its all about power to weight. bikes generally have less power than modified turbo cars, but they will flog most of them in a roll on drag. Dont be surprised if a 1600 with a stock sr20 beats your mildly modified R33. Its not so bad though, imagine how HSV GTS owners feel with 300kw when they get done by less powerful, but much lighter, S13's etc.

Trying to confirm an early march date with Sidline at the moment. Mick - they are strict about chucking donuts and misbehaving etc, but drift is what we are there to do. Dude you were in a Daewoo, you were always gonna cop some flack In regards to payment - its first in best dressed. Im giving SAU a week or so to get payment to me, then i will get PF to fill the remaining spots. If you pay, then want to pull out, you need to find someone to fill your space, as I am taking the responsibility to front up with a lot of cash on the day. Payment by deposit into my bank account or mail order usually. It will be a Sunday.

I was thinking of doing mine myself, but i've just recalled some legal stuff that states there must be a 5mm diameter rounded edge on any items protruding from the bonnet. (or something to that effect) I think the 5mm thing is right. Im not sure if this applies only to forward facing items or not. Something to check out with qld transport. sirr31 i know a friend who can do fibreglass with an rb25det gt passage, ill speak to him.

cones and maybe some dirt or grass. bah.

ill demonstrate as i said in the original post there are at least 3 instructors, who are all there to get your drifting ability, confidence, speed, and car control as good as they can by the end of the day. most people just take the instructors for a quick ride, then the instructor might drive their car to show them how its done in their first session. after that you can just go by yourself (or drift with 4 passengers like i have to sometimes as people like GARY pile in) and learn as you go. Very relaxed atmosphere. $150 is worth it, trust me.

yeah he seems to have a thing for them. havent put mine on yet as still waiting on parts from japan.. let us know how they go whatever you get.

Ok guys, we need to have a discussion about the next possible skidpan day. First things first. 16 people, full day, $150 each. We do the skidpan as per usual for half the day, but then the LVMA for the other half. Let me give you an idea of the LVMA. Its basically a 100m x 100m bitumen area. It has witches hats on it, and little things that let water out. We do brake tests, slaloms, timed track runs. You get to go all out, the only thing you are worried about is putting in the quickest time you can. There will be points kept, with overall positions at the end of the LVMA. The usual instructors will be there, and its a full day of going mental in a legal environment. Instructors are very good drivers who also egg you on (tony). Its not hard on your car. The skidpan is covered in diesel and water and is easy on revs, temperature, tyres etc. LVMA is also easy on the car. Makes your car dirty though. If you are worried about that, dont come. If you want to go mental, or bet better at driving, come on down. I have been to a full day session with Performance Forums, and 2 half day skidpans which I have organised. Guys, talk to me about the price, the event, questions about instructors or possible damage, and who really wants to come. It will proabably be in feb or march on a Sunday.

Guys, this is a public forum. We should neither discuss proposed illegal road drifting venues or be seen to encourage it. 1. If you do, people will know where you will be and what you'll be doing. 2. Bad image for the club. I have organised 2, and attended 3 skidpan days in the past with this and another club. I am currently talking with the guys who run these events about doing another one and moving to another venue as well, so sit tight, there will be mad legal safe drifting soon.

sir r31, do you have any contact details? Its possible i will enter this year. I went to last years street sprints, had a great time. Huge variety of cars (EVERYTHING) and some good stacks.

from what i know, the core is the entire section between the end tanks which cools the air. If you wanted to change the core you would have most likely wasted your money purchasing the intercooler in the first place. Do some more research on the subject and see what you find.

mesmer has a vn commodore (i think) coil pack on his rb25det with all the leads running from that. needed to do it due to the autronic.
-
as far as I know the Z32 AFM is not a plug and play mod. Any import parts place should have one mate.
-
squizz - how many GTR's do you see with aftermarket plenums? Bugger all. Youve already got a plenum that allows easy fmic plumbing, probably a waste of money at this stage. spend it on the pistons and you wont have to worry about them again. get in irc more fool.
-
Sumo, if youve got the wheels, just jack the car up and see if they fit.
-
mate put the mesh back on your afm, its there for a reason. did you oil the filter? I think the 02 sensor doing that is normal, if it was always rich or always lean you'd have a problem. (note: i think)
-
nope. hes pretty sure it was a track/drift car in japan, because it had cracked rotors when it came over, plus the diff/ecu/fmic/really low teins.......
