  1. If anyone in brisbane with the original 4 stud 16" wheels would be able to let me trial fit one to my car it would be great. If they are the right fit i'll need to purchase a set. 32905111 during business hours, 32621860 a/h, 0411870159 mobile. thanks.
  2. 215's. different widths on the same width wheels is bad (from experience). Rear was walking around, front was planted.

  5. well dave if i can get your mum for 15 bucks i can do membership. there will be 2 different memberships though. 15 dollars for the basic pack i mentioned, and a higher level pack with shirt and maybe something else. good to see the high level of interest. now that im back ill try to organise some more cruises, but im effing busy at the moment.
  6. Just got back online guys. Club update for you all: We are now officially an incorporated association. Bob Jane is giving us discount pricing, they will soon be supplying me with discount cards which will be part of the membership pack that we are currently putting together. We are having a meeting soon so more stuff will get sorted out, more sponsorship, stickers/shirts etc. Can I have a show of interest for $10-15 membership packs > discounts/sticker/privilages.
  7. hey nvs if you can get hold of an R32 GT-R then thats definately appealing, but check out what its going to cost to insure first because it may be scary. for example: for me to insure a $10,000 R1 motorbike, the cheapest i can get it is $3900 per year. gotta say go the R over some yellow paint, wheels and a cooler, because an R is going to be a much bigger step up. good luck with it mate.
  8. Im going to dick smiths today or tomorrow (sat/sun) and ill know then, niz130 my phone number is 0411870159 if you want to sms me your number ill call you with a price and if its fine ill buy it for you.
  9. ok, for those that just want to come and drive the mad mountain run, we will meet on sunday 3rd november at mudjerebah shell at 10:00am. if you are going to be late, call 0411870159 or 0412187009 (luke/abuse) and we will wait for you. dave, if there are drivers at your place on saturday, please meet us there at that time to form a single group.
  10. unfortunately gary you knob polishing leaver of sleeping goods at steves, we seem to be the only solid buyers at this stage, so i may just go get the best price i can for us, but if i do that i will contact you with what i can get them for. its not that $78 one. ps. i ordered parts off steve.
  11. I'm going to do a group buy on these $99 Uniden UHF radios that we use on cruises and stuff. put your hand up if you are serious about getting one, im going to push for $90, need 10 people or more. The buy should occur in one month (early november) only reply if you are SERIOUS. these things are really handy on cruises/saturday night at the gold coast (street racers go on the same channel) etc

  14. Guys, i have monitor/keyboard/mouse etc, but no tower (it was rooted). Need something that can run win 9X and just browse the forums and word process. just something crap. any of the IT guys got one spare lying around or something? Looking for something hell cheap and dont need anything good. reply to this or 0411870159 after 6:30pm. PS. Monitor is the type that has 3 prong cord to the tower for power source, tower had 1 male 3prong for monitor and 1 fem 3 prong for power (2 3prong holes anyway, and ive found that some towers dont have that) let me know guys.
  15. mate, www.r31skylineclub.com will be able to help. SVD001 has the 001 GTS1, thats right, the 1st one built. are you after GTS1 or GTS2? they have bilstien shocks, i know that much, 140kw, different head/cam/ecu i believe. diff - should be stock lsd. box standard 5spd. 3.7 ratio diff is what manuals come with, so id expect that. all have bodykits and 16" wheels, nice ones. Great seats, more like import than regular aussie interior. hope that helps mate.
  16. niz130, you should see an aussie R31 sit next to an R32 in a highway race. He pulled on me, but only when i changed gears (more revs = he kept foot down for longer) i like the 32's for looks, weight and handling. 20k is way too much. 15k is ok.
  17. can i be in the picture, next to the fully sick abuse bro? show off the rice/rat**** contrast
  18. Ok guys, ive got some time off work on monday morning and im going in to register sau qld as an Incorporated Association. wish me luck ladies. after that we will get sponsorship and membership stuff happening.
  19. yeah that sounds ok cheech.. you got room for me to crash? IIIIIM OOOK TO DRIIIIVE........ lol!
  20. ionos, the 4wd system (ATTESA) is computer controlled. the car is in full rwd mode unless it is putting power to the front wheels, so dont really worry about the fuel consumption. Control the fuel consumption with your right foot. with the gts4 you can just pull a fuse out and go rwd only (as ABU53 / LA LA does...often) and i have seen ATTESA save him and the car from, well, doom. so it can be a pretty handy thing. gts4 is heavier, if you want to get good throttle control and like rwd, go for the gtst, if you want the different (more advanced?) driving experience ATTESA can give, go for that. if the rear starts to go you can still turn in, as power will be fed to them. drive both. good luck big fella.
  21. if you use no2 properly it shouldnt root your engine. things that i have done that improve acceleration: Extractors and full exhaust system Gutting cat (bad idea though, highly illegal) Advance the timing so far that it will ping on anything less that 98 octane Give the intake air the simplest route to the throttle body Strip weight Take radiator fan off and replace with thremo fan Remove a/c belt (and system:see strip weight) Many people have said the rb25de is not great for powering up, but i have been building the ultimate non turbo rb in my head. RB30 block with 11:1 pistons RB25DE R32 Head/ecu etc : Ported, dowelled intake/exhaust manifolds, cams, adj cam gears, lightened rods/crank, lightened flywheel plus all above mods, dyno tuned. FAT midrange (for what it is) great engine for drift and punching out of corners. N/A you need cubes, thats all there is to it.
  22. bozz ya nut, what do you expect when you give it the herbs, in 1st, when the engine will be strong. Maybe use a higher gear when you are going to do the roll on, you can use more throttle with less risk of spinning the rears. merli : i dont think you have traction problems in your example. you may not be able to go full stick 100% of the time, but this is not a perfect fairytale world where the road and your treads are magic. You choose your tyres, and you can change your rear end setup if you like, to have the most available friction but after that its up to you. thats it. you cant change reality. think about big power skylines over in japan. they have NO chance of getting their grunt to the ground without precise throttle control. only way to do it is to have gears as rear wheels and ribbed metal roads, 100% traction, whatever throttle opening. bit silly though. the hilux, that thing would be sick fun. there are of course instances like that which are rare. Bottom line is, in MOST instances, its a SKILL thing.
  23. hey boxy, im bringin the gf, can we shotgun a bed/couch? ring 0411870159 and then hang up if its a yes (i wont be online before the bbq)
  24. who is staying overnight and drinking? (is this still the plan after the bbq?)
  25. Hey, if you've got traction problems, you've got em. As I did state first up with rear end issues, that includes rear tyres. But basically, you can't change physics. There's a certain amount of friction between your tyres and the road at any given time, and you control how much power gets to them. If you give more power than there is friction available - they spin. Merli: with this 'only being able to put a certain % of your total peak hp down' stuff. i must point out that unless you are at the exact point of peak power in your rev range and trying to use full throttle, what you said doesn't apply. You accelerate through a rev range, and YOU choose how much goes to the rear bags. Unless you are at your peak power point, at FULL throttle, you're not trying to put down 180rwkw (which i do not feel is a big deal btw) We've got guys in this club that have bikes with about 130rwhp, and they put it down through a contact patch the size of your foot. This sort of talk i've never come across in the bike scene, it was more like "crikey its powerful, spins the rear at part throttle in second!" You choose how much throttle you apply, and thats that. If you give too much and spin up, thats your choice, you did it, dont complain. (very glad this has remained civil )
