So it looks like were all racing (even though it's a track day) I can't wait. All I have done in my car so far is drive it around the block a few times. Need two things at the moment to make me happy as Larry... and none of them involve a woman... sad when you get you get life’s priorities in order! PS: I just got my GTR... I hope it will wear off soon

What's cheap I have one hooked up with BATMBL for $XXX.XX Whats your offer?

CBF'ed big time because I have "only given you the milky residue" of this cum dripping story. Some say I am "GREEN" others "KIND" because I try to have have faith in my fellow brothers... why do people lie? I have been pulled along this ride for too long now and if I were to encounter or have a conversation with "X" I would not know what to do with myself. :uzi: Is it time to get LOCO? I don't think so. As I get bridies landing on my shoulder frequently now days with stories of "X" and it is becoming clear that there is probably no point pushing what can't be done by "X" for whatever reason. Attitude adjustment I can understand... but I think I will have inner peace and my car on the road alot quicker if I just walk away and make mental note to self about my faith in people (because you all suck )

Firts Question / Judgment... to get some AIR TIME for my issue and so you can all feel sorry for me also. Import compliance was organised through "X" and I have collected car minus engineers certificate ($650) Car was booked in for Registration 3 days after I picked up car and was advised by "X" that I would have certificate in time for Registration. Registration has come and gone... booking has been lost ($32) I have not heard from "X" in the last 4 Days. I have now decided to go elsewhere and get engineering done and will be spending approx. $1200 to $1700 to get car engineered and RWC issued. This is all going to take TIME and I will also most probably have to forfit my Sandown Track Day on 17th ($85) that I have paid for and also miss out on the CRUSE on 16th (no financial issue but still annoying) So, I am now out of pocket $767 and will need to spend alot more to get car on the road... I have a contract with "X" and would like your judgment on options A and B. A. Ask for all out of pocket expences (in a nice manner, if I can get through to "X") B. Take legal action (probaly not worth it and I seriously CBF dealing with "X" any longer) I rest my case.

Is there any way to attend if car is not registered? What is a RP rego or CH? I got this form Vic Roads website, does tis get covered in our membership fees? http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrne/vrnint...nDocument&Area=[Online+Information+%26+Services] Look at club permits. Can't upload for some reason... probably because I'm using my Mac @ work?

Unless I can get my enginerring certificate by then I don't think I will be able to make it. Have been let down BIG TIME by people who imported my car. I'm starting the whole process again through another mob. Was really looking forward to it.

Looks like my car will not be ready at this rate... have picked it up from engineer but no certificate. Can I still drive on the track day if it has not been registered yet? It says something about it only being elegable for registration to race on the form? I have sent in all forms and bought all my gear (helmet, fire ext.)

I have just recently pumped mine to 38psi - they were kina flat and it was the first time I had to pump em up. Ride previous @ around 28psi was alot smoother but I have found that at higher psi it has better handeling (can really feel all the bumps) but thats also because of the Tien HA set-up. I have also been told... My last car I fitted Perelli P7000's (215 x 40 x 17) I had them pumpede to 45psi because they had a MAX of 50psi anyway these tyres only lasted 15000km's B4 they were well and truely stuffed, when I went to the place that sold em to me they said I should have only pumped them around 30 - 35psi to increase life of tyres - sacrifice performance? how much I'm not sure.

Wrote a whole life story then thought stuff it... most of it has been stated already in previous threads. I'm now 24 and 10mths old... just about to get married and just bought a GTR (that I paid for myself) I can understand the reaction to P's and powerful cars and in light of what happened today I would say that the laws in place are fine with me (I think I have had one of the most severe ass rams by VIC ROADS licencing laws) I will be 25 and 4 mths by the time I get on my full licence ( I have found that with P's on I would get pulled over much more than without.. so I take the risk and drive without, I would rather get dicked once a blue moon and pay fine than every fark'en week and keep riding this merry-go-round of extra months put on my P's (I have not put up my P's since 2001 and have only been pulled over twice in that time >. B4 that I was getting jacked every month without fail (not doing anything wrong "just a routine check sir") Enough rant from me but this shit that happened could not have come at a worse time for all Skyline drivers and the majority of owner's who value their licence, cars and life!

