  2. i figured out that i did it as i was tightening the bolt as i have done it to another....sigh, would this be because i have the wrong thermostat in there? I was sold is dayco DT19E-BP does any one know if this the correct part number from dayco? regards Aphexcloud
  3. Hey Guys and Gals I am in a spot of bother as it is the night before new years eve and i as replacing my thermostat (as my car overheated today and it seemed to go open after it got realy realy hot cool back down close then heat back up.) 4. Hi All i did the relay a week ago now and all is fine no more strange noise now sounds and runs fine Thank you all for your replys
  5. cheers for the advise. I know who to do the wiring i didn't think it would need as i found a tutorial of someone just using the straight wiring so thats what i did, but will be garbing a relay and i have some spare thick speaker wire here that should do the trick
  6. Oh realy so should i have a relay switching a direct feed from the battery?
  7. Hi All, i recently changed my fuel pump out for a walbro gs342 (which i found as i was doing the pump it already had one) i changed it because i was making a strange whining noise so i thought it was dead but when i changed it to the new one it made the same noise... but now it has gotten worse as now after i have driven the car for a while and i come to a set of lights (idle) it hunts and goes to die (taking off is a pain to till i get to 20~kph) i have attached a clip of the sound it is making. ps: this all started after i had the car towed cause it ruptured a fuel hose in the tank(stupid previous owner didn't know the difference between carby and efi fuel hose) regards aphex r33 fuel pump.mp3
  8. cheers for the reply have replaced fuel filter and chucked a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank (improved cold weather driving)still surges when hot after a freeway trip to work going to change out fuel pump this weekend and drop from 9 psi to 7 psi (have been going down trying to find the sweet spot). @gtsboy you obviously don't know what a ACRONYM is because pleasantly asking what an ACRONYM means is not as you call it "pathetic-forum-leaching-Generation-Y-instant-gratification-don't-want-to-do-anything-for-myself Skyline owners' dads didn't even have hair on their balls back then."which is just grossly insulting as you don't know my generation nor my background. When someone asks a question about something that has been posted in their thread especially some elaboration on what shortened term is NOT lazy it is just information gartering. ps: plattsy answered the question perfectly and guess what telling Someone what an acronym means in not doing someone eals's work for them it is just elaborating on something that COULD mean any number of different things IE: reject and retard, remove and replace any number of different meanings......... regards aphex
  9. @gtsboy R&R is rich and retard. which was all i was asking not for a description as to what it does i am capable of reading and understanding what is written cheers
  10. i wasn't looking for an explanation. i was wondering what does the Acronym mean... so i could do some research on it
  11. cheers all, i have cleaned maf sensor with ecc it improved the issue a little but it is still there. any 1 have any ideas on how to free the stuck rubber hose on the fuel filter (tried bottle nose pliers but don't want to munch the fuel hose) it looks as if it has been on there a while i also have injector cleaner but dont want to use it till i have a fresh fuel filter in there. have found the issue is evident in low gears under accel (any) once in 4th-5th at 80km/h-100km/h it will pull fine ps. what does RnR stand for? regards andreas
  12. cheers all for the reply's i have dialled it back to 10 psi and it has improved but is still there. When hot the vehicle hesitates/surges i have tried 98 and 100 ron fuel i thought it might be a battery problem so i replaced to no avail will pick some contact cleaner for the maf and a fuel filter as well as some sparks tonight mods: sh*$y drift boost controller, stock BOV, stock intercooler, pod filter PS: the vehicle smells very rich after snapping the throttle open regards aphex
  13. Hi all new to the forums and owning a skyline(first one) i had an issue the second day of ownership was very unhappy jan, but it turned out to be that the previous owner had decided to use carby fuel hose from the pump to the top of the fuel tank instead of using proper efi hose and it burst in the tank, had that fixed and now when i am at WOT i feel a bit of surging (the car is manual(converted)) and is running 12-13 psi of boost (bought like this) std intercooler car came with a exhaust haven't had time to measure or check brand i am going to try turning down boost before exhaust wheel shits its self but wondering if any one had any other ideas as to what could be causing this regards aphex
