  1. I need a front set of rubber flexable break hose's to pass my RWC because I have braded lines at the moment. I have booking @ VIC roads tomorrow morning and the only place so far I can source them from is ENZED but they need to be made and tested and will not be ready untill Monday. Anyone know wher I might be able to source these parts from? I have already rang: Nissan Australia (2-6 weeks) Brakes Plus - No Idea Enzed - best so far Thanks...
  2. Did anyone end up using my spot? I got no PM's after Inarks injury report.
  3. Nissan Pulsar "Reebok" & "Sportsgirl" edition in early 90's - $2000 worth of extra cheap decals.
  4. I'm happy for Inark to get the ride if Snowman has had heaps of track work already and since Snowman has said it's coll already consider it Inarks ride (are you gon'na give me a few laps as passenger in the cheffy?) And as for getting my hands on another car? I have no other car and I would really only have the option of mum's or sisters cars... don't think they would be thrilled with that!
  5. Sold to the frosty look'en fella down the back gettin a-head in life! I will make my way down on the day and will hold you to the offer of a ride round the track. Should I get in contact with Nissan Datsun to let them know about the swap? Or do you think it could all be sorted on the day?
  6. I have a PAID spot for the Driver Training Session @ Sandown this Sunday if anyone would like to attend. You will need a CAMS L2 licence (I think you can get this on the day if you are an SAU Vic member) I have waited untill today to advertise this as I was still holding on a lil glimmer of hope my car would be on the road by then... this is not to be. Not 100% sure if a swap can be done in this way but it would be a shame to waste... anyone even considering doing some track work in the near future should do this course. BTW IT'S A FREE SPOT not asking for any money.
  7. I got mine for a lil bit more than a good stock example ($1K-$4K) but picked up about $14K+ worth of aftermarket parts:D go the mod's... unless you are really rich and want to spend about the same amount as the car on mod's (would most probably be much better when finished also)
  8. Send the letter to John Finne on 774 ABC Melbourne Radio. He is an ex REV-HEAD and has alot of community support / power to get things rolling if Mr. Barresi does not respond in favour to our proposal. Neil Mitchell could also be used but his views are generally narrow minded "That's the LAW...straight'en up boy or I'll throw you in prison" attitude. And I know from listening to his talkback programs that he hates/dislikes/has a fixed opinion for import drivers and is all for the silly band-aid fixes that have been thrown around in the media in he last few weeks. Get John Finne involved... if he feels the subject and proposal have merrit than I bet more could be done than with community support (not just SAU's community support)
  9. FOR SALE: T78 Just Kidding OK... it's not the best turb on the market but I just got the car and it's got this set up and I enjoy it for now. Never been for a ride in twin set-up.... never been in any other GTR besides mine (so I have no reference ponts to make judgment) I think I will shut up now and keep my NOOB comments to myself. siksII - day to day driving - yes I do change gear well B4 I hit the 8k mark.

    Home car wash!

Nexus120@ $254 is a good price if $400 is the RRP. 8 litres/min is great. s/steal piston. Start a poll to see who wants what?
  11. Well I was talking about the road (public) and if I were to change gear in second at 7000rpm A. I would be breaking the law on ANY road or highway in Australia B. I don't drive my car stupid carzy all the time (I have lost my licence 3 yes 3 times and don't plan on doing it ever again) + driving on boost all the time sucks all your juice and @ $1.15 per ltr it's like economy style (kind'a... still drinks shitloads) Now track... Yes you are right and I could not agree more about the looooooong wait for the boost to kick in and I do find it annoying when some jerk off catches you off guard (repmobile or whatever).... but if need be you know you could always catch up in a sec or two while waiting for boost. So... yes a T78 is probably not a good choice for the track but the thread headding is T78 drivability.
  12. Thats a con for track work - not day to day driving. I have heard of the "sydneykid" and in now way want to get into a tech. argument with you, but your quote from my post was highlighting the advantages if any about a turbo that kicks in @ 5K for day to day driving... But you only gave disavantages of track work on this set up in your reply? TRUE you are about the track stuff and depending on how involved I get with fanngin around tracks I have no intention of changing soon (I love it to bits... T78 that is)
  13. NOOB COMMENT... If you want you car to be streetable than what's wrong with the boost KICK'en in at 5K? Last time I checked my street driving did not involve too much boosting B4 I hit the speed limit and I think that half of you against high boost settings are BOV freaks that like the sound (it's a odd excuse for your fettish) As for it being a crap track set up... I'm in two minds on this one (+ have not had any track work under my belt yet... 17th @ Sandown is the first) Will share thoughts after first track day.
