  1. I don't think you can get E85 in Perth yet, but i think i'll just end up going with 650cc-850cc injectors. where'd you find the intake pipe?
  2. What mods have you done to your car george?
  3. I'm not sure what sort of power my is currently making, but i guess it's probably a bit under 200rwkw? So i think i'd be pretty happy with 280rwkw. If i went with the PU 0.82 hiflowed turbo, new injectors, z32 and a tune. it would be good for around 280rwkw? Later on down the track if i wanted more, would i be able to just change the manifold and get an ext wastegate, right?
  4. What would i need to do to get around 280-300rwkw z32 650cc injectors low mount manifold with an external wastegate turbo? What turbo should i be looking at for that?
  5. Haha sorry, I did mean turbo. I have an Apexi power fc ecu, and there are a couple of tuners around Perth that tune them, So i'd stick with that, So i guess i'd need a Z32 What would the 650cc injectors be good to? Also, what about dump pipes and that sort of thing?
  6. Thanks, I don't really know anything about injectors, what size would you recommend? Or is it dependant on the size of the turbo? I'm not after that much more power, i still want the car to be reliable, well, as reliable as a skyline can be. Any turbos/injectors you'd recommend looking at? Or informative threads. Edit: Does anyone know much about the Hypergear hiflow exhausts?
  7. Sorry, i should of listed the modifications, Apexi ecu Front mount intercooler Sard fuel pressure regulator Walbro 550 fuel pump Blitz Electronic boost controller H&R coil overs An aftermarket clutch has also been fitting by the previous owner, i'm not sure what type. It does feel pretty tight and firm though. What do you think i should do from here? Z32 and new injectors?
  8. Hey everyone, It seems a few of the manifold studs have snapped, as theres is a really loud exhaust leak from the engine bay, So i've decived i'll take it in and get a few other things replaced/fixed at the same time exhaust manifold rocker cover gaskets possibly rear wheel bearings I'm just wondering if theres anything else i should look at having done while the exhaust manifold gets done, cause i'm guessing the turbo and everything will have to come out? good time for a turbo upgrade?
  9. I'm having the same sort of problem, car won't idle, misfires, heaps of black smoke. I haven't even tried to drive it, won't hold revs. The day before i took the coil packs out and taped them up, to fix a miss at boost, which it did fix. gave it a bit of a hiding and the next day it wouldn't run. just put a brand new set of yellow jackets in there, changed plugged, can't find any cooler leaks or vaccuum leaks. cleaned the maf just about ready to try get it towed to a mechanic
  10. I'm going to assume it's a series 1.5, series 1 body, series 2 engine. Just want to try and make sure before i spend 4-500 on a new set of coil packs.
  11. I know that, i'm wondering if theres a difference between the S2 coil loom and the r34 neo loom? As the loom on my car looks exactly like the loom for the neo, but i can't find any pictures of a S2 loom.
  12. How can i tell what motor it is?
  13. So i've got a series 1 gtst skyline, and i've been having some trouble lately with the car blowing a heap of black smoke, and not idling. I had pulled the coil packs out and taped them up the night before (which fixed the miss) but the next morning the car wouldnt idle and is just running really rough, too rough to try drive anywhere. I checked all the intercooler pipes, and could't find any leaks. I picked up a second hand set of series 1 spitfires, with the loom. the loom is a lot different to mine, and doesn't fit, and the spitfires don't fit into my loom. So i'm guessing someones put a series 2 engine in there? Basically i'm just wondering what the series two loom looks like, and if theres anyway i can make these spitfires work with it. The series 1 loom has a long skinny connector that connects to an ignitor mounted ontop of the cover right? This is what mine looks like That one is apparently from an r34 rb25det neo
  14. Hey guys, can i get a check on this ECR33057734 thanks.

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap set of second hand working coil packs to buy, or even to borrow if your in perth, just so i can check if it's the coil packs that have failed.
  16. cleaned the afm and that made a little difference, hopefully i'll be able to get a hold of some coil packs over the weekend. i'll check the pcv valve as well. Any other suggestions as to what to check? i'm pretty sure theres no leaks in the cooler pipes, i guess there could be a tiny crack in a weld that i've missed or something.
