  1. Some of my efforts Taken with Canon Digital Ixus 50 Sorry if some are large!! (5MP camera)
  2. totally interested in group buy. I also want to replace the bulbs in my driving lights (standard s2 type)...oh oh, and my high beam cause i've done a 4 headlight conversion so my lowbeams stay on with my highbeam and now my HID's make my high beam look shit...
  3. I also installed mine today. Very happy with the lights as they look in the daylight, can't wait to see them in a few hours...Cheers to my bro for the help installing and damono for the install guide. All up only took us about 20-25mins. Too easy.
  4. what do you see at as then? if not policing, what possible reason do you use to justify sitting in the right lane holding up traffic? don't get me wrong, i totally agree with you that tailgating is dangerous and that people shouldn't resort to that when someone is going slower than them in the right lane, but if i were to speed up behind you but maintain a "safe" distance, i'd like to think you'd move over promptly and let me speed away on my merry way. who are you to sit in the right lane and hold me up? If I choose to speed, that's my decision, not yours.
  5. see, i disagree with the above post. If someone chooses to speed, i get out the way and let them. It's not my place to police the roads, that's what the cops are there for (when they're not stickering imports). Hopefully, they will get what is coming to them. I am a strong advocate for get the f**k out the way of faster cars behind, speeding or not, if someone wants to get past, let them. It doesn't affect your drive one bit to let someone else go past. Drive your own drive and do it from the appropriate lane. Oh and a big shout out to perth drivers utilising freeway south, here's my tip of the day: the "your speed" sign does not take your photo if you're going 60km/h, not if you're doing 70km/h or even 170km/h. Please don't brake and slow the whole freeway to 35-40km/h. We're all going slow enuf as it is. Cheers.
  6. Paid and collected. Now to install... Cheers Ben
  7. definitely season 5, episode 1 that was aired. I've got 20mins to wait for my torrent to finish. c'mon c'mon c'mon...
  8. so what's the dealio? Order was suppose to close yesterday. Does this mean you've placed the order for this next lot? I'm keen to get my new lights!!
  9. I got some from BP Kardinya today after going to Myaree and Applecross, both of which were out of both ultimate and premium. I'm guess vortex is the next best stuff??
  10. *dig dig dig* "Are we in india yet?" U must be tired of digging nOOb?
  11. anyone who missed out on the first group buy, refer to the original post in the original thread. New one on its way. Dave
  12. ditto. i want in. didn't get back from o/s until today and saw this! money can sent as soon as you confirm i can get in with buy. H1's 6000K for 33GTST. PM sent. Cheers
  13. Agree with everything that has been said. All so true and piss me off no end. But none more so than this: That is the single trueist statements I've ever heard. One and one people? Geesus, you think we'd asked them to solve the meaning of life. FFS, lights go green, if left lane ahead, it goes left, right, left right as you merge into single file. If some twat guilty of not taking off at "normal" accelerationg speeds results in one instance of one, two, one, so be it, but then it continues one and one. Same with merging lanes, roads, on-ramps, narrowing raods, whatever. One and one. It's polite, it's easy. I nearly ended up the curb the last time a Perth driver dislayed their ignorance to the one and one principle as some b!tch in a 4WD decided they were going to "beat the hoon". Needless to say, I got out my car the next set of lights, and very politely educated this person who refused to wind down her window. Bear in mind, i was neatly presented in my suit and tie as I was heading to work Gees it gets me fired up. My like the original poster stated, they have no response to "polite education"
  14. Jase, Supercheap auto sell some products that I like to catagorise as "car care". Buy a good brand like Macguires, the full set so pre-wash, wash, polish and wax, obviously you'll need a cut and polish product as well, grab a rag, roll up those sleeves and do it yourself. Spend a good few hours, your arms will be in pain but the car will look shmicko
  15. I've rebuilt my engine. From memory, as far as minimum parts go your looking at: *Pistons *Complete Gasket Set *Water Pump (always worth replacing when doing rebuild) *Fluids, Filters *Machine the block *Tidy the head *Labour Optional parts included: *Fuel pump (although not part of engine rebuild, probably the cause of the detonation that caused #2 to shat itself) *Clutch (option while the engine is out, may need one anyway) *More labour Buget an easy $6K...
  16. Hi Bass, I know that my HKS GT2535 unit will spin for about 10-20secs after my car is turned off, even if i only turn it on for a min, move it 10m to make room for my housemate getting out of the drive then turn it off again. That's a ball bearing turbo but whether or not it's a special type of ball bearing, i have no idea. Sorry, can't comment on GCG highflow.
  17. The ignitors for the SII are located within the coil packs.
  18. I'm also of the rebuild opinion. When I bought my car (admittedly only a GTST) I never planned on big HP or swapping turbos or anything. Long story short, No 6 ring lands went for thier own tour and left me with your choices - rebuild or 2nd hand motor. Figuring that the 2nd hand motor could end up with yet another rebuild, i went the rebuild the first time around, replaced some OEM stuff with some fancier stuff - forged pistons, balanced crank, etc, without going over the top. Car now runs sensationally. No problems and I love it to pieces. Don't sell.
  19. What i particularly love about this stupid, stupid topic is that people generally fail to put their "P" plates up (i know mine musta "slid" off the parcel shelf/dash a lot when i first started driving) anyway so what makes anyone think that even if this stupid, stupid suggestion takes flight, that people are going to display such a plate??? bunch of absolute retards....
  20. Thanks...heard some good things from Silvia forums about this place as well. Cheers for everyone else's replies, not really looking for the painting at this point, more looking for the felt door trimmings etc. Dave
  21. Ok, after extensive searchs revealing nothing, a new thread has been created... So, does anyone have any recommendations about places that retrim interiors? I know Jase had his done and I know it looks good but I have my own reasons for not wanting to use that guy after convo's with Jase so i'm looking for shops/workshops that do that sort of work to good quality for reasonable dollars. Cheers!
  22. My turbo timer hits a maximum of 3:20 using full auto mode and that's travelling long distance sustaining 110km/h+. Usually it will run for around the 1:30mark after some spirited, some normal. Mine's integrated into my alarm so i can lock the car with it running and walk away. No dramas.
  23. My mates car was exactly the same. He had big bovus maximum BOV (twin trumpet style) and his turbo fluttered even when driving like a granny. Put a plumb back on and all gone.
  24. actually, that's probably quite true the clothing point. I can't say i've ever been bothered driving around in my suit and tie. I bet if you pull up next to cop and they see you with your seat leaning right back, the beanie/backwards cap and the "i'm gods gift to women" look on your face, you're going to get a whole different treatment to "I'm a boring accountant with a nice car" look that I give them when commuting to work
  25. see, last time i was pulled over, they were interested in my catch can. I told them that it wasn't a performance mod and was purchased when i first got the vehicle to help monitor the health of my engine as I know nothing about them and was recommended by my mechanic to fit one. I explained that an unhealthy engine blew oil into the air intake and that this can caught that oil. I then pointed out that the can is completely empty so I was very glad that my engine was indeed healthy. He advised that I get a permit for it at my next convenience and i thanked him and went on my way. Regardless of the fact that I have FMIC, EBC, PFC all with no permits!