  14. Hey, I bought heaps of shitt for my car B4 it arrived from Japan (4 months worth of shopping and impulse buying for a car 1000's of mile's away, I bet heaps of guys have done it) Keep buying stuff for your car because then when you do get it (you are in the process right? If not I would save more!) you will have something to keep you busy and it will keep you focused on your goal >> getting your line! I'm not a big fan of the NEON though.
  15. Huge or Extream would be good words to use for LAG when bolted on a RB26DETT but when it comes on boost it does rip you back in your seat unlike it's little brothers. Great on fuel as a day to day driver as you hardly get to use the last 3K of your RPM's going to work and what not.
  16. I got mine with T78 + approx. $10,000 worth of other mods and everything seems sweet so far (only had it two weeks now) All in all it has cost me about $22500 ($15000 for the car) Have not got it on the dyno yet but I bet I got about 300rwkw for my 15K
  17. Take note... GTR ten commandments rule #7 (cant't recall where I found this... I think it was SDU) 1.I am the Nissan Skyline GTR thy car who has delivered thee out of the hands of the infernal Subaru WRX. Thou shalt have no other cars before me. 2.Thou shalt not make for thyself any graven images of Toyota Supras, nor of Mazda RX-7’s, nor of Mitsubishi EVOs, nor of anything that is a sports coupe. Thou shall not bow down to them or serve them, for the GTR is a jealous and vengeful car. 3.Thou shalt not take the name of Nissan in vain, even though they forsake thee and send thee no parts. 4.Remember thy oil change, and keep them faithfully. 5,000 Kilometres shalt thou drive and do all thy errands, but then shalt thy Nissan Skyline GTR have rest and have its oil changed. 5.Honor thy socket set and thy Phillips screwdriver, that thy GTRs days may be long in the land of the living. 6.Thou shalt not kill GTRs by diving them in the salt or in sand. 7.Thou shalt not commit adultery in the back seat, lest thou hurt thyself, for it is far too cramped back there. And remember ye the benefits of reclining bucket seats. 8.Thou shalt not steal engines from others for use in GTRs, for this is an abomination, and all knoweth that thy RB26DETT rules above all. 9.Thou shalt not bear false witness about thy horsepower. 10. Thou shalt no covet thy neighbours Porsche, nor his Ferrari, nor his Lamborghini, nor his bmw, nor his Mercedes, nor any other any Nissan that is thy neighbours. Thou shalt fix up thine own instead, give it gifts from thy tuners, and make thy neighbour covet it instead.
  18. I only know of 2 and would recomend 1 - PM sent.
  19. Not yet. I was planing on getting a tune done last Thursady but that turned to shit like every other plan I had for the car so far. It's just has a standard CAT put in and will probably only do a tune after I swap for a high flow or "so called" high flow. No Idea at all but would like to think around the 280 - 300rwkw mark???
  20. What local paper? Will look out for article. Did you give that responce on the spot? It was well thought out and very detailed. I think the average joe that reads it though will not care too much that "some of us" are responsible and mature road users. I know for a fact that the majority of people are more self assured in beliving sterotypes and will "PUT YOU IN A BOX"... my box is decorated with nudie pics and skylines
  21. I like that idea, it's always "interesting" to put names to faces. How do you cange your user name?? Also, I think the idea of Sate "meet/cruse/members" group shot is a great idea.
  22. Holy shit dude... Get some new tyres, I had NAKA... fu*k it on my FWD Celica and I would have to say the factory stock were 100 x better than the cheap NAKA... fu*k it sport rubber I put on. You get what you pay for... 90% of the time!
  23. Find out... A. 3" B. If you still got it, condition... pfft... I will probably gut it anyway. I will DIY if you can let me konw A & B
  24. Fark that... RWC and engineering certificate will all be done in VIC. I have seen a few T78 big single modded R32's on the roads in VIC. It is possible and it will be done! I now have a few good options and I'm going to keep the keyboard quiet untill it's done. VIC is strict and even more so since unfortunate crash yesterday... heard that all cops were sent memo to book all "imports" with P plates (which will mean all imports get anal probes for the next month or so P's or not)