  17. I've checked all the intercooler pipes found one that was alittle loose, ended up taking it all apart, a lot of oil in and crud in them. the whole inside of all the pipes is covered in oil, not enough to pool out or drip, but every bit of pipe is covered in black oily soot, that you can scrape off. i don't know if thats normal? i've read a little bit is normal. So i've put it all back together nice and tight, still running the same, sounds a little bit better maybe. I took the spark plugs out today, pitch black, so i put a new set of spark plugs in there, didn't change anything, took one of them out to check and it was pitch black, motor only ran for about half a minute. i guess thats just due to the fact it's running so rough/rich. it's also blowing unburnt fuel out of the exhaust, and really black smoke. I can borrow a second coil pack tomorrow and see if that makes any difference. i tried pulling one of the leads at a time, couldn't hear any difference at all, unplug about 3/4 of them and i can hear a difference, so maybe they are stuffed? someone mentioned it could be the fuel pump/fuel pressure regulator, but it seems as though the engine is getting enough fuel, just not enough spark? so frustrating. thanks for your help guys.
  18. Now i actually have serious problems. Car starts, but acts like it's only running on 4/5 cylinders. injduty is at 4.5, ignition timing is at 23 degrees (i swear it's normally 15 degrees) I did give it a bit of a thrashing yesterday, running 12 psi (is when the knock read 75) on the drive home the normal sucking noise the engine makes under acceleration sounded really tired, idk. like louder and tired. Now i guess it could be that one or two of the coil packs had just died, a fouled up spark plug? i'll have a look at the spark plugs, but i'm not sure how i would check the coil packs? some people have mentioned the fuel pump might be on the way out? this would cause a knock as well, wouldn't it? the other thing is, i start the engine, small amounts of smoke come up from the turbo side of the engine, (exhaust leak?) and it blows so much smoke out of the back, but i guess that's just because it's running so rough? I've just got no idea what to check, and i can't afford to get it towed anywhere any ideas?
  19. Oh okay, that's good. Any recommendations on where to take it? I'm in Rockingham, but i'm not bothered about traveling.
  20. Sorry for the double post, With a tune, i've never had it tuned, but the previous owner told me he had to tuned by cypher. I assume seeing as though cypher has closed down, i'd have to take it to a new shop and get a new tune? Which would probably cost around $1000?
  21. Thanks for that, i'll keep the boost down and drive like a nan till i can get it looked at.
  22. Yeah, that makes sense, cover is off for now, and i'll probably leave it off, thanks. I checked the knock today, normal driving in the morning to work, on 7psi, after about 15 minutes of driving was at 12 (the knock) on the way home, running 12psi, with quite a few 6500rpm changes. knock was at 75. I didn't see the engine light at all, but it's pretty easy to miss, especially during the day. Is this normal? What would be causing it.
  23. Do you find you get much crap in the top of the engine without the valley cover off, the top of mine is already so filthy with sand and stuff, i'm too scared to try changing the spark plugs or anything untill i can get an air compressor or figure out a way of getting all the shit out of there. And yeah, i will definitely have a read through the manual and see what i can find around here. Thanks.
  24. Hey mate, I don't really know anything about the camber arms, besides that i need a camber kit to fix my neg camber (car has been lowered and is only really sitting on a little on about 150mm of tire. Do you know if these are all you need to fix the camber?
  25. Hey, thanks for the reply. I fixed the engine light/misfiring problem today, with a little gasket silicon, and electrical tape around the coil packs. It has a electronic boost controller which was set at 9psi, 12psi, 7psi, 7 psi, then theres another setting which i'm not sure what it is, then off. I don't really know how to use it, it was just set like that when i bought the car. I usually run 7 or 9 psi, (was still misfiring at 9psi) and occasionally 12, rarely though. After i taped up the coil packs, i can boost at 12psi, through 1st, 2nd, and third up to 6000-6500rpm before changing, no check engine light, and no stutter/miss.I had a look at the pfc, at the knock, it doesn't give me a number though, just a sideways line graph sort of thing, from take off the line moved a tiny bit, but after that nothing. so i don't think it's knocking. but i really don't know. What is the knocking? how should i check for it?
