  2. I was getting rich and retard at 12 psi, so we dropped it down to 10psi on the dyno and still the same prob. So we ended up just leaving it at 12psi. Nothing a power fc wont fix. When my car was getting rich and retard it didnt feel like a miss, u could just see it in the dyno graph, there was dips all over the place. Mike
  3. yeh i have now got the boost at around 10-11psi and it is fine. I had the coil pack issue most 33's seem to be having and already changed them. All seems to be good for now, until i get a power fc mike

  7. Hey car is a 96 r33 s2, car has been fine until last night. I was driving along and was in third gear, i started to accelerate, the car got to about 3500rpm then cut-out for a second. It was like a big jerk. Then further up the road i tried again and the same thing happen. Today i took it for a drive and it was fine, but tonight when i went to accelerate it happend again. Im starting to think it might have something to do with the colder weather at night? I also thought it might be boost cut. It is currently set at 12psi. The only thing i have changed lately was the boost controller. I went from a no name bleed valve, to a turbotech ($22 one from the forums). I think it may be getting just under 13psi sometimes (when its colder). Anyways just wondering if anyone could help out.   9. Hey mate if its the price ur worried about, go for the hankook k104's. Ive got them on my car at the moment. Much better than the falkens and around the same price. Do a search on the forums for them and u see all the good feedback on them. N e ways im not sure what GT is so out of Nankang and Falken, id go for the falkens. Also if they are the ze326 ive heard a lot of bad things about em
  10. Im using the standard ECU and the Air/Fuel ratio's are all over the place at the end because the ECU is going into rich and retard mode. We tried dropping the boost down to 10psi and this was still happening
  11. Got my car on the dyno the other day and it was making 173kw on 12psi and 181kw on 13psi. I thought this kind of power was ok for the mods i have. So rev210, u got any ideas as to why my terminal speed is slow? My boost was actually bleeding from 12psi down to 9psi? Could this have been the reason? I recently got a new boost controller from simark87, and it seems to be holding better. Sorry bout the stupid questions, its just that im going down to the drag strip in the next couple of weeks and dont wanna be stuck in the 14's again.   16. Hey I was just wondering if these power dips are normal for a standard computer? I thought that it might be going into rich and retard mode. We tried setting it to 10 psi but the dips still remained, and we tried setting it at 13/14psi and it got 181rwkw. Car is a 1996 R33 GTST Mods: 3" Front pipe GTR cat 3.5" HKS Cat-Back K&N POD FILTER un-sheilded GTR Intercooler Bleed Valve set at 12psi Do u think it may be getting too much airflow at 10psi aswell? Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Mike
  17. I was having the same prob. On 7psi it was fine, 12psi and it would missfire at about 4000rpm. Checked the coil packs and they all had the burn marks down the sides. I changed the coil packs and all is good now. My guess is ur coil packs are stuffed, maybe try and get a lend of someone elses to try it out

  19. Hey rev210, i recently attented the NDSOC Drag Day at heathcote and the best time i could do was a 14.07@97mph. My 60' time was 2.1 also. My current mods are exhaust from frontpipe back (no dump), bleed valve set at 12psi (some cheap brand and may not be reaching desired boost in 3rd and 4th gear), GTR intercooler, Pod filter (no sheild), and the tyres are HANKOOK K104's 265/35/18 at 36 or 37psi (i know its very high). What do u think my problem is as to why i can't get into the 13's? Also what would u expect a car with my mods to achieve? Sorry for all of the questions, u probably get a lot of people asking but u seem like u know what u are talking about so i thought u would be a good person to ask. Thanks, Mike

  22. I took my car to the NDSOC Drag Day at Heathcote on Saturday and the best time i could get was [email protected]. My car is a 96 r33 gtst and the only mods i have is a 3.5" HKS cat-back exhaust, custom 3" front pipe (no dump pipe), GTR Cat, GTR intercooler, K&N pod filter and a cheap bleed vavle set to 12psi. The tyres i was using was HANKOOK K104's 265/35/18 set at 37psi. 60' time = 2.1 660 time = 9.08 660 mph = 78.75 I am no expert in drag racing but i would have thought that my mph should have been higher by the end of the 1/4 mile and i should have at least cracked into the 13's. I have been thinking that maybe its my boost controller that letting my car down in top end, because im not even sure if it was hitting 12psi in 3rd and 4th gear. Any help would be appreciated
  23. Hey riggaP, what could be some possible causes of a low mph. I'm kinda suspecting that my boost may not have been getting to 12psi in higher gears. Could this be the problem?
