Hey guys, I have another switch question. I picked up my S2 Manual Stagea and have seen a switch on the dash which is to the right of the steering wheel. It has a pic of the windscreen and wiper and also looks like it has a wavey water level at the bottom of it. If I press it the only this it does light up an orange light on the switch itself. Sorry if its hard to explain and my camera is buggered at the moment. The switch also is not an on / off switch. if you press it down it will flick back up and the light will come on and if you press it again it flicks back up and the light turns off but it doesnt seem to do anything. Im assuming it has something to do with the windscreen of washer bottle but I have no idea what it would do! Cheers Dave p.s. I am loving the stagea!!! I had no idea they were so nice to drive!

There is a manual black series 2 at ssv in Melbourne which an exhaust and twin sunroofs, they are a little pricey there but I guess you can have them inspected, they have a warranty and you can test drie them before purchase. I am picking up mine tomorrow (pearl White) but they were both very high quality cars! My white one is in amazing condition!

I have contacted a couple of Alarm installers and they can use the factory remote key, which is the only reason I am looking for another place to buy one. If it wasnt possible I would just use the alarms own remote. The systems I was quoted do not come with remotes themselves and will only work with the nissan key as the piggy back off the nissan system. It is a great way if you want to keep the stock keys. However if they are hard to come by or stupidly expensive then I will just get a stand alone system. Cheers

No I wanted to keep the factory remote as it is part of the key..

Yeah its not a big deal but I just wanted the aftermarket alarm to work with the factory key, I know im being anal but I didn't want to have the factory remote key and also and alarm remote. If I could I want to just the factory system just with an alarm piggy backed off it, and I could just buy another key for it but I have no idea here to find them.

Hey all, My Stagea has factory keyless entry from the nissan key itself. Does anyone know where I could buy another key with the lock and unlock buttons? Sould I just try Nissan? Are they similar to any other nissan key? Cheers Dave

I have used the Blitz ID3 on a couple of car.. It is brilliant and with its screen you dont need a boost guage as well

Thanks buddy... I was told that the plate will be done over night and then he just needs to take it to VICroads.. So i guess i just have to wait until the paperwork is ready.. It gives me the shits a little but i guess thats life. I hadn't realised till it was to late that the paperwork had not been sent yet, the car was in the yard for a while and they didnt even send the paperwork until it was sold! It doesnt make sense to me.

Sorry if i seem ignorant but Im not that clued up with the importing process.. I bought a car from a yard which already had all the compliance work done here in melbourne, all they have to do is send off the papers and wait for a reply which i was told would take about 2 weeks in total before i was driving the car. Is this not the case currently?? The papers were sent a week ago.. Cheers

Yeah im thinking GTRS at the moment. I had an R33 in the past with a HKS 2535 running 244rwkw and it was amazing how responsive and punchy the car was... there was stuff all lag and it just pulled!!! If it were another skyline then i would go GTRS, the only reason i am thinking about the larger turbo is because I dont know if i am going to be happy with the 250 - 260 rwkw the GTRS will produce in a heavier car.. I'm happy to spend the right money on the right setup but i just dont want to spend the money and take the GTRS to its capacity then realise I want more... Does anyone have any 1/4 mile times with different turbos and dyno graphs?? terminal speeds etc???

thats what I was thinking the GTRS but there are more things to consider with the Stagea as being AWD there is no issue with traction so something like a HKS 3037 may be an option or a large garrett GT3040 etc, but I'm thinking GTRS as with the added weight the larger turbos may be even laggier than they would be on a skyline.

I will be modifying the stagea... ther only decisions im going to have to make is which turbo and ecu.. Im thinking PFC.. but Im not sure if ill go HKS GTRS or something like a GT30?? What do you guys think?? are the GT30's really laggy? I mean in the Stagea do you really notice the extra lag because they are so heavy?

Cheers guys, The dealer am going to happens to have an Autech there but I'm wanting this car to be a comfortable daily not a handful like the GTO.. I really want to get the Autech but I can help myslef and within a few months it would have new turbos, ecu, injectors etc!!! And I just dont know if it is the best car to just jump in and clock up km in. The way I am looking at it is that the Neo is cheaper and newer (update look and interior) and with the extra cash I can install the performance mods and hopefully have it quicker than a stock Autech and still have money in my pocket. Rememeber I have a few nice performance parts at home from my old Skyline. I'm quite happy about the PFC working though, does anyone know where you can get them from these days?? I saw Nengun have them advertised but are they still available as the prices looked quite cheap! It would be bloody nice though!! Dave

Guys how does the PFC react to the GTR gearbox and 4x4?? Are there any long term issues assosiated with this mod and the driveline?? Does the GTR PFC control the Atessa in anyway and if so I would asume the GTT PFC wouldn't do the same job? Cheers Dave
