  1. Hi guys, just thought I'd say thanks to everyone who came along on the day. We run quite a few Dyno Days here at RTR and that was one of the most enjoyable and best supported by club members I've seen in some time, plus the different types of cars makes it interesting for everyone. And we couldn't have asked for better weather! Appologies to those 5 that arrived on the day and signed up only to find that they didnt have their car put on the rollers due to time constraints, yes the R35's do take a fair amount of time to strap down which always hurts with so many people there waiting. If we had known about the extra numbers prior to starting, we would have started an hour earlier and not stopped for lunch allowing everyone who wants some dyno time. Still, a good day all and all. If I can make a suggestion for next time, those with R34 GTR's we'd advise removal of the rear splitter prior to the day. Also of note, making sure your car is ready and safe for the dyno. There was one car yesterday that had tyre wear bad enough to expose large sections of steel belts! Thanks again to everyone that came along, both spectators and participants alike, it made for a great day. Regards, Dan McCoy
  2. Your right, it's better.
  3. No broken pipes, but there is an abundant water supply if required. There is a slight gradient of 2° across the skid pan to allow for water to gently roll down the full face of the pan rather than having some areas dry yet other areas pooling water. It's a well designed driver training centre. Light's are to be the next thing fitted ( evening skid pan work anyone? ) which is something different I think. While it's true there is no highway circuit like that of DECA attached, there are plenty of race tracks around VIC for those wanting to participate in motorsport in an environment like a circuit. Sandown being the closest to Melbourne. However, unlike DECA it's not a 2 hour drive from Melbourne for those wanting to have some fun and sharpen driver skills in a safe environment like a skid pan.
  4. Hey guys, I was pointed to this thread my a member here. Just so you know, the skidpan has full council approval for driving training just like that of DECA and will opperate in like manner. During the week it will be used for truck and bus training, during the weekends it will be used for cars just as DECA is right now.
