Well that was a pretty awesome day all round!!! Thanks to everyone who came down today, not only the drivers but all you awesome spectators as well! And thanks also to to guys at Foresite Training in Laverton for having us great to have you helping SAU Vic by getting behind home grown motorsport. And as always to the ever faithful SAU Vic helpers and members without whom these events would run as smoothly as they do. We love putting on these events and love seeing pics from them almost as much so if you have any post away and show us how you saw the day. Hope to see some, if not all of you again soon at one of our upcoming events

As an added incentive for those of you coming to one of our motorkhanas for the first time, the SAU Vic committee will be choosing a "rookie" to receive a free invite to our next event at DECA. The committee will take into account the times, style and sportsmanship when choosing the winner. This is a great chance for anyone coming for their first motorkhana experience. If you’re wanting to take part whether it be the first time or one of many, head to the first post on this thread for more info and entry details.

For something a little different this month our monthly meet is going to be a night cruise. Something else different is the date. This time it will be held a little later in the month compared to our usually monthlies. More info on meeting place closer to the date, but be assured this will be a great cruise showing one of the older routes SAU Vic used to take. You need to be a member to take part in this cruise but if your not and would just like to come and see what SAU Vic is like then take advantage of our day membership for people wanting to take part in SAU Vic cruises. All it takes is to fill out a quick form on the day letting us know who you are and pay a gold coin day membership fee and then come a cruising! All money raised from this event will be given at the end of the year to the Royal Children Hospital Christmas Appeal.

Just looking at the Supp Regs (http://www.wrx.com.au/resources/Documents/Motorsport/2016/Round%202%20-%20Calder/2016%20Round%202%20Calder%20Supp%20Regs.pdf) it says - DRIVER ELIGIBILITY All drivers must hold a current AASA license or CAMS Level 2S license or higher. So might be a good idea to look into one of those soon so they have time to send it out. Good luck and hope to see you there

There will be barriers between cars and spectators, here is some info from the F1 Motorsport & Entertainment Department who are running the Automotive Avenue - - The vehicles on display will have rope and pole barrier positioned around them to prevent patrons from touching the vehicles during the event. However, it is the responsibility of each owner to ensure that no patron approaches their car during the event. Some clubs provide an ‘onsite’ support person to manage this process, as well as being able to provide information on the Car Club. - Roving security will be in place during each event day and night in the area of each Automotive Avenue location. - There will be no coverage provided to the cars from rain or dust, however, each owner has the option to cover their vehicle during the course of the night. All covers are to be removed prior to gate opening the next morning, which occurs at approximately 10.30am on each day of the event.

We will be looking at a heap of different cars Adrian so feel free to send us some details if your keen

We hope you all enjoyed our day Big thanks goes to Shockworks for their support of the day. Also thanks to CAMS Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, Penrite Oil, Burson Auto Parts and FAMOUS for Car & Bike Enthusiasts for supporting the day also. And almost the biggest thanks goes to the volunteers, marshals and all those that made this day as good as it was and without them and their time none of this would be possible.
