P'dizzle, i have to bide my time for a few more paychecks so i guess i have no choice but to be patient......i got my first 'line from a delaer so that was nice and easy, i have been researching a few importing agents....j-spec, GT auto imports (in melbourne)....did u import urself, is it a hassle? and potentially how much cash could i save?
-
thanks mate, nah not yet i havn't picked one up yet, need a couple more months to save the paper, i've been thinking of gettin one thru motovationimports.com, all reports i've read are quite good about these guys although their prices seem a little inflated.......

After having sold my 33 about a year ago, my life has not felt totally complete, the sky doesn't seem as blue, beer doesn't taste as good essendon have only won one game and i seem to be emitting some kind of aroma that has caused female contact to be almost non-existent. i have come up with a solution that sir isaac newton himself could not have pondered when tyring to determine a mathimatical formula to describe the movement of celestial bodies................ BUY ANOTHER SKYLINE!!!!!!!! I'm so happy i just had to describe what i'm feeling into words!!!! C U ALL SOON!!!!

Yeah I'm gonna get them to install em...pretty much can't be stuffed, and they installed my immobilizer.........oh yeah thats what i was writing........just had a massive blue with my ex over money she owes me anyway.........yeah they did a great job with the immobilizer so il get em to do the speakers too range??? im not sure, i was going to get the tweets mounted on the a-piller but i actually also just read that thats probably not a good idea so awesome thanks for the advice il get em mounted down low....what r u running in the rear daveo?
-
hahaha yeah i'll swap em for a frount mount!!!! sweet...i'm stoked that someone is happy with em!!! got the 6 1/2 components for 329 from a place called stylin audio in melbourne.....went there to buy an immobiliser and thats all....i took only money for the immobiliser coz i knew if i took my cards i would end up buying stuff that i can't really afford!!! immobilizer ended up being 50 bucks less than i thought so i put 50 deposit on the quarts.......always happens!!!
-
yeah heard em and sounded great!! Also did a comparison between them and some focals....i thought the MB's sounded a little bright compared to the focals, but not so that ur ears were pierced.....thanks i think i needed some re-assurance that they were qaulity speakers ta
-
thanks mate....i've been doing some searching on the web but only coming up with sites that sell them not review them..., the guy said they are top quality but its hard to gauge whether they are giving u advice or trying to make a sale
-
Hey just wondering if any1 had heard of MB Quart speakers and whether or not they are any good? Just put a deposit on some DSE-216 6 1/2 splits without really thinking about it!!! I usually restrict myself to the more well know makes and have kinda stepped out of the circle on this one! Any feedback will b much appreciated!!! Happy lining!! (i mean SKY-lining!!!)
-
Thanks ferni.........its just that i had never done it to the skyline before and i guess i overthought it a litlle bit!! It turns out that I just turned everything off and let my car sit for about an hour and then tryed it - STARTED!!!
-
Thanks HKS!! Yeah I think im just paranoid about frying stuff......i don't have an aftermarket ECU, but just a turbo timer - i guess if that frys then its no too big a deal Cheers mate

Hey guys, I've just been down to the local 3 shop and got a sick new phone, and i must of been in a state of "OMG i've got a new toy!!" mind and I've left my headlights on for about 3 hours.......flat battery!!! Which brings me to my question - is it entirely safe to jump start my R33 using standard jumper leads??? Or will it result in fryed equipment namingly the ECU or Turbo timer?? Any insight into this would be helpful as I'm supposed to be going out tonight and i could really do without the Taxi fares!! (damn John Howard!!) Thanks

I'm really bewildered as to why Mitsubishi has all of a sudden lost all this market credibility???? I've always been under the impression that they are good cars.....(not being sarcastic!)
-
yeah i've been there before.....not for any work to the car but just to have a bit of a suss out. They seem pretty legit, and actually my brother knows one of the managers there....they certainly have some nice rides out the front!! Also i have dragged a WRX tuned by them and well lets just say that it sounded like it was about to take off!! Sorry i can't give u any more than that! Check out Evolution R as well......its about ten doors down
-
Lets go burn the place down....
-
Thats sounds like a good idea phorj!!....I think i will try that today, i guess its something i can do before i take it to get a tune. BTW do you still have that turbo timer for sale?
-
Thanks guys...yeah ur absolutly right! I got the car in december last year but i went to America for 4 1/2 months....when i got back there was a skyline in the garage for me and i guess i have been driving it a little "heavy" footed! Thanks for the info!
-
The o2 sensor?? Is that expensive and hard to replace??
-
yeah i thought it was weird only getting about that.....yeah sorry what i meant was that i know that turbo-charged cars use more petrol than NA's....yours is turbo yeah?
-
Hey, i have a 93' R33 and first of all i would like to say that this car bloody ROCKS!! However, I'm a little concered about the petrol usage.....i know that they use a lot of gas relative to other (naturally aspirated) cars but at the moment I'm getting just under 300K's for a full tank when driving it fairly quietly....is this normal??
-
BTW Thanks for de-stupifying me GiJoR33 and DJ984
-
OK...I said it was a stupid question!!! So i take it that the fluttering sound is bad and that i should look into fixing it.....however my blowoff valve sound like it is working OK. Also sometimes when i apply full load to the engine, my car kinda stutters and jutters and then fangs....
-
Hey I know this may sound like a stupid question.....but what's a BOV??? I have that flutter sound in my R33 and i certainly don't want to replace my turbo just yet...so i was thinking that i might want to check this BOV to see if it is blocked by anything?
