  1. I don't know what the story with the sticker type number plates are. I know that in order to get 3/4 size or 1/2 size plates you can only have a certain number of charaters on your plate. Mine had too many thus had to pay maximum $$ for polycarbonate as well. Boostzor: Nope, wasn't me in Kings Park. Sorry. I was totally asleep at that time! Strich9: I know it's not 100% official but is that car from Melville Auto Imports? Think I saw one line it there when I drove past the other day. Cheers all Dave
  2. Not entirely true. You can have slimline at the back, you just have to make up a plate which covers the massive space left there and also to cover the big nut which holds the rear bar on. Have a look at mine next time you see me (bring on the next crooze!) to see what the hell i'm talking about. Cheers! Dave
  3. If you're looking for the a small cheap reliable turbo timer, you can't go past the pivot item. I've got it in mine and it's barely noticable. Only $160 new from Xspeed but if you can get it second hand from HKS-S14, go for it! My 2 cents (i don't charge GST)
  4. No worries dude. I think my mates a bit pi$$ed off that Bruce is telling people that. I rang him after I read your post and he's the one that asked me to ask why you got that impression. Very interesting about the price. Obviously I don't work for the spoiler shop so I can't say why there is a clear difference in price, but I will make them aware of that fact. As I said, mention your are with the Skyline's club and Daniel should give you a better price. Take it easy:cool:
  5. Hi I don't have many mods (well cat back zorst and pod) and I noticed mine having a bit of a lumpy "pop" noise in the zorst at idle which wasn't so noticable during driving but no doubt still there. I went thru what you're experiencing. Turns out my injector in cyl 6 wasn't closing off and had overfueled the cyclinder and washed all the oil away from my valves, significantly dropping my compression in that cyclinder. Long story short, do the following: 1) Clean out your AFM, you'd be surprised how much cr*p gets built up in that little item. 2) Clean out your injectors - probably can't do this yourself? Find someone that can. 3) Get new sparkies if necessary. I haven't gapped mine but as I said, i'm pretty standard. 4) Get someone to perform a compression test on your cylinders. Other than that, I can't help :headspin: Cheers!
  6. JiMiH: That's not actually true dude. In fact, I don't believe any of the bodykits that the Spoiler Shop stock come from Fibrevision. Personally, I am a personal friend of one of the blokes that works there in the sales section and can tell you straight up their kits coming directly from suppliers and definitely not Bruce (Fibrevision). Can I ask why you thought they buy their stuff from Fibrevision? Everyone else: I'm sure if you go to their Spoiler shop and ask for Daniel and tell them you are from the Skyline's forums, he'll make sure you get a good price. I know they look after the Silvia club too. They have club discounts available and I know several forums members have already bought products from there (myself included). In fact, one of the Fibrevision employees now works for The Spoiler Shop as a full time fitter/customiser/spray painter!
  7. HJB: Check out the crooze details under the "Events" section of Western Australia, up the top. 25GTT: Ah okay, cool:) Hey, was one of the differences Joe was showing you four studs instead of five holding the wheels on? I was parked next to one with 4 stud hubs where as mine has 5. Both R33. Come to think of it, I did notice the badge was blue?? Cheers! Dave:cool:
  8. JiMiH Saw your car today dude in East Perth. Looks schmick. Love the colour, very unique but suits the '32 to a T. You cruisin' on Friday? Love to have a better look. I was in a taxi. Cheers Dave
  9. Far out! That white skyline in the 2nd picture looks like a clone of my car, only with a sunroof! That can only mean one thing.... NICE CAR! See you all on Friday for da crooz Dave:burnout:
  10. Dunno how it happened but within about 2 hours of receiving a net quote saying they'd insure me and that it'd "only" be $1.3K, i ran to the building and signed up! 60% NCB, oh yeah....
  11. Great results Matt! Well done man, faarrkk, that's some nice rear wheel power. Just for those of us that don't know, what sort of mods are you running so that we may get an idea of what an R33 can achieve. The choice of ECU is driving me nuts. I'm thinking of paying out for ACV-R for now just to control boost as a "baid-aid" option til i decide what comp. Well done again:) Dave:burnout:
  12. HBF don't insure imports I was with them for 4 years and when i got my 'line they gave me the big f*$koffski. I'm with RAC now paying $1.3K on the same 96 series II Stritch9ine got a quote for :-) for 21yo.
  13. Hi All, Looking at getting FMIC but was wondering the best way you all thought to do it. Do I re-route an end tank (drivers side - the out side of cooler) back under the cooler and up through existing holes and replace all standard piping with metal stuff at the same time or do i cut a hole in my inner guard (or wherever it has to be cut) to route the return piping straight out the cooler, up thru the guard and up over and around the engine? Thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers all. Dave
  14. Spoke to the redline bloke at the Auto Salon on the weekend about this exact issue. He told me to get the Redline Lightweight Shockproof gearbox and diff oil. Now it's not cheap, like $113 ish for the gallon you are going to require but I've heard lots of good things about it. My oil is getting changed tomorrow for it so i'll let you know if I notice a difference Cheers
  15. Want to know the funny thing.... "JENKINS" is a non-turbo automatic skyline! It would take a mightly long time to wind that up to a speed where those crappy stickers might actually start to peel off!
  16. Hi Guys, Sorry, I can't pass messages on. I was only helping out a mate for the weekend (Shannan) who works there full time. Wish I could pass it on tho and find out the story behind the pissy events at classic rally or this so-called fuel line. Sorry dudes
  17. Hope I'm not too late. Hat me:p (I'll have one too please) Cheers Dave
  18. AW11: I don't know if you mean the red S2000 from the JPR stand but that did go on and got 155.8HP at the treads. Apparantly another one (silver one i think) went on later and got 10HP or so more. Not sure on that one. I met a few skyline owners at the show and I may have met some of you but I'm not really sure. I was the blonde guy working at JPR. Looking forward to meeting you all in person at the next crooze! Take it easy all Dave
  19. Hi all, Thinking about getting a Power FC and hand controller for my 'line but thought to myself, what about my HICAS? Does the PFC control that or do I lose that function on my car? If anyone could clear this issue up it would be appreciated. Cheers Dave
  20. MrSnrub: Check your PM. Save wasting the thread. Dave
  21. I'll be there. Probably working for JPR the whole weekend. MrSnrub: Do you go to the Silva Club Crooze's? I occasionally am seen there. I'll make a point of saying Hi if you go. Dave.
