own and not to sell I reckon. Good luck, fingers crossed for a good price, it looks to be a nice straight one.
  2. I didn't mean a IC spray kit, but a true injection system via the intake plenum. No pinging, lower intake temp and more power at lower boost. For eg, A swisho system that Group A rally cars use only costs about $900 fitted against about $1600 for a DECENT fmic!. Less lag too over! as you don't have the big pressure drop of a huge cooler. $100 sound good for a AFC tweak, will have to get down there!
  3. INASNT, where did you get your S-AFC tuned and how much? Have you thought about Water/methanol injection? Its half the cost of a FMIC, legal and unless you race around a track to get enough air flow through a big FMIC , works more efficiently on the street. Although a big FMIC does look cool!
  4. Yeah, timing is critical but how would that make a difference depending on the intake temp? (still haven't checked it though and don't know if the mechanic did)
  5. All pipes/intercooler pressure checked , correct heat range (7)and gapped plugs, reset ecu, Manifolds checked and tightneed, turbo removed and checked. Dynoed and mixtures seem solid at 11%(S-AFC installed and waiting for tweaking). When its warm(weather wise) it will pull through the rev range smoooth and hard in all gears, when its cold(weather wise), starts missing as it pulls higher boost even in second(high boost means 10psi in my case, no where near factory cut off). AND, fuel pressure tested under load OK and boost gauge tested as well?????? I tell ya it annoying but at least I know whats NOT wrong with the buggar!!!
  6. I AM HAVING TUNING PROBS WITH MY SERIES 1 GTST. I WOULD LIKE TO SWAP OUT SOME PARTS TO ISOLATE THIS VERY ANOYING ISSUE MY MECHANIC CAN'T WORK OUT($900 LATER). I NEED A S1 AFM, A SET OF COIL PACKS AND AN IGNITER TO TEST WITH FOR 10 MINS. I INVISAGE DRIVING TO YOURS, SWAPPING THE BITS GOING AROUND THE BLOCK AND THEN GIVING YOU HEART FELTS THANKS AND PROBABLY SOME DOLLARS/SLABS OR IF INTERESTED A WEEK OLD UAS COLD AIR INTAKE AND O2 RUSH RACE POD. BIT OF A LONG SHOT BUT I'M SURE SOME POOR BASTARD HAS BEEN IN THIS POSITION BEFORE. THANKS GUYS STEVE. 0411 403081 [email protected]