Back to square 1... Failed my RWC today + still have no Engineering certificate also... my Registration was booked in for tomorrow. Not going well at the moment. Driving the car with the standard feels like I got BIG MUMMA LISA is sitting in the back seat and they also chucked on a resinator about the size of 3 melways stacked on top of each other. Inark.. I will send you a PM for the roadworthy place.... this list was given to me by RWC place to get fixed / looked at. External wastegate Drilled rear rotors have hairline cracks (common for drilled rotors yeh?) Turbo Timer (easy fix) Horn (because it was stolen by shipping co. - also easy fix) Battery clamp (original battery went flat and could not hold a charge so bought a new one, smaller - easy fix) Tank exhaust sheild to close to my milo tin (easy fix) I pick the good ones don't I... Thanks for your help and advice so far... I'm starting to hate my car and I've only driven it about 45km TOTAL.
-
Can add this to your list - I'm a purchase officer + I fang a forklift around the warehouse every now and then (work for an IT company... but I have NO IT skills at all...ironic) BTW it's also the largest IT co. in southern hemisphere. more ironic... so does this put me in IT? No offence, but I hope not.

If it has already been registered in VIC by previous owner than it not such a drama. Normal procedure I think. Only if it's first time registration then you need: DOTARS import approval RWC Proof of ownership (Invoice for car) Engineering Certificate And a bit of luck on your side...

No go with the pick up tonight... been advised not pick it up with no signature. Will try tomorrow after some discussion with ppl's involved. Now it's Friday and I'm going to get well and truly F**KED UP at the pub and hopefully it will make me feel a bit better... Hope ya'll have a good weekend. EDIT: PS >> I don't drive as I have no Farking car... so it's all good for me. Don't drink and drive.

Good ideas (QLD or SYD) but CNBF at all and I don't have an endless budget to transport car interstate and back + I want my GTR registered by Tuesday... It's been farken 4 months since I paid for the thing and I sold my other car a few months ago (I hate Public Transport) I have had an offer in the Vic section for some standard Turbos but thats also Farked because it a huge job plus I need a few bits for the conversion...also could not be farked but it's the best offer so far.... I'm going to go have another cry now
-
Thanks heaps, I will hold out until Monday and see if ppl's organising this can work out a less ball breaking solution to my problem. Will let you know if I have no other options as I think it would be a big job to do the conversion. Thanks again...

Ni, You got a RB26DETT sitting in your Cheffy doing nothing at the moment? What's it worth to you if I do a swap for certificate (Turbos only) and you can hold on to the T78 as insurance? It a long shot but need as many options as possible at the moment... I'm picking up the car @ 1pm TODAY. If you are interested I have started a thread in Importing and Regulations section with some interesting info on the situation: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=52369

As understand its not the turbo itself, its the emmisions not being the same levels as a twin set up... this making it a EPA issue? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would have not been able to import it under DOTARS if they had an issue with the T78 (fark it's BIG ) Do you think I would be able to remove Turbo all together and run it as NA get certificate and the just bolt it back on again. What a hassel but it may work?

OK looks like I will be buying a CAT! Got another problem now... I am picking up my GTR from the engineering place tomorrow >> the dude has done all the work and has said that he will not sing my certificate because of the T78... why start the job when you won't finish it? Has anyone got any ideas on how to get around this one? So far I have been told that if I take it to another engineering place they will need to start over again. I already have a bill for $700 for what he has done >> minus the farken certificate which is $400. On top of that I have already booked it in for RWC on Monday and Registration at VIC roads on Tuesday. I need this certificate in the next 3 days...HELP

Looking forward to it. Any idea on where and what time it will kick off from yet?

Holy s**t $5000 - $10000 I know of ppl who are theifs and crims who get fines less than that. You don't get such a big fine for trafficing drugs. My left and right are at odds with each other at the moment (environmental issue)... you think of all the 5000+ old trucks that spew black dirty CO2 all day every day, the heavty industry that have no concern for the environment and majority of ppl that don't keep their cars tuned + the fact that cats only work for a limited amount of time and we have no laws to get them checked (just pay your rego and go) then I do not feel so bad if I do go 4" straight through, but then I will probably go to hell for it?
-
Thinking now after compliance and Vic Roads registration is done just removing standard all together and putting straight pipe in again and a heat sheild that looks like a cat around the 4' (that was how the set up came from Japan) I love the environment (think I will go hug a tree at lunch time) but seriously, don't cats (standard or hi flow) lose all there anti-polution quality on performance cars anyway after not much time at all? Whats the worst thing that could happen if a clue'ie cop was to spot it?

Try putting it in the normal Vic section for a while (even though it does not belong, I'm sure more ppl will look at the thread). I never used to look at the events section (just habbit I suppose) Remove reply if required.
