Just what I needed - hopefully there are no Tx5's on the day to whip my ass! I'm in for now... will get my shit together early and hopefully stay the weekend also
-
Nothing wrong with the engine... just needs a catch can installed (bought one on Sunday) With the T78 the dump pipe is quite exposed so all the oil that would of gone in the catch can or re-directed on a standard RB26 set up was spitting/flowing directly on the pipe and what a show... heaps of smoke. Looked like a Cheech and Chong Movie Installing the catch can when I get some time later in the week or B4 next track day... I'm going to all the track days I can... hooked BAD! Driving home all I could think about was... should have done this...should have done that... why did I sit out the Super Sprint...how fustrating.

My best time was a 2.11 (not happy with that) Only got out 3 times and black flagged on my last run. Very happy to get on the track at last and give it a go. I will need lots more track time to improve skills and style cos I can't drive... obviously. I need bigger... you know...BALLS! I was blowing heaps of smoke (no catch can - straight onto dump pipe) down the straights each time I went out, was very concerning to see the cabin fill up with smoke... Most of the other guys were flying. Most were in the 1.55 to 2.05 (even first time out @ PI) Snowy got a 1.48 give or take. Had a look on WRX.com for times - not posted yet?

Not nice news... strange nothing taken, probably kids out over long weekend entertaining themselves. Look on the bright side, nothing taken and you will probably be cleaning you office on Tuesday when everyone else is back to work...
-
Can someone post up either Troy, Snowy, Adz mobile numbers regarding PI tonight - or send me a PM - I will only be able to head out of town by 8.30pm if at all. May end up meeting @ 7am with JAG and Ferni???????????? Fark'en work!
-
Will they be open @ 6.00pm? Probaly not. I will only be able to get this stuff after work and I'm in Burwood... not close to North Melb. at all. Any other places? Got the nod from the woman:) see you all later tonight. JAGR33 and Ferni - will not be able to meet in the morning.
-
Who's house can I crash in? Is there any other accomdation close by if needed? Sorry for being so unorganised, I will be coming down tonight... woman wants to come too but only finishes work @ 9.00pm tonight so will probably leave her @ home or she can come down later in the night to meet up? So, how many spots remaining?

It's been serviced once B4 and I do, whenever possible put Octane Boost in with every fill (and you can really notice the difference... but still blows heaps of smoke on high boost) Shopping for goodies on lunch break or straight after work. Troy, I will pick up some brake fluid as I also need some (did anyone see my levels @ the GP - just below the min. line? Not sure when or how... probably teh fang back from Apollo Bay?) Is there a certain shop that sells it or can you grab that stuff anywhere? Hope to see you tonight... still have not asked the boss, bit cranky this morning

Will let you know in the morning / afternoon. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...184#post1245184

I will need to ask the boss lady about staying the night:( Probably get there by about 7:30 - 8:00 if I leave work on time and do my shopping real quick...

Maserati Club Autumn Track Day - Sandown - 10 April
RTFGTR replied to Ronin 09's topic in Archived Events
I will also attend... depending if car holds together @ PI this weekend. Sending form in week after PI -
OK. Just got home and I seriously doubt that I will find anyone willing to do the work with such short notice + I will only be able to do such a thing after hours... flat out @ work:( Any ppl you know who could accomodate such a request? I will be doing basics tomorrow night. Shopping for Plugs, Oil, Filters, Brake fluid etc... and hopefully have it all done in a resonable time to get up for the 7am meet with JAGR33. I'm currently 800km's over 5000 service point. I'm a novice in every way including the simple things above and if anyone is willing I would appreciate a hand - I'll buy the beer!

Bad luck Geoff... bad luck. Not nice to hear at all. My car has had no tune since in Oz and suffers from a smoky cloud in the rear when on boost... should I really be doing the track stuff yet in your or anyone else's opinion? It drives nice and I drive it every day... no problems yet (knock on wood)
-
I'm in. Where? I will need a Melways ref. as I do not know that area well. Also, I will send you my Mob's via PM just in case.
-
I was blowing smoke out of my a##, seriously, I would be happy to make it around the track without blowing something up and any time even near 2.00 I suspect I will be boot-scooting anyways:) Ferni: I have TOYO R1R semi's on the back (80%) and Hankook streets on the front (95%). You reckon since its going to be a dry track I get the semi's put back on the front tomorrow arvo? (50%-60% remaining) Will it make that much difference? Also got TIEN HA's that I have never touched (don't laugh but the twisty thing in the cabin and boot to adjust set up... I would not have a clue how to use... booklet is in Jap!) maybe one of you fella's could educate a brother on such things over the weekend? Driver exp= 0.00 never been anywhere near a track (have been to Sandown to watch once... even watching gave me butterfiles

Who is going down on Saturday morning? Where are you meeting (if meetimng at all) and what time? Post above: my fingers are producing cheques that my skills can't cash! Nice to dream though.
-
My boss is saying he has done it in 1.55 in a worked VL turbo. No, he is not wogdafied - aussie boy from the sticks. My goal is to beat that time, and not the car.
-
Rang Stephen Dean to confirm and he said I can make payment @ the track since a cheque would not get there in time and I do not have any CC's (self inflicted) Can't wait now:)
-
Faxing form off today - You guys are putting butterflies in my gut thinking about turn 1. I read the hole thread from start to finish last night - can't stop thinking about how much you PI experts are going to laugh at me chugging along

SAU Vic General Meeting - Tuesday 15th March 2005 **NEW LOCATION**
RTFGTR replied to adznight's topic in Archived Events
That would be awesome! In your professional opinion, how good did the majority of the photo's turn out? -
Happy Birthday Ni

Faxing form off in morning (don't have a fax @ home) - is it to late? Snowy said it was midnight tonight.

Screamers only scream at the very high end of boost so getting the split dump pipe to be discrete should not be required driving around town - just get the screamer and it will only scream when YOU want it to... it's not like your going to be on high boost driving around every day? If I run on low boost .7bar the screamer does sound more like a fanny fart than anythng else... sounds wicked @ 1.7bar My car gets to scream only a few times a week if that, it does not make a peep otherwise. (BTW - my car comes on boost @ 5100 - high boost @ around 8800)
