    SAU Stickers

Just get them off gary please guys. Ska and others - If you pm him, he will reply. He may not reply immediately as he has a fulltime job so he is often at work, he checks SAU at night.
  3. The "Skyline" on the boot panel, "kenwood" on the rear speakers, and a few other things are all rigged to light up as well, looks cool. I've driven the car when it was midway through its development, best car i've ever driven. Not slow either. 180kmh was reached quite quickly. I don't think Tze has actually taken it on the track, just spent heaps of $ on it, and now he's selling it. The car would owe him quite a bit more than $55k too.
  4. there is still a chance to get in on the 20th march run. ring me on 0411870159 if you are keen. They are almost scraping enough people up. These events are awesome. I think this will be my 6th.
  5. You must ring me on my mobile as specified in the post john.
  6. I am doing this as a favour for Sideline motorsports. They have a full day booked for Saturday 20th March. Price around $150. There are only 8 spots. It is half full. If i can get 8 people for them, they dont have to cancel the day. If you are 100% in, and can pay straight away, I need a phone call on 0411870159, by 3pm on Friday 5th March. (do not ring with "id witheld" because I may not answer and will have to ring you back). Note : able to PAY STRAIGHT AWAY. You must ring me, do not reply to this post. You MUST be 100% in. I cannot stress this enough. If you are in, it's binding. If you don't turn up, you still owe the $150. Do not call me if you "might be able to get the day off work". IMPORTANT: If you go, you had better be able to control yourself, as I am trusted to provide suitable drivers. If you get there and go nuts, take risks, or do something stupid, you will really stuff it up for SAU, Sideline, the other 8 drivers, and me. There are a number of reasons for this which i won't go into. Again - I must know by 3pm Friday the 5th March (tomorrow!) I wont be going, as I probably have to work.

    Club Update

Chaos - We have actually done updates before this one, it went largely unnoticed. Given your circumstances, I don't understand how this is such a big issue for you. 2 hour round trip just to get 1 sponsors logo anyone? Waiting almost 6 months for another? We just got the shirt price back, so everything is sussed. Sponsorship deals, membership prices etc all to be announced very soon. PS, we are not talking about hundreds of dollars in expenses to get this thing started, it's in the thousands, so please join up when we launch.
  8. Only paying drivers get lunch. They still havent got a renewal for their insurance, but check the other thread for a chance to get on the pan for the 20th march (saturday).
  9. oz sedan. Im not saying that your rears are totally inadequate, just that they are not the best. I recommend to most people with aussie 31's (and others) to just do pads/fluid/rotors, because for the majority, its not worth going all out. Go the aussie shitbox.
  10. You almost had a head on just driving out of a driveway? Jeez.....

    Club Update

I was partying on a cruise boat, it was sweet. Its a big chain of events, we cant give prices yet as we dont know exactly what the shirts are costing, we didn't know what the shirts were going to cost for ages because we didnt have all the sponsors and their logos, we didnt have all the sponsors and their logos because nothing ever goes right, and so on and so forth. Its always something waiting on something else. But now its sorted Posting on the forum is not a measure of participation or effort. If that was the case, chaos would be running the official SAU club singlehandedly I dont even post that much, but I know sponsors phone numbers off by heart because i've spent time building good relationships with them and making sure they are good at what they do and will look after us.
  12. Ghostrider - my rears are r32 gtst callipers, over 278x20mm VN HSV rotors, VN handbrakes and what seem to be decent jap aftermarket pads. At Morgan Park short track, downhill into a hairpin over a surface with some imperfections, the rears did some tiny lockups, which i was happy with. It was the first time i've managed to properly lock the rears, and it shows me that the car is better balanced than it was. Rears cost me $1400. The DBA rotors alone were $510 for the pair. It was a once off job, as we couldnt find anyone in australia that had done it before on an aussie live axle 31. Fronts cost me more due to the nightmare of fitting R32 gtst stuff to aussie struts with import hubs. I cracked my front DBA rotors without even going to the track, and only 4-5 months of occasional driving. Glad to say that in their defence, DBA have addressed the situation to my satisfaction. Where did you get the brembo rotors from, what model/car were they from, and how much? Very interesting. If theres room anywhere in the front of the DR, and there are provisions on the motor to fit the oil cooler, go nuts I say. Where does the oil cooler pickup/dropoff to on the GTS1 motor? Bendix......No thanks.
  13. Sexus, oh sorry, Nexus, do you work from home, or for a business/company as an employee?
  14. The 2nd half rocks, time trials, slaloms, brake tests, motorkahnas..... Don't worry JL, you'll get used to it, ask belgarion and motox :D awaiting response from kev.

  16. You'd have to see if you could adapt the sump/4wd system to the rb20 you have. Obviously RB20's work with the 4wd (gts4) but exactly what is needed to be done to make it fit a gtr, and have the engine bay neat and tidy, could be a whole other story. You could put a CA18DET in there if you wanted, just depends on how much time money and skill you put in.
  17. Ah I didnt think you were talking brand new as they stopped making them years ago.
  18. mate i havent been able to contact them for the past few days. I am trying, don't worry about that. Also speaking with kev....

    Club Update

Gary is sorting out the shirt layout in the next few days. We now have 6 sponsors on board. Had to make a 2hr round trip just to get the logo from one for the shirts... Once the shirts are done and the stickers arrive from WA, we will announce the club launch.
  21. Uh, Nexus, an excel for 16,000??? Don't race R31's at the lights, you'll win the race, but the cops behind you will go for the 33, and then its bye bye licence... (sorry james )

  25. as soon as Sideline Motorsports finds out how much their insurance is going to be. Had this drama last time. No-ones fault but the public liability insurer. Just playing the waiting game. As soon as I have a price its all go.
