  1. Hi all, Could have posted this in the Performance section but I figured Steve-SST might see it here easier. My mate bought a Wolf 3D v4 to originally put in his VL with rb26dett motor. However, he decided that he'd need a MoTeC and has this Wolf laying around. As it's not the R33 specific plug-n-play model, can I still make it run without having to chop wires'n stuff or can it be modified so that it fits and runs no problems. The unit is brand new if that helps. Cheers! Dave
  2. Hope everyone has a very "festive" season and a very Merry Christmas -Dave
  3. done 500 km's on mine and counting...still running great Also have ARIAS pistons....
  4. Not quite gauges but gauge related, the A-pillar mounts. I just bought a single a-pillar mount to fit my 60mm boost gauge (HKS Direct Bright...mmm....) but as it's a generic gauge holder, it needs to be modded to fit on my A-pillar. Do you guys know who can do this? Cheers.
  5. Try this select age of your car and voila! all the info you need. http://imports.motortraders.net.au/imports...n&model=Skyline
  6. Dude, as far as i'm aware, there are no white gauges in existence that do not glow at night. Also, just spoke to Dan again re: the price you were quoted (I'm assuming from Greg) and although cheaper than UAS, he said to speak to him direct on his mobile (# posted above) and he'll probably be able to do a better deal again. (I'd expect it closer to $200 if not below) Let me know how you get on if you call him as it's my reputation on the line here too as I'm saying he'll look after you and I don't want to known as some guy who spins BS about looking after SAUWA with deals. Cheers!
  7. Jason, Might be worth giving the Spoiler Shop in Myaree a call. Ask for Dan as I'm sure he can get these kits cheaper than that. That's where I got mine from. 9317 1988 Cheers! Dave edit: I spoke to Daniel and he said give him a buzz on his mobile 0401 434 394 and he'll hook SAUWA up with a great deal He laughed when i told him the UAS price!
  8. Um, HIPSI, did your friend change bonnet and surrounds too cause it's totally a different shape of the headlights on S2 (more square)? Also the front grille won't fit (trust me, I tried to sell my S2 grille to a guy with S1 and wouldn't fit right). Check your facts mate.
  9. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone could shed some light. Situation is as so:- 1) New plugs gapped to 0.8mm 2) Cleaned and flow tested injectors - all ok 3) Fully rebuilt engine so no problems there (runs sensationally) 4) New fuel pump so plenty of fuel Problem i'm having is that sometimes she sits and turns over for a little while rather than firing up. Could this be CAS or TPS (throttle position sensor)? Cheers! Dave
  10. Can you remove albums from the Gallery? I've given up with these punks changing my pics so i've just added the one individual photo that can't be changed and need my album removed. Cheers.
  11. PranK, It appears that you can edit other people's gallery images, manipulate them and add text. Obviously there is a very bored/sad soul out there which finds it funny. Don't know what the login area for it is for? Username and P/W don't work there??
  12. was simply suggesting for anyone else Glad you were on the ball, i almost wasn't when i put mine in.
  13. Posted a couple of piccies up.
  14. Just a word of warning, make sure the adjustable bit is tight else your timing will slip badly and make the car backfire and run like a pig.
  15. Bass Junky:- Cheers dude. I think that's what will be done. HIPSI - Yep, forgies are in and swinging. Sounds great. In my opinion, impossible to hear "piston slap". Love it. JimX - No offense dude, but i never thought rev'n the tits of it was ever an option. Boost can't be great for a new engine as RSN11Z said. I think my engine will see some mild work, low throttle hold in gear (to about 4.5 - 5K) acceleration, high load/low revs. All I have to say is it's sweet to have it back. Thanks everyone for their input.
  16. yeah, i bought running in oil - full mineral that's only good for 500 kms. used a special bottle thingo and an air-compressor and pumped oil up through the galleries so it was fully lubed before it started. You have any suggestions for running it in Sydneykid? ie, nurse it, flog it, vary rpm, long constant rpm drives, stop start work, low speed/high gear, hill climbs?
  17. Righto, I'm expecting a few varying opinions on this but what is the best way to run in a new engine. I've just had mine rebuilt and am about to run her in. The engine is cranking over and is already fully lubed so i don't need any info on that. Cheers!
  18. "Highway to Hell" - AC/DC Sorry, such a morbid thread some light humour was needed. :uh-huh:
  19. yeah i just paid my rego too....only 6 months, can't afford it at the moment, monthly pay sucks.
  20. Niz, good thing they identified that there was no fuel going in, you don't want to go through a rebuild due to the car running lean like i just did, particularly partially unemployed. I think mine's cost me nearly $5K now and my old boy and I have done most of the labour ourselves! I'm sure you'll have more luck than i did with your fuel pump. Paul knows what he's doing doesn't he
  21. don't get me started on new fuel pumps. I put a Bosch unit in mine and it sucked up a piece of rubber which apparently came off the brand new hose I bought to connect it to the fuel filter sock thingo. Long story short the place I bought it from won't pay out as they say not pump fault but foreign object. I now have to buy second brand new pump. Will be going to place where I bought the "fuel line" off to give them a piece of my mind and hopefully recover the hole in my wallet.
  22. g'day dan
  23. Hey Niz, just reading your signature, you're getting an FMIC for Xmas? Sweet :uh-huh:
  24. Morning all!
  25. Hi all, Just got me a nice HKS Direct Bright boost gauge and pillar mount. Wondering where people with pillar mounted meters run their wires? do they drill a hole in their panelling? I'd rather not do that.... Cheers
