  1. shouldnt be too hard, itll bolt straight in, you may even be able to use the same loom and get the ecu chipped and tuned (2 birds, one stone). MAY be able to.
  2. not that much work.... if you just run a petrol rb20det you dont have to change anything. the cost and hassle of doing it would offset the cheaper price/litre of lpg. if it was an n/a v8, id say go for it, but not on an rb20det.
  3. actually series 3 R31's started in late 88, yours is an 88 model kpyz 88 was a shit year. I was racing BMX on a mongoose in 89.
  4. if you've got industry experience you can be one of the judges. Marc could probably judge it too.
  5. So much crap from people with no idea. you can drift anything, you can drift a fwd, evo, gtr, xd falcon, open diff VS, whatever. how much skill and commitment it takes to do so can be rather high.
  6. if you are just talking about going to big reds on the front, you may have to sort the bias out afterwards. Personally i would get rid of the ABS and do traning in braking (if you havent already) - personal preference. Are you going porche front and rear?
  7. take it somewhere else and get them to do a good alignment.
  8. i agree with mud.

good to see you back petey. you can get a HR31 GTS-X for under 10K easy.
  12. We already had a Gold Coast workshop on board at a very early stage, and I didn't really think it would be fair to them to approach other Gold Coast workshops. 80% of the cars I have seen at Automotive Technique have been Nissans, Im sure Gavin is very good, but he isn't the only guy in Australia who knows Nissan Imports. Just the way the cookie crumbled.
  13. s14 master cylinder might be an idea?
  14. how old are you now jason? 40-what?
  15. if you dont have some serious tools, the fronts will be a bit difficult. rears are easy, 3 x 14mm bolts in the boot on each strut top, then a 17mm nut/bolt combo securing the shock to the diff on each side. they are easy, just undo the 14mm nuts, then jack the car up (not by the diff) and unbolt the shocks from the diff, then pull them out. fronts - take it to a mechanic, too hard basket.
  16. you won't get any warnings. keep it in the wasteland, i don't care what happens in there. Everyone starts doing this in normal threads, it spreads because everyone thinks its alright, and pretty soon its whore central. I've had to deal with that before, and its just a hassle that shouldn't exist. Whore in whoretown, that's all there is to it. Not every post in QLD has to be productive or serious, I post on topic silly shit sometimes, i expect everyone to now and then, but this is ridiculous. The whole of SAU.com is not a whoretown.
  17. Guys, seriously, think about the image you project of the club. When people read this thread, they see SAU, and it looks shit. Use IRC to chat and act like fools. How many of you guys are coming to the skidpan day? or a track day? Its a car club and you just post crap online, lets see some real driving hey?
  18. Why does noone post in here anymore? Because they read threads like this and think we are a pack of 16 year old imbeciles.
  19. you're probably up for peoples choice too
  20. sexdr - some friendly advice - cars are for driving, overcrowding car parks and standing around for long periods of time is not as enjoyable as driving the cars. slip
  21. hes not paki.
  22. you can pay with sex steve.
  23. dont worry about the extractors, just to a 2.25 or 2.5 inch cat back system. out of 3 RB30's, the worst running one (mine) has extractors, other 2 ran great with cat back exhausts, till hilly put extractors on, now it runs shit.

just lvma and skidpan. the lvma is a large area with water bubblers on it that leak water onto the surface, some of its dry, some of its wet, and a small part of it is actually linoleum - which is tricky. They set out 3 time trial runs with cones. 1 slalom with a diamond at the end, you run through, round the diamond, run back. 27secs is quick. The other one is a launch, left turn, sprint down a straight, then a 4 cone clover leaf style section, then sprint back. 40secs is quick. Half the group does each one, then you swap. Then we use the whole area in a large time trial. I forget what the times are for that. In the now infamous words of Tze, you can go for time, or go for sick! Tze prefers the latter. If you try too hard to get a quick time and stuff up, the worst that will happen is you might tap a cone. I think it's cheap, for what you get, the low risk, and low vehicle wear. Check the last "skidpan day pics" thread for LVMA pics. Also - how many other events can you do where an NA 31 has a chance against 33 GTSt's, noone cares what you drive, and with such a great friendly atmosphere? The lunch is good too.
