The US servers can play up a little with a few Australians racing in the same sessions, but I'll be using the Aus severs for the 'SViRC' so all should be fine
-
Whats your name on iRacing and I'll add you to the series
-
No, the series won't effect SR or IR. It can take a bit of practice but well worth it I raced for around a year and a half before I stated seeing my times drop
-
Just sent you a league request on iRacing
-
The SRF is great, love the thing, toss up between that and the MX5 Roadster for me in this series.
-
The new iRacing build is great, your right the tyre models are a lot better than they used to be!
-
Awesome Chris! Just head to the league page on iRacing.com and join up, I'll add you today
-
Hey Andrew, thanks for joining the series! Have added you to the league and will send you a friend request later today over iRacing. Thanks Look forward to seeing you on track
-
Hope you get that control working and that we'll see you on race night

Trying the first Wednesday of every month for now, so looking at the 4th of June from 8pm. Here is the Facebook link to the event - https://www.facebook.com/events/569451479823332/?ref=2&ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming Fist round will be at Lime Rock Park - prac-quali-20 lap race If you need any help finding the league or anything else about the series send me a message or post here and I'll lend a hand best I can. Should be a fun series, hope to see you there!

Deposits can be made through SAU (contact me for details) or directly to Clarence by sending him a PM. A tow rope and big 4X4 should get the Skyline there

Have just found Brass Monkey is also available on Android devices from Google play
-
I'm running a pretty standard $300 computer, only thing good about it is the graphics card. You only really need high end if your wanting super high detail on every little thing in the game. As for a steering wheel, many top iRacers use a simple $20 dollar thrustmaster wheel, you can now even use iPad or iPhone with an app called brass monkey using the ipad as a controller. So there are heaps of options out there to allow people to race The cars in the series are the Mazda MX5 Cup, Mazda MX5 Roadster, Pontiac Solstice and the Ford spec Racer. These cars have fairly comparable lap times and are also cars that are included in your memebership when you join iRacing. The tracks in the series are Lime Rock Park (USA), Okayama (JAP), Laguna Seca (USA) and Summit Point (USA). Again these tracks are included in the iRacing Membership.

If you have ever wanted to race on a track but didn’t want the heartache of crashing you daily or just can’t seem to find the funds at the right time then this series may be for you! The ‘SAU Vic iRacing Championship’ is a virtual race series played on the premiere race simulator – iRacing. Offering laser scanned real world tracks, various race breed vehicles and almost flawless driving physics iRacing gives a fun yet challenging experience at an affordable price. With a focus on race craft and safe driving it gives new comers to racing a great insight to motorsport without the sometimes costly repairs or even worse personal injuries, while allowing veterans to practice and hone their racing technique when not racing in the real world. Even V8 Supercar drivers such as Shane van Gisbergen or Arrie Maree from the Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship now use iRacing as a way to practice their skills for real world racing. To join the ‘SAU Vic iRacing Championship’ all you need is an account with iRacing and have a steering wheel or gamepad, then search the league directory for the ‘SAU Vic iRacing Championship’ and click on the ‘join’ button. Membership to the site is very affordable at only $13 a month (AUD/USD rate dependent), much cheaper than panel beating or a new gearbox! When you join you are given everything necessary to race in the ‘SAU Vic iRacing Championship’, there are no other purchases needed to compete. There will also be trophies for the top drivers 3 at series end. The series is run like a normal real world race series – SERIES RULES - Point system – Top 10 drivers receive points. 1st gets 10 points >>> 10th gets 1 point Practice (40mins) – Qualifying (20mins) – Race 20 laps (approx. 30-35mins) Reckless and unfair racing will incur after race penalties. Look like I'm not going to be able to do my DT till later in the year, the rims I bought ended up being the wrong offset (would have been handy if the skyline owner I bought them from told me this!) and I have had to use spacers so no go on track for me But am working on my BMW with RB conversion with hope to have it up and running by the end of the year (even if it just putts along! ). But if there is anything along the lines of helping out for any of the track days please give me a yell.

Been to a few events but not enough I guess. But have asked a bit where I can help out where needed, but as I said everything is done by the time I ask! Just need to get out more
