Will the oil pump fit my R32 GTR? - is it an N1 pump?

Peter, long time no type / speak. I remember at the last club meeting I attended I had a good chat to ylwgtr2 about the problems I was having after PI - he hit the nail on the head and said DONT DRIVE IT, get it checked out ASAP - what did I do... take it on a drive to Lakes Entrance that weekend and the rest is history. After he slaps me around the head a few times... How much you reckon he will charge to knife edge my crank shaft? Is it balanced and polished after also?

How much? Are they new? Brand? I was thinking of getting the Arias for $1070 + GST

I have had the pistons measured @ 86.5 (aftermarket) and nores to 86.7mm or there abouts - the motor had larger pistons placed in prior to me getting the car from Japan (I'm still to find out what else has been done to it, it will be stipped down over the next week or so)

Hi, It's been ages since I have posted on the forum... I need some advise to get my car back on the road. Please excuse if I get the jargon incorrect, I will try to be as accurate as possible. A while back (cough.. 4 months) I munched piston #6 After investigation (first time head has come off) all pistons are @ 86.5mm - cylinder #6 has a score to 86.7mm. (more on the thrust side if that makes a difference) Now, I have been told that it may not be good idea to bore to 87mm on the RB26??? Also been told that sleeving can disrupt or distort cylinder #5 - can someone please give me advise on this and if it is possible. My other option is to get a new or second hand block? Is this worth while or can my engine be saved as is? Arias have a pistons up to 87mm Thanks in advance. Robin

Just as most have stated, can you afford the upkeep of a GTR - I'm one of those who fall in the catagory of can but can't if that makes sense? In the first 12 months of having my GTR I have thrown about 6-7k into it that was not planned for or worked into my car budget effecting all other budgets and so on... I'm behind the eight ball because of this car. But would not even consider the purchase of either a GTR or GTST - GTR all the way!

Yeah, I was watching most of the afternoon nursing a massive hangover in the shade (under the big grand stand) and your car looked like it was only puting out 50% if that. Any problems on the day? Troy, did you have a skid mark at the end of the front straight? I saw you brake a lil late on one lap and left a puff of smoke, was it a close call? Not so good watching as driving, really started getting depressed half way through the day thinking about my baby all sick at home (car that is)

I went down to pick mine up straight from the docks/transport depot - all I needed was the import approval form and my shipping consignment note and I drove away. Mine was also sitting in the yard and I rang and they said it would take 4-5 days for delivery, I'm like... it's only 30k's away... see you in 45min.

Can't wait for the pic's - I have also seen the Soarer around - Bobby, you said he sold it yeah? It was an animal... one day driving down Burwood Hwy he was egging me on and I pulled up behind at the lights... man that thing could move. And the way it steped out sideways off the line was awsome!
